  • This sermon from Pastor John MacArthur is about the righteousness of God. Macarthur talks about the law, grace, works, and righteousness altogether pertaining to us and God. I'll be giving my 2 cents on this sermon at the end to help you guys see the whole picture of the gospel according to the Bible.

The kind of righteousness that seems to be eternal is in faith that choose to obey and follow Gods instructions. It is a personal one, and not man to speak or search his own opinions and to lean unto his own understanding. Pastor John it is the righteousness of God, that I am instructed that it is a faith, that can be down apart from legalism but you get two for one, the subjectiveness of living in the law, and the objective that the law is about being perfecting in Gods way perfected.

Dear Brother, This sermon by John MacArthur is 100% accurate. This is what Scripture teaches plainly, simple and clear. Your explanation is seriously off the mark. While grace is fully undeserved favour all from God, a true Christian must bear the fruits in keeping with true repentance and faith. The Gospel is clear, God sent God to save us from God. The thief on the cross that Jesus saved shows us the bear minimum that is required to be saved. May God help you see His truth plainly.

I agree with what you said. I think that it’s very easy to be led astray by a few of the popular preachers of this day and age. On the one hand you have people who think they are saved just because they go to church every Sunday regardless of their actions Mon-Sat. Now I’m seeing this other extreme where it doesn’t matter what you do, it will not be good enough but as long as you believe in Christ. I think you’re exactly right in saying that through actually repenting and believing in Christ our good works will entail that. It’s the fruit of our faith. It’s so easy to get so caught up in theology and doctrines that one could completely miss the actual good news of the Gospel. Thank you for making this video

I think your conclusion presents a false dichotomy. You lose sight of very pertinent text such as 1 Cor 1:26-31
26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

What bible are you reading? You have no idea what you are saying. Everything you said is wrong. It's sad you're on a public platform making such wrong statements. Read the book of Galatians .you are saying everything opposite of what the Bible says.
