    Do the shoes help?
    Is Nike threatening the sports integrity, or making it more exciting?
    What do you think?
    Please leave a comment and share your thoughts about the shoes!
    I believe they certainly might help some athletes quite a bit, but I'm not 100% convinced they work for everyone.
    Have just ordered a new pair, and I will do some more tests in November!

      Hi Mathias, I’ve got both and I can say that maybe they help for a 2/3%. If it was different I would already ran sub 11 and sub 22 but it’s still not the case😂😂😂😂

    Enjoy your fast running. But the warm-up is insane. It is a whole workout for me, but it is what keeps you healthy for those super intense sessions. Keep up these amazing videos! And I knew it was not the shoes. Operation Oregon looking as a success in the near future!

    I don't think the shoes make that much of a difference in my experience. As long as they are not banned it does not really matter to me. Amazing training session and great times :) See you in the under 10.2s club soon I guess haha

    I still love my adistars from the 80's, silver with orange stripes, very light weight. If only our training methods had been better, my cosch changed tactics every year! 100 got slower but got to low 36 300m. We did Allan Wells type stuff one year, lots of reps of 30 pushups/60 bi ycle crunches, early speed work. I equalled my 11.00 pb in a sleet storm first race of the year, I thought finally, in the 10's. No one told my hamstrings, we did no eccentric training, the weather had warmed up was running my best 200 ever until 'pop gies the hamstring', entire season was washed out and then came endless 600m 3/4 speed intervals, bye, bye, short speed! I did learn to get tough in 300's, and not succumb to lactic acid!!

    I had really good luck with my Air Zoom Victory’s, mine lasted over 5 months before my season ended, they’re still around too. I only used them for races and final reps of workouts/ strides though, I’m not sure how much more you’re using them in an average day

  • @a1an.h34
    @a1an.h34 Před 2 lety +1

    For the price you are paying, you should be getting the state-of-the art track spikes but apparently that’s not happening. That’s why I stuck to my gut and bought a pair of superfly’s once they were released instead of the maxfly’s.

    • @LesRBCTrainingground
      @LesRBCTrainingground Před 2 lety

      Good choice, I had maxflys but the superflys are much more reliable. Don’t have to worry about something going wrong with your shoe during a race

      I use Nike XC Milers without the spikes, could get shorter spikes but do not need them due to design of the shoe. The Nike XC Waffle is as close as still made. This is when I was doing 200 meter or 400 meter sprints before I wore for racing fast times in distance running the racing shoes like the Asics Gel DS Racer that is now Gel DS Trainer at the same weight as the final Racer version or the more expensive newer versions of the ASICS Noosa Tri shoes. I would go Gel DS Trainer since they are closer to the several pairs of last/second to last model DS racers I got on deep discount like $25--$30 for the shoes due to the model line being discontinued.
