The town lies in the valley of Savinja river at the point where four rivers meet: Savinja, Hudinja, Ložnica, and Voglajna. The history of Celje dates as far back as Bronze Age, Celts and Romans, however the most famous historic landmark is the medieval Old Celje Castle - the seat of the famous Counts of Celje. We watched your video and loved it. My husband and I met in Canada where we now live. He is from Celje and throughout the whole video was telling me about his childhood and the places he used to go to. Reminiscing about swimming in the Savinjia River etc. We visited years ago and realized how close my area in Zumberak, Croatia is to Celje. Beautiful Countries both and part of our hearts will always be there! Thank You so Much!❤
