Do the shoes help? Is Nike threatening the sports integrity, or making it more exciting? What do you think? Please leave a comment and share your thoughts about the shoes! I believe they certainly might help some athletes quite a bit, but I'm not 100% convinced they work for everyone. Have just ordered a new pair, and I will do some more tests in November!
Hi Mathias, I’ve got both and I can say that maybe they help for a 2/3%. If it was different I would already ran sub 11 and sub 22 but it’s still not the case😂😂😂😂
Enjoy your fast running. But the warm-up is insane. It is a whole workout for me, but it is what keeps you healthy for those super intense sessions. Keep up these amazing videos! And I knew it was not the shoes. Operation Oregon looking as a success in the near future!
I don't think the shoes make that much of a difference in my experience. As long as they are not banned it does not really matter to me. Amazing training session and great times :) See you in the under 10.2s club soon I guess haha
yeah this comment solidifies it. my meet spikes will defo be the maxfly but practice would be superflys. im ppretty suprised how many people said how fragile it is
I had maxflys, literally 5 sessions in and the bottom on the right shoe got punctured. Got Nike to send me superfly elite 2’s and haven’t had an issue with them this far
I still love my adistars from the 80's, silver with orange stripes, very light weight. If only our training methods had been better, my cosch changed tactics every year! 100 got slower but got to low 36 300m. We did Allan Wells type stuff one year, lots of reps of 30 pushups/60 bi ycle crunches, early speed work. I equalled my 11.00 pb in a sleet storm first race of the year, I thought finally, in the 10's. No one told my hamstrings, we did no eccentric training, the weather had warmed up was running my best 200 ever until 'pop gies the hamstring', entire season was washed out and then came endless 600m 3/4 speed intervals, bye, bye, short speed! I did learn to get tough in 300's, and not succumb to lactic acid!!
Amazing times congrats! And thank you, that was the best review on the internet for those shoes. I found only long distance runners testing them (why????), even a guy running without spikes, my eyes were bleeding...
I had really good luck with my Air Zoom Victory’s, mine lasted over 5 months before my season ended, they’re still around too. I only used them for races and final reps of workouts/ strides though, I’m not sure how much more you’re using them in an average day
For the price you are paying, you should be getting the state-of-the art track spikes but apparently that’s not happening. That’s why I stuck to my gut and bought a pair of superfly’s once they were released instead of the maxfly’s.
Can you make a video with recommendations on what shoes and spikes you would wear or like for your training sessions? Or what you are looking for in shoes and spikes?
Man, crazy that the shoes blew out. By the way, Do you have any recommendations for shoes for sprint-heavy workouts? I know spikes are good for races and shorter workouts, but I was specifically looking for shoes that are good for Sprint sessions with higher reps/duration.
I use Nike XC Milers without the spikes, could get shorter spikes but do not need them due to design of the shoe. The Nike XC Waffle is as close as still made. This is when I was doing 200 meter or 400 meter sprints before I wore for racing fast times in distance running the racing shoes like the Asics Gel DS Racer that is now Gel DS Trainer at the same weight as the final Racer version or the more expensive newer versions of the ASICS Noosa Tri shoes. I would go Gel DS Trainer since they are closer to the several pairs of last/second to last model DS racers I got on deep discount like $25--$30 for the shoes due to the model line being discontinued.
my son is a sprinter in the UK and already he has gone threw 4 pairs since they came out. every pair so far the carbon plate has cracked on the left shoe. yeah OK nike has replaced each pair or refunded if there out of stock. and I'm talking only after one 200mtrs and there cracked. anyone else have this problem?
I wore tempo next% for sprint training and the airpod under the left forefoot (inside) broke after 2 months (about 15X4 150m). Nike was so kind to make a full refund
I have for a long time used a Panasonic DMC-FZ300, then a Dji osmo pocket. I still use those and did for most of this video. After starting to study mulitmedia production I've also used a Fujifilm X-T4.
Hi your very fast is it a bit tricky to time yourself with the stopwatch while having such a explosive start and fast speed I guess it's somewhat accurate it give you an idea how how fast you are. I'm gona start to do this cause I dont always have something to time me thanks a lot and keep up the great work!
So expensive shoe and the quality is not good Nike should give a coupon for 50% off any shoe if this happened or a 1-1 exchange? I'm using a Puma Evospeed 10 and loving it so far About 6-8 sessions and so far so good
I love Nike and the cool tech however their qc & r&d is not as extensive as it should be especially for what they charge when it comes to their products. The consumer should get quality products with a longer real world use time. #MoveToZero right?
You won't get those tips from Mathias. As far as I know, he's always lived and trained in Norway. We don't have athletic scholarships here. Ask an American athlete or coach about that.

I think the Nike long distance spikes makes a bigger difference than in Sprinting
I blew out the air bubble in my Maxfly in about 4 weeks. They are amazing shoes but very fragile, pretty much race only spikes.
yeah this comment solidifies it. my meet spikes will defo be the maxfly but practice would be superflys.
im ppretty suprised how many people said how fragile it is
@@drawsection do you think superflys would be good for meets aswell ?
@@TysenNorton yup
@@drawsectionthat's exactly what I'm thinking of doing
@@TysenNortonYea they're also a high level spike, they're pricey too
Same problem, broke the sole after like 10 sessions, and I am not as fast as the top guys (11,00 and 22,84)
Same problem. Solution from Nike? Return
You vids are so fun to watch, the competition and training 👍

Pumas baby. I sprint for fun and health, my Pumas are over year old with 3/week runs-still going strong=)
Amazing times congrats! And thank you, that was the best review on the internet for those shoes. I found only long distance runners testing them (why????), even a guy running without spikes, my eyes were bleeding...
As a long distance runner I can confirm I see many using them, but mostly for 400s/800s
Thank you very much! You saved me $200...! I enjoy your videos! Good luck in your up coming competitions!!
Great start with the third run in the Pumas, best Ive seen you do. Did it feel like that?
You definitely seem to complete your acceleration phase and get to top speed quicker in the new spikes
They definitely help but I wonder if some if not a large portion of the help is mental with you thinking you can go faster

Good choice, I had maxflys but the superflys are much more reliable. Don’t have to worry about something going wrong with your shoe during a race
Can you make a video with recommendations on what shoes and spikes you would wear or like for your training sessions? Or what you are looking for in shoes and spikes?
I was thinking of getting these spikes, the price is really high at 235 US dollars and it’s durability makes me second guess.
Me too, was thinking of breaking my box for them for coming season but after watching this vid, I might have second thoughts😭😭
Go! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I know spikes are good for races and shorter workouts, but I was specifically looking for shoes that are good for Sprint sessions with higher reps/duration.
My favorite are still the Nike Superfly R3 but they are hard to get
New balance fresh foam tempos are fantastic real great grip on the track

Very consistent run. 👍
NORWAYYYYYYYY!!!
Nah I like seeing the technology race. Makes headlines too which increases viewership.
Nike shoe 180 US dls for a handful of runs? YIKES
I laughed so hard when he said 'shoe' 🤣

Bro! What do you do between those 16 minutes of rest?
Your body can't cool down?
I sit down and relax indoors.
Might do some light drills.
@@hovejoha ı rest usually 10 between but 16 is good if you dont cool down
i left my maxflys on the track for about 20 min in the very hot sun (black track) and one of the plastic soles melted off the shoe completely
A little bit off-topic, but what camera do you use for your vlogs/photos?
