So..... the game's out now. You gonna play it? Because surprisingly, it isn't just "Pokemon with guns." It's more like "ARK Survival crossed with Pokemon." The main focus is not on catching Pals to battle other people and wild Pals, it's to catch Pals to expand your workforce to build your base, gather resources, and improve your weapons, tools, and levels to go and catch better Pals, and so on.
Yes, that's straight up a Luxray, but when you say Great Tusk to a grass elephant thing with tusks, and "future paradox Roaring Moon with Iron Valiant wings" I start thinking you're making a streach for some. Like yes, it's basically the pokemon artstyle, but at some point you're just listing animals and colors
All I’m gonna say is that the devs and staff are putting some damn good effort into this. And even though it’s a blatant knockoff of Pokémon, it does seem to have some great characteristics to it.
On the first trailer reaction I was like "Yeah I can see the comparison but it's just fantastic creatures with similar motifs, they don't look that similar" until the last shot Where they had to use the most similar creatures to Lucario and Zoroark/Reshiram they could find
This game is literally what ive wanted since i lost my intense love for Pokémon but its slowly been coming back. Like before I ever saw this game trailer I showed my friend a clip of someone taking control of a machine animal in Horizon zero Dawn and making it fight another creature. I've looked at craftopia and there have been days where I considered throwing myself into the madness but held off. This looks way more polished and like it will take away my free time completely if it works properly
I looked more into it and it's not nearly as bad as it seems at first. It's basically a more mature version of pokemon, in this world the pokemon are called "Pals" and it's a universe where harsh weather and food shortages are a huge problem. The sweatshops are because of basically the team rocket of this universe called "poachers." They illegally force the Pals into doing hard labor. The gameplay is going to be like any survival, PvE or shooter game, except your Pals help you fight. It's a multiplayer game, and there's going to be crafting and it's going to be open world. You'll be able to choose what you want to do, and, interestingly enough, that includes the choice to eat your Pals if you run out of food. You can also choose to be a poacher yourself and illegally trade your Pals for money. There's going to be dungeons, you can force your Pals to do manual labor, there's farming, there's a building system, you can even make them breed if you want to. Overall, it looks pretty good. Definitely not the "worst" Pokemon knock-off.
I’ll be honest here I am very hyped for this game, I first heard about it in 2022 and it was supposed to release in 2023, but got delayed till January 2024, i’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again, I am very hyped for this game.
Palworld is a Monster Taming Game the game is in a genre called Monster Taming. Gym Leader Ed who I highly recommend has so many videos debunking claims against "Pokemon Clones".
I wish this game came out before we had a lot of options for games, so some kids would just have memories of this insane game. Heck, there might even be speedruns/challenge runs of this game. But now since we can just go play anything else, it's probably gonna die real quick. Strangely sad.
Excited for it to come out next friday. I watched 48 minutes of gameplay today that gym leader ed reacted to for the paldecks and the game just does genuinely look like this, all of that is gameplay. I dont care if some of the monster inspiration is similar, it just looks like fun to me.
5:25 Tangrowth-Pangoro-Abomasnow. Notice how you have to say two Pokémon for each singular Pal there is. The game was made by Japanese developers, and so was Pokémon, and both are based on Yōkai of Japanese mythos, so of course there will be similarities. Each Pal is different enough to say that is is not a Pokémon, but rather a depiction of a Yōkai that Pokémon has already made its own depiction of.
And that it looks like an extremely fun game with actually refreshing new ideas on the genre and it looks extremely fun compared to main series pokemon which has been absolutely terrible for at least a decade.
I’ve been waiting for the sequel to his reaction of Palworld. Thank you.

At 3:41 you pretty much nailed the idea of this game. It's just some random bullshit all at once that reminds you of Pokemon that actually do make sense.
Wannabet he would call Dragon Quest monsters a pokemon clone when it released before red and Green, He already called SMT a pokemon clone with demons despite it being an 87 game.
I think this is the only Pokemon inspired game that I've ever been genuinely excited for. God knows what it'll be like, but it looks fun as hell and I love that they're taking this brightly-coloured, happy-go-lucky aesthetic and adding all sorts of horrible real-world adjacent atrocities to it. If the gameplay is good this might end up being a new favourite game of mine.
Lol I already wanted the game and now with each trailer I want it even more. 1 thing I liked was using the rocket launcher to shoot out a ton of pokeballs and mass capture everything in the field.
Honestly Pokemon has set the bar so low that if Palworld isn't a buggy mess it's already got a foot up on Scarlet and Violet. In fairness though that's a big IF.
The title is accurate in that it is really bad at being a Pokémon knockoff, because it's not intended to be one. It's its own game that dares to do everything Pokémon would never do. It's like if Pokémon was serious. It's more hardcore than the Pocket Monsters manga.
i have never heard of palworld until i saw it randomly on steam, and i have never laughed with such pure joy at a trailer, and i too will be playing this game the second it comes out
Just one question. Why does this game look better than the newer pokemon games them selfs? This should not be but it is and now I'm genuanly interestet in the game.

He juste change the title from "The Worst Pokémon Knockoff is actually coming out...." to "The STRANGEST Pokémon Knockoff is actually coming out...." just because it's a good game
This dude looks horrified at the "sweatshops" but Pokémon is literally worse, you beat up and capture near sentient beings and only bring them out of their prisons to fight each other. At least these Pals get to stay out of the Pokeballs and move about the Pokémon just stay in either statis/locked up in their Pokeballs for most of their lives, the only time they can move about is in the daycare or in fights to the death otherwise they are stuck in the ball. That sounds like a cursed existence/living hell to me seems like it's better to be a Pal than a Pokémon.
I have unironically been excited for this games since the first trailer. I have little faith that it will be good, especially when it first releases in early access, but it is just so ridiculous that I have to play it.
This thing has been in my Steam wish list since the first trailer. I really hope it is as fun as it looks. Even if there is no actual story, I will be happy just collecting not pokemon and blowing shit up.

What if it's all a conspiracy and Jack is actually sponsored by Palworld, and is doing this to drive up interest in the game? How DEEP DOES IT GO!?
Let's be honest... This game actually looks kinda peak...
Jack: “WHO IS SHE?!!😠
Also jack: “who is she?😏

Yes, that's straight up a Luxray, but when you say Great Tusk to a grass elephant thing with tusks, and "future paradox Roaring Moon with Iron Valiant wings" I start thinking you're making a streach for some. Like yes, it's basically the pokemon artstyle, but at some point you're just listing animals and colors
"Future paradox roaring moon" made me giggle cause its just salamance
its like hes trying to make comparisons so he can justify being mad its really weird
All I’m gonna say is that the devs and staff are putting some damn good effort into this. And even though it’s a blatant knockoff of Pokémon, it does seem to have some great characteristics to it.
How is it a knockoff when it's better and does more things? It's a straight up improvement.
Well, the game just came out for Early Access. So it looks like we'll be getting that playthrough sometime soon.
this is unironically the most excited I have been for a game in a long time
Watching this just pisses me off because of how good the game actually is
America is real
Yes. Apparently these trailers confirm what America is. lol
Amurica?
MERICA🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🍔🍔YAAA
This vid aged like milk
? In what way-
@@yeetneet5334cause palworld devs made him eat his own words. This game slaps
I've never heard of your channel before but your reaction to this was absolutely hilarious and i will be here to watch you play it 😂
On the first trailer reaction I was like "Yeah I can see the comparison but it's just fantastic creatures with similar motifs, they don't look that similar" until the last shot
Where they had to use the most similar creatures to Lucario and Zoroark/Reshiram they could find
to be fair lucario is modeled after Anubis which is a common creature to make monster after
At least like half of them aren’t a obvious copy.
Your "Future Salamance" looks a lot like mega Latios and Latias
Developer: how do we make the game different?
Another Developer: we put guns.
Years later....
Sees gameplay footage: “I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT THE GAME IS GONNA LOOK LIKE!!!!!!!”
I had already seen every trailers but Purplecliffe’s reactions are just priceless. 😂
I've actually been waiting for this to come out just to enjoy the chaos that is Pokemon Gun!
“The People at Pocket Pair put their pupils on Pokémon!”, -Meowth, 2023
This game might actually be awsome and I'm excited to see how this will turn out. ^^
It’s a Pokémon flavored ark
I’ll be honest here I am very hyped for this game, I first heard about it in 2022 and it was supposed to release in 2023, but got delayed till January 2024, i’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again, I am very hyped for this game.
Palworld is a Monster Taming Game the game is in a genre called Monster Taming.
Gym Leader Ed who I highly recommend has so many videos debunking claims against "Pokemon Clones".
I remember that video that you made. It aged really well.
I wish this game came out before we had a lot of options for games, so some kids would just have memories of this insane game. Heck, there might even be speedruns/challenge runs of this game. But now since we can just go play anything else, it's probably gonna die real quick. Strangely sad.
Game is coming in 4 days🎉😊
Excited for it to come out next friday. I watched 48 minutes of gameplay today that gym leader ed reacted to for the paldecks and the game just does genuinely look like this, all of that is gameplay. I dont care if some of the monster inspiration is similar, it just looks like fun to me.
I love the cheerful music in the trailer when all you see is death and destruction.
What I can respect is their tenacity and continuously working on it. That’s about it
And that it looks like an extremely fun game with actually refreshing new ideas on the genre and it looks extremely fun compared to main series pokemon which has been absolutely terrible for at least a decade.
@@derpderpin1568 It's out and it's more fun than any Pokemon game in the last decade and it's not even close lmao
I’ve been waiting for the sequel to his reaction of Palworld. Thank you.
At 3:41 you pretty much nailed the idea of this game. It's just some random bullshit all at once that reminds you of Pokemon that actually do make sense.
Monster taming games will never again be considered there own thing, stuck in Pokémon’s shadow.
Wannabet he would call Dragon Quest monsters a pokemon clone when it released before red and Green, He already called SMT a pokemon clone with demons despite it being an 87 game.
Pokemon Fans don't do research and disrespecting a Genre that happens to be a good one to.🙄
Whatever these developers are on I want some, I can't even be mad at this point
Your video is the first autoplay after the release trailer, so now I DEFINITELY need to see your reaction to it!
I need to see Purplecliffe , Manjtv and PM7 to play this together.
2:38
ngl that Egyptian lucario thing looks like the dream pokemon matpat make for markiplier
5:36 time stamping a random point and hoping it’s funny
Better than any pokemon game that has come out in the last 12 years
The title is accurate in that it is really bad at being a Pokémon knockoff, because it's not intended to be one. It's its own game that dares to do everything Pokémon would never do. It's like if Pokémon was serious. It's more hardcore than the Pocket Monsters manga.
I hope they reach out to you maybe you can get it even earlier i feel your the perfect person to test this game
I'm actually so excited for this game🤣 it looks like such a pipedream
I'm not gonna lie... this actually looks pretty cool! I might try it when it comes out
It's funny to see him spotting creatures that somewhat resemble a real Pokemon & repeatedly say "that looks like a Pkmn."
The cobalion actually looked awesome 😅
Adult Pokemon simps are weird
Do you think Plurplcliff will ever release that one reaction video he had of this game’s first trailer with that other guy in it?
i have never heard of palworld until i saw it randomly on steam, and i have never laughed with such pure joy at a trailer, and i too will be playing this game the second it comes out
Just one question. Why does this game look better than the newer pokemon games them selfs? This should not be but it is and now I'm genuanly interestet in the game.
PAL WORLD IS REEEEEAAAAAALL🎉
“Worst game on the planet”
Let’s hope he kept ET in mind while saying that
if craftopia is anything to go by
Palworld is going to be a trainwreck full of clashing unfinnished ideas,
but im here for it . Its going to be a fun mess,
Looking forward to Purplecliffe inevitably playing this next year
purplecliffe you are there best poketuber🥳🥳
this video's gonna age so poorly lmao
He juste change the title from "The Worst Pokémon Knockoff is actually coming out...." to "The STRANGEST Pokémon Knockoff is actually coming out...." just because it's a good game
I was waiting for this since 2 years ago when you made the trailer video reaction
Cope about it lmao, I am fully invested in this game, it looks fantastic
This man is just a hater on every level
Thiss isn't a pokemon knockoff :l
It is, but it's a good one
I do t feel like this is a Pokémon ripoff, it’s very unique and fits its own in the monster taming genre
This thing has been in my Steam wish list since the first trailer. I really hope it is as fun as it looks. Even if there is no actual story, I will be happy just collecting not pokemon and blowing shit up.
This feels like Pokemon Legends Arceus meets ARK...
And I am WAY to okay with that. 😂
OMG FORTNITE RIP OFF 8:01
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT SAW THAT XD
