NOOooo! This gets me really worried. An Ocarina of Time remake would be the perfect Zelda opener for Switch 2, or almost anything else Zelda (except HyruleWarr). Botw and Totk are so over exposed by now. Botw is amazing, but it's too soon unless they do some pretty substantial add on content like a "play as Zelda" side thing as you mentioned. Maybe they're trying to create some sort of Mario Kart 8 situation again...

I tried to play Wind Waker again, but I can't get used to the c-stick being backwards; this game would really benefit from getting some modern upgrades.
I'd love to see Twilight Princess come to switch as well though so that we can access all the 3D Zelda games on one console. Then if Switch 2 is backwards compatible *chef's kiss*, everything I could ask for from Nintendo (well besides some more older Zelda remakes).

Ain’t no way I’m spending $60 just for 4K BOTW. If anything, I’d spend $10 to get the upgrade and if they included a little extra DLC with that, but that’s it. The base game looks great already on the Switch as it is. I really hope they don’t do any of that and give us an HD version of A Link Between Worlds. So many people, myself included, have never had the chance to play that but absolutely adore LTTP. The Oracle games would be great too. Aaand, give us a Switch 2 version of the old Metroid games while we at it. All of the Metroid games, actually!

I think they're gonna have backwards compatibility and will release some kind of deluxe pack with two graphically upgraded games on the same cartridge but it would be like for "collector's edition" or just will cost 100$

Frankly I'd be pissed off if they wasted release slots on switch games instead bringing games that aren't already on the platform.
If Nintendo were to release BOTW in 4K with all the DLC content and additional content like post Calamity Ganon gameplay (rebuilding Hyrule Castle, Castle Town Akkala Citadel) etc. then I would be all on board. I'd pay $60 for that even though I already have BOTW without the DLCs.
I am hopeful that Nintendo will take after Xbox and use something like smart delivery

I think they need to get the frame rate up to 60 for every game, I personally think that would make them look and feel way better. Maybe through dlss 3 frame generation they could make that happen? 4k is not expected for me but would just be icing on the cake

Considering how often she needs to be rescued or freed from some kind of spell, A game with Zelda as the protagonist would be BOORING AF. Seriously. Spin-off the Zelda franchise with a game revolving around the Zoras. Sidon and Mipha are both awesome and deserve their own adventures.

I don't think that i would buy a new BOW unless it has a kind of upgrade path that seems like a good way to compromise for me
The upgrades are going to be a part of the online subscription, with new games being upgraded every direct
Not sure if playing through Zelda's story in BOTW is gonna happen. In my opinion, she really didn't do that much in that game's storyline to warrant playing through it. She basically failed to unlock her sealing power in time, returned the Master Sword to the Korok Forest, and then sealed herself and Calamity Ganon in the castle for a century. Then she gave Link the Bow of Light, weakened Dark Beast Ganon to give Link something to shoot, and then destroyed Dark Beast Ganon.
Her story in TOTK, on the other hand, that's something we could play through. She did participate in the Imprisoning War, after all and was possibly involved in rebuilding Hyrule afterward. I'd buy an HD TOTK if it includes that and/or the ability to max out both hearts and stamina
I think an upgrade path is best imo. I want the Zelda team to focus on a new next gen Zelda title.
I’ll buy it no matter what but man if they’d just add sky islands, master mode and enhanced armor trims to TOTK I’d be in heaven. Imagine if they also added the master cycle and the blue one from Mario kart but we can build it and even use its parts like the rest of the build devices. Would be so fun to use those motorcycle parts in our own builds and have the cycle since it functions so much better than cycles we make in TOTK
The building automobile mechanics were my most favorite aspect of the game! I hope we'll get over a dozen new parts to build even cooler and more detailed war machines!!
Tears of the kingdom needs a deluxe addition with additional content with more enemies and biomes in the depths and sky, more legendary weapons to find, a hyrule restoration mission etc., Breath of the they could just add the minish cause they were originally supposed to be in it
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom has unlimited potential, I legit would love to have TotK 2 to tie up all of the plot holes, missing characters & the unfinished story arks. There is just so much to cover here so I will just say that we still need DLC for Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo hit the jackpot with all this, and it would be a shame NOT to complete the game with everything that is absent in the current TotK in the form of a direct sequel. I know this will all be going on the rumored Switch 2 console if Nintendo decide to change their minds in the near future.

Not particular too happy that we gonna get a remake on the next Nintendo System, I'm a bit disappointed we may not get a zelda game as one of the launch titles, I'm hoping this will not be a repeated mistake with the Wii U.

II can only see an upgraded BOTW game making sense as a new system demo for developers. I reckon Nintendo has already been working on a new Zelda. That might be why we didn’t get TOTK DLC. I would prefer a new Hyrule Warriors game (in the meantime) instead of BOTW for the third time..
It's so awesome to be The Legend of Zelda fan in 2024 when there might be coming new Zelda games and The Legend of Zelda Live Action movie is coming in next year 2025, Zelda is life! 😊❤

If they release a enhanced port of Zelda BOTW, one feature I would like is higher frames like 60 fps. I tried playing it in its current state and the frame rate just made me nauseated and gave me headaches. I would really like to play this as well as ToTK 🤞🏻.

Even if an improven version of BotW came to the Switch 2, I wouldn´t play it. I´ve played BotW twice and and I recently got the Master Sword and killed the fake Zelda in TotK and after that I just lost interest in BotW and TotK and I´m ready to move on to another Hyrule or lands beyond Hyrule

I would try upgraded BOTW for $10 upgrade. But never pay full price for a game i already own. That goes for Twilight Princess too.
I think everyone is way over hyping the Switch follow up. Yes, it’s going to be a massive step up from the first Switch, but it’s definitely not going to be anything like what people are saying. I highly doubt that it is going to be 4K or have 256 GB internal storage like people are saying.
I dont think it will happen, but if nintendo manage to fuse ( no pun intended) Botw with TotK, having you play through both as if it was a single game and being able to keep more of your assets from the previous game ( and of course adding a master mode and maybe some additional story fillers that explain some of the 7 year period between the games, like what happened with the sheikah tech).
THAT to me would be an amazing accomplishment. but again, dont think that will happen.

I couldn't care less about a TLoZ game with Zelda as main protagonist. I mean.....why? having her as a companion to solve puzzles and create a great story? of course! having her playable as say for instance Sheik and a certain sheikah shadow wars DLC? definitely!!
but an entire game as just Zelda? nah man definitely not waiting for that, especially since fans really want to see something of the old formula being perfected in the new style. but that's just opinion of course

I dont think there will be a Zelda game with Zelda as a protagonist because Nintendo is dead set on having a voice-less "Link" to the world for the player to engage with it through. They at least would never make a mainline zelda game with zelda as a protagonist.
I don’t think we’re going to get a 4K version of these games. I don’t think Nintendo system will be doing 4K so people need to temper their expectations but I do believe we will get enhanced sports of breath of the wild for the new generation of switch and I can definitely see Nintendo, do the Sony in they charge $10 for the upgrade if you already have the physical version of breath of the wild for the current switch?.

Though I wouldn't mind paying full price for a physical copy if it had the whole trilogy plus dlc (Age of Calamity, BotW and TotK) all on one cart but I'm not going to hold my breath for that. I would then gift my OG copies to my niece and nephew.

Pretty much confirmed to have backwards compatibility.
Its a successor to the switch, and its still using NVIDIA architecture, so would be really easy to have backwards compatibility.

I would only buy TOTK in Switch 2 if they fixed the money making in the game and actually had a way to make money.

The ideal scenario for me is that TOTK gets a 4K 60fps re-release along with brand new DLC content not seen on the original release. Cuz honestly I think you’d need to include that to justify a full price re-release less than 5 years after the initial launch.

I would consider it if it was cheaper and actually did add value, but it still seems a bit early. Breath of the wild is 7 years old, but since tears of the kingdom was a direct sequel it kind of diminishes the worth of a remaster/re-release at this time.

Seems like it but remember this game launched with the Switch 1. So for many people they haven’t played it for years. I could see a lot of people buying a 4K version of BOTW. Myself included.

With all the specs that have been leaked, there will be 0% chance it is running native 4K 60Hz.
It would be difficult for it to upscale up to 4K as well while running at 60fps.
Ill take any improvement though. 1080p 60hz is good enough for me.
1440p 60hz is preferable. Still dont see that being the case either, but we can only hope.
Who said native? I’m fully expecting dlss upscaling to be used here. Also, you have to keep in mind that botw is a Wii U game originally. I don’t think it’s as hard of a game to run at 4k 60fps via upscaling as you’re thinking. Especially considering we’re not talking about pc gaming. This will be a game that can be fully optimized for just one platform that will be significantly stronger than Switch.
@@SunbroNation I could understand if the chipset had DLSS 3.0 with frame generation, but all the information about the chipset out there points to it not having it.
And in order to get a crisp 4K image via DLSS it would have to run natively at 1440p, which I think is still too much.
If they ran it in performance mode, it would run natively at 1080p and the output would be 4K. it would look better than 1080p, however I would be afraid to see some artifacts left over.
I do agree that Nintendo does have a few wizards who work magic with the architecture they are given. I just know it wont be able to do things that the current gen Xbox and PS5 cannot even do, seeing as that most of the games they have can barely run at an upscaled 4K 60fps.

I own three switches (launch, OLED, TotK OLED), am a huge supporter of Nintendo and even NVIDIA with the way they advance technology.
I will definitely be picking this up on day 1.

MAYBE being able to fly as a dragon would be cool as a scenery kind of thing. I'd enjoy that. I'm not playing those overrated games again. BOTW was empty and TOTK was such a damn chore. Tedious shit to do with no real reward in the end. The Korok Seeds were absurd. You collect 900 seeds in BOTW just to get a golden piece of poop!? Then Nintendo has the damn nerve to do it again in TOTK adding 100 more totaling of 1,000 seeds to collect only to get once again a golden turd. At least they should of have made a glider out of it but that's what I'm talking about with no real reward. Don't get me started with the damn Lightroot bullshit. You just get a token or something after going thru that whole dark area. The medal just sits in your inventory. Couldn't give us like a new outfit or a non-breakable weapon. Those two games were a slap in the face to all hardcore Zelda fans. Those games were ambitious yes but they fell short too many times. Bring back the classic formula to a Zelda game.
