Clemons: Argos following CFL's direction regarding Chad Kelly

Argonauts general manager Michael 'Pinball' Clemons spoke to the media on Thursday following rookie camp to discuss Chad Kelly's presence at practice, the team's commitment to following the CFL's direction and what the organization is doing moving forward to ensure the league’s gender-based violence policy is not violated again.

I have and still do have the greatest respect for Mr. Clemons. He is a total gentleman, He is a huge supporter of people. For him to condemn anyone for any reason would be so out of character for him. I felt for his honesty being challenged, while the reporters tried their best to find out the details or have Mr. Clemons speculate on what the future might bring. It is one thing for a President to promote is club in the affirmative and another to try and defend something "no one is clearly versed in" on allegations of misconduct. I apologize to Mr. Clemons for the position the reporters felt was ok to put him in, to serve their fan base. I do hope you, (Mr. Clemons,) the team, the league and Mr. Kelly can find a satisfactory conclusion and the fans can get back to doing what we do best, Watch and follow the CFL.
