There is a company I have done some work for called Big Ass Fans you need one in that garage lol most are 480 but if you have a rural king in your area they had some good deals nm on the 30 inch pedestal fans. I've never fished one before. I do know the lake pretty well.
They're fun. No pressure. $40 entry. Pretty good payouts some nights. I've won over $700 a night on a few occasions. Not a bad nights work for a couple hours. They launch out of Mansfield, but there's quite a few of us that put in at Jonestown and make the run down to check in. I'm on the north side as are you so it's the easiest option. You can ride with me one night if you want once they fire them back up again. It’s cheap entertainment.

That’s a big 11k you got yourself there man.. congrats a ton, well deserved. Love seeing high end gear from a modest, down to earth kind of guy. Sick looking reel, never personally owned a tranx. The casitas started me on my shimano road. Started with a casitas a couple years ago and loved it, next came the curado k and it pushed the casitas to the side and since those two I’ve picked up a curado and a slx dc. I just picked up the slx in a 6.3 ratio to fit my fury 7 foot mh moderate fast and I absolutely love that cranking setup. Keep it up man🙌

im sending the slx dc back i emailed shimano they said max casting weight is 1.5-2oz anything higher will break it thanks i probably wouldve destroyed my reel ordered a bft instinct x7 reel size 300 made for big baits

That assassin fc line looks good. I tried fc for the first time last year but I only used spinning reels and the line would coil off the spool bad so I took it off and went back to straight braid. Might retry fc again now that I got my first baitcaster this year and see if fc works better on a baitcaster.

Enjoying your rod and reel setups !! Thats very interesting about the backing. Im getting ready to re-string about 8 of my setups and I'm going to give it a try. One question: Do you use the same size mono backing as the same size of the line you plan to use. I also use the same brand floro as you do. Again, thanks for any input and really enjoying the input. Getting ready to order a few 6th rods too.
Doesn’t matter as long as you can tie a good connection knot. I tend to use anywhere from 12-17lb mono. Whatever I have on hand. Love that Sunline. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👊🏼
