    Hell yeah, someone giving the Trustworthy trait some love, it is a hilarious way of cheesing diplomatically, especially because Tomb King campaigns tend to involve somewhat slow territorial growth, reducing Great Power-related challenges greatly.

    I have found Skeletal Labourers can be only obtained from sacking province capitals, not sure if that is just my RNG or not though. But yeah, I love the TK economy. Even without doing the demolishing and reconstruction of certain buildings, getting free settlement upgrades and infrastructure is fun. Also be sure to use Thutep of the 3rd dynasty for the -35% construction time. I pretty much just have him in an army with a nectrotect (-10% construction cost and -1 turn construction time), and 5 tomb princes. All have charnel valley necrocects and 4 have the skeletal labourers.

    Love Tomb Kings. I still have my tabletop army. Thanks for this guide. Hopefully these will still work in IE. Want to teach the Southlands who is the true king.

    This is really cool. I had completed all the Tomb Kings without knowing about these, but now it has given me a reason to play them again so I can try these out. Hopefully there is still some sweet TK cheese in immortal empires when it arrives.

    I do like Tomb Kings. They are the best Faction or my favourite but their Campaign start well, the voices are silly and the landscapes in Battles are just beautiful. They are the only Faction where I've recruited just about every unit in the Roster and I love how deciding which building you go for is so important it can take a cup of coffee and a packet of biscuits to make up my mind. They are complicated to play but the early Campaign gives you a chance and there's plenty of interesting things to do.

    the biggest thing to have in mind while playing tomb kings, specially arkhan and settra (no one cares about khalida): always, ALWAYS, have an army slot free. And, although there are special lord from dinasties, if you find a generic lord with treacherous (buffs tomb scorpions) KEEP IT AND LEVEL IT UP LIKE IT WAS SETTRA PRIMOGENIT SON, focusing on tomb scorpions. Why? From that position you will face the tide f one of the following races: skaven, dwarf or greenskins (on one campaign the imaginable happened... the ninja rat and grimgor made an allience), all of those races focus heavilly in foot units. and Tomb scorpions are the bane of those armies. one army of tomb scorpions can defeat 3 armies of foot units... Have some heroes focused for anti large single entities and BAM, the tide is countered.
    edit: the dog headed ushapti is hard to farm: cant you start a battle, put all your units in the edge of the map and give the command to retreat? therefore losing the battle without losing your units?
    Edit 2: there is a lord, from a dinasty, that gives plus income in local region doesnt it? it wouldnt be bad to make an army focused with acolyte of sokth for that reason... the only bad thing (which i hope they change in IM3) is the limited number of heroes... make the slot for them a selling thingy for canopic jars, the same as the lords

      @MercytheMad  Před 2 lety +1

      RE: 2 As I mentioned, you CAN make a income increasing stack if you want, but permanently stationing it in a province is wasting the potential of all those heroes I think.

      @@wolffrdu6463 Banners count as Items - I think you have about a 40% chance per lord, per battle to get an item drop and what item you get is random out of the whole pool. There is no way to farm banners specifically, you just need to farm tons of items until you get the banner you want.

    The rank up farms aren't going to be as easy in Immortal Empires since XP is now correlated with the size of army you're fighting/ the number of kills your Lord/heroes are getting (sack cities aren't going to be the XP farms they once were). I'd be happier if they removed these cheesable followers and just buffed the TK income in general instead. It seems silly to have to grind for RNG drops in order to get a decent economy going.

    • @MercytheMad
      @MercytheMad  Před 2 lety

      I think you can go too far in removing "cheese" and remove everything that makes the player feel like they have any agency to do anything special or powerful. I kinda feel like the various cheeses are the main thing that actually make the Tomb Kings fun....

    • @IAMTHEJUGGERNATE
      @IAMTHEJUGGERNATE Před 2 lety +1

      @@MercytheMad As long as they don't remove the carver traits, there still would be a powerful RNG farm (not to mention the jar cheese), but buffing the economy/removing some economy cheese would narrow the gap between somebody who's just playing the game, and somebody who has looked up the meta. Currently, the TK have a painful economy if you're just playing the game normally, and they are a powerhouse if you cheese. I'd rather it not be such a bad experience for players that aren't committed to sack city farming.

    • @MercytheMad
      @MercytheMad  Před 2 lety +1

      @@IAMTHEJUGGERNATE I guess I am saying removing the scheese and buffng the standard 1 dimensional economy is not the only option, they could make the "Cheesable followers" more accessible to new players and make it the standard play instead of an exploit.

    • @IAMTHEJUGGERNATE
      @IAMTHEJUGGERNATE Před 2 lety +1

      @@MercytheMad Ya that could work. Maybe give players a quest to sack certain cities and then just have the reward be guaranteed followers? Or make it so that whenever a lord or hero hits rank 15 or something like that, you get a guaranteed follower?
