Bro I grew up watching Marilland! He's seriously a legend in the Pokemon community. He was one of the headliners in the Nuzlocke community and even made a subset of Nuzlockes called Wonderlocke. Surprisingly not that many people have heard of him. Great CZcamsr who definitely deserves more recognition!
The DLC made swsh really good, specifically the crowned tundra dlc, but it wasn't worth the price. The crowned tundra had a really simple sweet story that felt silly at times and cute at others, and the dynamax lair is still very fun.
I just remember when peony got possessed by calyrex , I was so confused 😂

I’m honestly surprised to see how few people have played or even know about the Pokepark games. I loved those as a kid and I honestly still think they’re good. I hope more people play it and maybe even a new one coming out would be cool. But I doubt that would ever happen.
I played the first one on Wii U since they released it on the Eshop. Unfortunately they never put the second game so I have yet to play it.

Pokemon Conquest was one of my favourite games as a kid, it's a strategic game and there is a bit of grinding to do of course but I still had fun. Would recommend it if u r into strategy games
Puzzle League and Rangers are so dang good. I would love to see Pokemon pick them up again. And yes to Legends Arceus getting such a high rank! The battle system is a bit weird, but being able to chuck pokeballs at the back of a Pokemons head is just too dang good!

How was Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Snap/New Snap not on their? Otherwise I respect your decisions, but I did find Sword to be quite fun, mostly just running around in the wilderness and catching all the things.😃

I'd put Gates to Infinity in A. It was still a good game with a good story but it definitely had a lot of problems.
@@wintersong2266 Gates to Infinity's only real problem was the gameplay. You couldn't go on multiple requests/missions at once, the personality quiz was gone, there were too few starters to choose from, and the text speed was ridiculously slow (same can be said for the whole game, really).
Still, in my opinion, the story, themes and characters make up for all of that. It's still my favorite Mystery Dungeon game to this day.
@@theunpopularopinion9833 There's also the fact that the camera is really zoomed in, in dungeons. Which make the game feel kind of claustrophobic at times. Also the themes of the story was good but I feel like there were too many Pokémon complaining about Pokémon turning bad and not enough actual bad Pokémon in the story to show how bad thing got. Like you had the carpenters trying to scam you at the beginning and then the two guys trying to rob Dunsparce. And that was kind of it. There was Mushurna and her group after that but they were supposed to exist as a result of the cruel world around them. Which fall kind of flat when apart from them all you've seen are a few con artists that were easy to deal with. Gengar and Team Skull from Rescue Team and Explorers were honestly more cruel than anyone in Gates to Infinity and that wasn't even the theme of those games.
@@wintersong2266 All good points, though the way the Gurdurr and Pawniard plot-lines were executed well enough for me despite the heavy exposition.
You're definitely right on Gengar and the 'other' Team Skull being more cruel and conniving, but it got to the point of being too mean-spirited for my taste (well mainly with Team Skull. Gengar at least got some development down the line).
You should definitely play Pokemon Conquest at least once. It's such an experience that you just sit there confused and get to be a samurai 🤣

Big Rumble fan here! Started with Blast (aka Super in my version (Still working on dex completion)), didn't get Rumble U, loved Rush when it was around (RIP), went back and emulated the original last year. It was definitely one of those to play in short bursts. Simple story, well executed universe (Literally just a toyshop, but they played with the elements that made it up quite well I think). (Some of) the music slaps, especially Autumnwood, Factory and especially Blast's main theme. Highly underrated, never talked about (probably for a good reason) but a great part of my childhood!

Rumble is so underrated ! One of the few Pokémon games that you could pay with up to 4 people together what a blast!

I can agree with most of this tier list. The only differences is that more games would be in the "I haven't played" their, and that I would put most games up there for different reasons.
(Also when is next mystery dungeon? I loved playing the games for both it's gameplay, story, and concept where you are turned into a pokemon.)

He mentioned he stopped playing new mystery dungeons after experiencing “that [one]” and Gates to Infinity released before Super Mystery Dungeon. Granted I still need to play Super Mystery Dungeon myself so I can’t personally speak to its quality but I vividly remember Gates to Infinity being the one that I and many others were really disappointed by, whereas I’ve only ever heard good things about Super Mystery Dungeon

@@MoeRenai In Super Mystery Dungeon you spend almost half of the main game at a school before joining the main guild and that turned off a lot of people. Personally I never minded it. Sure it take a while before the story pick up properly. But I think dealing with the small childish drama of schoolchildren before dealing with the world ending threat was a nice change of pace for the series.
@@hibikuokudan The only advice I can give you is use your items and collect emeras as much as you can. In Super the game does not give you a lot of exp like the other games so you can't just rely on level up to brute force the game. When stuck with hard enemies you should use your wands and wonder orbs. Emeras are also important as they give nice perks when you equip them on your looplet. And even when your looplet is full you can still use emeras and boost your stats until the end of the dungeon.
Once you join the proper guild you will also be able to exchange gold bars for permanent stat boosting items. I heavily recommend using them since as I said you can't rely on leveling up too much in this game to get stronger.

I knew there would be some games he would have missed (maybe intentionally) and that I would instinctively know he would have, but that I wouldn't remember either.
But I'm ashamed at myself because it's Pokepark. Because I'm with you on that one, it may have been for toddlers, but I sure did complete both (even with the codes)

Ive never actually 100 % agreed with a tier list. Im having a moment this is awesome!
Firstly, I'm so glad to see someone acknowledge how fun Gen 9 is. I started with Blue version in the 90's, and pretty much the only major change I would make is moving Red and Blue down to B tier. Nothing before the physical/special split should be above A tier, and sword and shield also go to A tier. Lastly, Platinum goes to A+ for me. Just an opinion, though
The fact that B2/W2 was below BW and RB and wasn’t in S tier is criminal. Especially since B2/W2 is literally an upgrade of BW which makes no sense to put it below. Other than that and ranking RB, GS, and RS too high it was a solid tier list however.
I got Pokemon platinum at a garage sale when I was 7 and that's what introduced me to Pokémon. I still have the original save with over 400 hours on it.

Auto subscribed when you talked about Platinum. Not only was that my first Pokémon game, that was the first video game I ever played. I remember putting over 200 hours into my first play through, and having so much fun with that game. I lost the cartridge ages ago, but I’ll get another one one day

I have about 5000 hours in Pokken Tournament. I can confirm with absolute confidence, you should play the game. The final boss is actually insanely hard, and I still have issues with it even after all this time. And fighting other players is, in my opinion, even more fun than Street Fighters and Dragon Ball Fighterz because of the changes between Duel and Field Phases and the mechanics of moves between those two phases. The voice acting is... subpar to say the least (Garchomp), but the game rocks. Would 100% recommend to more people, we need our playerbase back

We didn’t really have the money for gaming consoles but as things started to get better financially with a lot of hard work from my parents and help from family members for my birthday my mom get me a Nintendo 3ds and Pokémon moon and it was the first Pokémon game I’ve ever played and I loved it, I really loved Pokémon at the time and just sitting down on my bed knowing that everything from now on is going to be ok while playing that game made me really happy. I can agree that out of all the Pokémon games that it wasn’t the best but it does mean a lot to me sentimentally which is why I was so happy that Jack placed it in A tier
I think Sun and Moon were one of the best game on a first playthrought. But it is one of the weakest entry when it come to replayability due to the constant hand holding, especially on the first island.
Ok I agree with the ultra games in A they didn’t change much but it got ALOT more difficult it’s one of the hardest games in the franchise tbh.
I would love to see you play the Pokepark games, I played that game so much and it was so much fun but I never see any videos about it

Sword and Shield are games that I try very very hard to like. As Jack mentioned before, the new Pokémon are great, but beyond that there’re a lot of interesting ideas that I think could be really cool; focusing on battles as a national sport, a rival that explicitly grapples with their bad losing streak, a lighthearted himbo showman for a champion, etc. They unfortunately just didn’t get the time they needed to fully mature.
I personally put them in a “fan-game enhancement candidate” tier. They’re not amazing on their own, but with a few important ingredients on a simple fan engine (a tweaked overall plot, a bigger more detailed world map) they could be the foundation/inspiration for something really compelling.
Just gonna take a moment here and agree with the editor with freaking out about “THE GREEN SCREEN RIGHT BEHIND IT”

It’s funny how we had such similar experiences with Pokémon games! I played ruby on my game boy advance ALL the time when I was 8 and loved it so much. And Pokémon mystery dungeon blue? I also played it on the bus every time I went home! Those games were soooo fun. I love Pokémon red too, I have such fond memories of that game. I remembered Pokémon trozei being fun, but mostly it’s just eh. I now play Pokémon Arceus a LOT, even if people consider it a dead game lol. I also love the mystery dungeon switch remake, but man it takes a lot of strategizing that I just don’t have the mental energy for right now. I am definitely thinking about trying out the gen 4 and 5 older games now! Mostly because Pokémon go familiarized me enough with those generations to feel confident/comfortable with them now lol
pokémon channel was also definitely a game! and the europe/australian version lets you transfer jirachi to your ruby/sapphire (but not emerald) game. other than that, uh... well, i'm sure you could C how much fun it is
