Ferrari Odometer Scandal!

- Drama is afoot in the world of Ferrari thanks to an American lawsuit against Ferrari of Palm Beach, brought forth by Robert “Bud” Root, a former/current salesman at the dealership. That doesn’t sound too juicy until you get to the part where Root alleges the dealership engaged in odometer fraud, a practice that’s obviously highly illegal. And because the diagnostic tool said to allow the roll back must connect to Ferrari’s central system for authorisation, the suit claims the manufacturer is guilty by association.
Of course, it’s not quite as simple as all that. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
They stopped as much as we stopped, making pizza in Italy 🇮🇹🤌🤌🤌🤌🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Lol that's a great analogy and i totally support it. Ferrari is simply trying to save face and telling everyone what they want to hear. However, behind close doors, it's business as usual.
Here's another reason why Jay Leno will not buy a Ferrari.
No point winding back old Toyota's, it's a badge of honor. No matter the mileage it's still good for another couple hundred thousand. Nothing is more luxurious than that when you think about it.
My grandparents love roadtripping there prius, it has just under 800k kms now, pretty incredible
Ain't no way a Ferrari lasting a couple hundred thousand miles
MY MAN❤❤❤❤❤
@MR_stone69 just a couple thousand 😂😂😂😂😂
Shameful for such an esteemed company to stoop so low 🤔
Now that's a shady company. Probably the most hated one as well.
Like VW and Porsche taking part in the dieselgate scandal!
Can't afford one so I'm not worried, buyer beware!!!
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Lol. My cousins boyfriend had a device that did that 12 or more years ago. He told me dealerships were the biggest customers of having the odometers rolled back
It's a smug. Company that makes shitty cars that just break down, never buying one
The most valuable, recognizable brand in the world.
I think this case was never concluded, it may still be ongoing if not dismissed...
They will stop the day TOYOTA stop being the No. 1 Best reliable car
Didn’t even know this, and it’s grossly disappointing if it is all true
it is true, google ferrari odometer fraud
@@MSAutoSnap 👍🏼. sickening
Honestly might as well just get a Lamborghini
Might as well get a VW
Or a Pagani
Nahh modern lambos are juvenile af
2009 Corvette ZR1. BIG speed, little $$.
Or a McLaren
Is that why second hand they are so expensive to keep on the road any car manufacturer doing this should be facing criminal charges clocking cars is a disgrace.
Enzo was a proudy fellow and so do his legacy as it continues to be. I will never buy Ferrari, just rent it for a week like a hore.
Ferrari committing odometer discrepancies 💀
yep
This sounds stretched af. You can modify ECU odometer on any car with a OBD interface as long as you have the necessary software / scanner device. The make of the car doesn't matter, every manufacturer has something like that.
They didn’t stop. They just made it more elite feature.
They got caught cheating. Thats the only reason they SUPPOSEDLY stopped.
Ferrari is out old thinking old old old
Ferrari sucks for so many reasons...👎
Ma va a cagher semo
@@lucamaini4492😂😂😂😂
Every couple of years you should bring this story
Sure not......
This youtuber is very happy and he will never euthanize himself
Fun fact: 2/3 of all used cars sold in germany dont have the real milage on them
Ferrari has been my dream car since i was a kid...starting with the 288 GTO. Have looked at some Modenas and F430s but after watching this, no way. I had no clue about these lawsuits. Thank you for putting this info out there.
Ferrari is filing a lawsuit right now against this CZcams short… 🤪😜
XD
Rolling back mileage on Ferrari? As if there's any of those actually driving around to increase the mileage, they're either rotting in a garage or are not reliable to drive for long before they sell them. 😂
Ferrari trading on past success
Ferrari is the nintendo of automobiles
The story goes that if you book wn appoinent at the factory in modena and are 15 minutes late, they wont even let you in the gate. If you give money to a company like that, you need your head examined.
Ferrari.... Nope.. If I ever had money to buy that expensive of a car, Id definitely get something much better.. And from a company who wont sue their customers.. Wtf
''We just wanted to roll back the factory and highway miles'' ...
Hell to the no
Imagine you buy a car for a few hundret thousand dollars and are not allowed to modify it.
That's why, even if I had the money, I'd never buy a Ferrari.
You are apparently allowed to modify the odometer.
@@tekha1977 Only because it makes Ferrari more money.
@@dezpotizmOFheaven Well if Ferrari can do it I’m sure their must be at least one guy some where out there who is also able to set back the odometer on a Ferrari.
@@tekha1977 Sure but here it is specifically mentioned that Ferrari dealerships have done it in excange for a payment.
When you buy one you specifically sign and declare you’ll leave the car as it is from the dealership. You know what you gotta do and don’t, because they are meant to be as they are built, they are masterpieces of technology and performance.
just use the old DEIS version and you can roll back all you want
Wow so illegal
I'll stick with my little Dodge Darts, hell Chrysler never minded how many mods we put on our Plymouths and Jeeps
They probably haven't stopped they may make the clients aogn a form saying not release the info or they might sue
Qui in Italia, Ferrari, non fa queste cose... o meglio... AMMIOCUGGINO... Me la riprogramma a meno 🤣👏👏👏🔝⚠️
Doesn't matter cuz i can't buy one 😅
Oh cheaters!
Need to get a pre-ECU Ferrari with a mechanical odometer as those would be harder to roll back
I bet you they aren't harder to roll back.
Probably not. But harder to roll back than the digital ones. And requires disassembly of the vehicle to access that part. Also, an old/older Ferrari has more chance (due to its age) to have more documentation (in paper form) that could be used to show instances of odometer roll back.
You have a new notification from Enzo Anselmo Giuseppe Maria
mi scuzi
Lamboooooo
LMAO they're even worse junk... volkswagen vs fiat 🙄
Aren't Ferraris and Lambo all made in Germany now - they may as well be. All the more reason not to buy them.
@@lancepage1914 no, they're still in their hometowns, Modena and Sant'Agata, just owned by giant conglomerates Stellantis and VW. My late Dad had a REAL Ferrari (1972 365 GTC/4), you can understand how I feel about new ones . I learned to drive in it age 14 and I'll never forgive my Mom for dumping it when he passed ... to keep my hands off it 😢. I got revenge tho, LMK if you're curious
@@lancepage1914nope, Italy
A car being owned by a famous person ADDS VALUE. If Neil Armstrongs corvette went on sale it be worth more than a corvette owned by a no name. THATS JUST FACT, don’t like it tough shit. They can say this car was owned by x and thus is y due to x. THATS FAIR GAME. Don’t like it tough.
Im pretty sure you haven't watch the video...
Mom had a good friend who bought the Mad Max corvette from Tim Allen. I agree by anecdotal evidence
It doesn’t say famous people were doing it…
Bro watch the video with your eyes not your ass.
And that's why ferrari is shit car.
