Not always, unfortunately. In this case, I admit her interpretation is lovely and inspired.

It's both admirable and moving that a contestant has opted to perform another's song from the competition. Let some people who call themselves "fans" take their cue from this instead of being a nuisance by engaging in needless, petty criticism against artists and their hard work!

Voyager did a few covers of fellow artists if I remember well (their cover of Adam Lambrou is in the 2023 playlist) and some other contestants did Eurovision songs of other years. Last year one did Amar Pelos Dois. And this year Slimane is covering Voilà! Looking forward to that! 🧡

I ktoś mi powie, że nie umie śpiewać. Może to nie Celine Dion, ale już w Barcelonie było wiadomo, że potrafi zaśpiewać The Tower, a w Londynie serio była chora. Nie bronię zaciekle jako fan, lecz po prostu logicznie analizuję fakty.
W studiu z każdego można zrobić wokalistę. Ważne, żeby na żywo brzmiało podobnie. Wtedy jest się dobrym wokalistą.
The Tower nie jest w jej tonacji, doly za niskie i dlatego to tak wyglada.

Alright, no problem, it can remain a secret & I see, anywhere here is safe and as a city, Ljubljana is the most interesting and alive city. And as always, big cities and capital cities are more dangerous than small and not that important ones. Makes sense, right. But still it's not a rule and in Slovenia is overall very safe so you shouldn't be worrying. And about nature, well you won't see it in Ljubljana. 😄

In a way she's promoting a France's win...on the other she's challenging Slimane - in certain parts I prefer her version to the original (ooops).

That's what intrigues me...must be the female tone - of course Slimane has a very powerful voice but we are somehow "tuned" to like certain voices more than others - she sounds fantastic (this much better than The Tower) - in a way I redescovered Mon Amour thanks to her performance.
@@stefanogortaldi3156 I just thought that if I were French and heard her singing a French Eurovision entry cover somewhere on the Internet, and in French, I would probably connect with her better and would be more inclined to support her. Even if it’s The Tower that is in the actual competition.
@@stefanogortaldi3156 And about the two songs, I actually prefer The Tower to the other one for this particular contest, because for me Eurovision is fun, I want something upbeat and uplifting, while the other song, although quite beautiful, is a bit too dramatic for me. But that’s just me.
@@Ally-xw5sm There's plenty of upbeat songs this year...in my view The Tower like Olly's Dizzy lack the extra hump to stand out (both in the top 20 of my list).
The Tower doesn't show the best from Luna...just like Nutsa (Georgia) is another great singer with a "not so good" song.
