    Any man brave enough to admit he peed his pants and post a video of that admission on CZcams, automatically earns my respect. I believe they award the Yellow Cross for that particular display of courage. :)

    • @rascal0175
      @rascal0175 Před 4 lety

      Aaron Misner - What? Just about everyone in ranger school pisses in their pants. When you are in the Florida phase in the swamps day and night in water waste to neck deep, when you gotta take a leak, you take it. In cold weather you may be warm for 30 seconds. Besides that, you are so tired and miserable you could care less...

    • @MrBrandonata
      @MrBrandonata Před 4 lety +2

      It be like that. I peed my pants at airborne. They dont let you go to the bathroom and you sit there in the chute shed for hours before the planes even arrive.

    • @rascal0175
      @rascal0175 Před 4 lety +3

      brandon keierleber - That’s the thing about airborne no one tells you. You think it’s about finding the courage to jump. Then you find out it doesn’t take courage at all. They make you so miserable in that airplane with heat or cold, not being able to take a leak, and flying like they are avoiding flak, that if they would open the door at 500 feet you would jump without a parachute. As soon as you get out of your chute you stand up and piss, just like every other paratrooper that made it to the ground. And brother, that’s everybody.

    RgrSchool always helped to put life into some perspective. Ranger Perspective, Example, for me yesterday, I had just finished a 3 day mountain hike and camping, and only ate breckfast yesterday morning, We trie to finish harder in the heat, and ended up missing lunch, drank a load of water but nothing to eat, at the end of the day I arrived back at the village to catch my train back home and we quickly run into a shop to grab a snadwich. I ate the sandwich and thought to myself, "I'm still not as hungry as I was in Ranger School". and this can cover everything, still not as cold, hot, hurting, tired, etc..". That school helps to do several things. Find your character, and build your character. RLTW.

      @Aikidoman06 Před 5 lety +4

      Mike Box .ranger perspective is right. I filter everything through my ability to do without food, water, sleep, endure cold and wear wet cloths while shivering continually.

    • @rascal0175
      @rascal0175 Před 4 lety +4

      Mike Box Ranger school is a frame of reference. The army said it was intended to make you so miserable that everything you did after ranger training would seem easy, including going to war. I got my tab nearly 50 years ago, and did spend 30 years at war. The process works. Nothing was ever as hard as that school. Too bad the boys at ANTIFA have no idea what is coming there way. I’m still ready to go to war against those who would bring harm to the USA. Hell, we all are.

    I'm Irish, now aged 31 and wanted to join the US military when I was a young lad after I had finished secondary school (high school). I remember at the age of 17 ringing the US embassy here in Ireland and looking for information on how I would go about in becoming a US Army Ranger. A female Marine picked up the phone and just start laughing at me then hung up, I rang back a second time hoping to get in contact with someone who would take the time to explain to me the route I needed to take but the phone rang out so that dishearten me and I never rang back again. I still never know to this day why she was laughing but how and ever.... So after this I went to college for a few months and decided that I should have went with my gut and joined the military so I dropped out of college and joined the Irish Army instead. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life and I served two great years with them. I love these videos you make about the times you have had during training because it always reminds me of the good times I had back when I served. Thanks for all your posts Nick.

      @manu89bike Před 8 lety

      +PJ Vesek not true. I'm Italian and live in USA and I'll join the army as soon as I get the green card (married to an army veteran). The Army will not claim responsibility for immigration processes. You can join the us army IF you are a LEGAL permanent resident, green card holder. You COULD join the army via MAVNI in case you've been a LEGAL resident in the USA for 2 years at least and in that case you'd have gotten the citizenship faster. Since 2009 the USCIS established that any LEGAL resident who joins the military can earn the citizenship at the end of basic combat training since they take the willingness to serve the country as a proof of loyalty to the USA. You CANNOT join the us army if you're not a legal resident in the USA or green card holder.

    I got pulled out of the dumpster while doing fire guard at 2:00am at Benning in between phases by Colonel Tex Turner back in the mid 80’s. They had marched us into the chow hall to eat that night and only gave us a few minutes to eat Chicken, green beans, corn and biscuits. After the 3rd pass walking by the dumpster at 2:00am, I couldn’t control myself. Needless to say I got a huge ass chewing from him, had to unload my cargo pockets full of biscuits but he didn’t drop me from the course and he really should have (Non-authorized Food) Such a cool man! He screamed at me “in 20 yrs of military service I have never pulled anyone out of a trash can”. Funny the same morning a few hrs later at PT while doing hello Dolly’s and flutter kicks, the RI’s were walking around asking “where’s roster 79” so the Colonel must have gone back and told them all what he found.

    My favorite story from ranger school was when I was in Darby, I was on my 2nd look BTL for ambush, and we finished emplacing security, SBF and the assault line all the squad leader has to do was crawl out and emplace the claymore. Idk how this happened but he low crawled out to the road, placed the claymore and then fell asleep with the claymore still in hand. The RI heard snoring, like this guy was out, white light the road and found him. Somehow by the grace of god I still got my GO on that ambush

    Old school Ranger School we had Desert Phase in Utah. On the tarmac before our jump into Florida Phase I took trash to the dumpster with my Ranger Buddy. I found a Honey Bun with a bite out of it on the ground. I stuck it in my cargo pocket for me and my Ranger Buddy to eat on the DZ in Florida. During JMPI the RI ripped my cargo pocket off and kicked me and my Ranger Buddy's ass! We had to recycle the Phase. On the last day of the Phase I saw a RI buy a Honey Bun from a machine take a bite out of it and drop it on the ground by the dumpster.... I took the trash again and threw it in the jumpster.....

    Im glad to see our combat leaders are good people. Would love to see this guy make it to the top! We need more intelligent hard working guys like him as leaders and examples for our young people!

    Hey, new to the channel, so if this was covered earlier, sorry. I had 2 thoughts. 1) Have you been deployed, and how did you overcome the longer duration of a deployment with workouts and diet. 2) Your channel centers around the life of a PL with personal workouts and nutrition. What would be interesting is an entire Army career coupled with similar personal goals. I realize this is not your niche, but an interesting thought of mine. As positions change, professional requirements change which would influence personal goals. Thanks for the videos.
