In this Hawaii travel guide, Veronica offers tips on visiting North Shore Oahu attractions such as Haleiwa Beach Park, snorkeling at Shark's Cove and Three Tables, the sea turtles at Laniakea Beach (also called Turtle Beach), and the Waimea Falls, located inside Waimea Valley Park.

When looking for North Shore Oahu accommodations, you'll discover that there really aren't any North Shore Oahu hotels except for Turtle Bay Resort. However, you will find several North Shore Oahu vacation rentals, condos and bed and breakfast spots.

I head straight for Giovanni's every time I go to Haleiwa. I've never Even noticed all that other stuff.
Staying there for 3 days! Beautiful. Did pedal boarding, met some real Hawaiians who played music, ate poke. Can't wait to see the turtles, try shave ice, and eat at Giovanni's Shrimp Truck.

I wished,I could go back to Hawaii,I was there in 67 to 70 and went back in 2011 and 2012 and I still miss it.Avery beautiful place to spend a vacation.

I was born and raised in Oahu and I still live here. I love it here, but everything is so normal to me 😂 but I love visiting Cali cause my moms side lives there and I love Disney land
I did a quick thru of Haleiwa when I did my quick tour of Oahu. I lived in Waianae for about a year---was an interesting experience...though I didn't get to do much "touring".
@dirkjently Cool! Waianae has great waves, but that whole coastline has really gone downhill lately with all the tent camping along the beaches. It's pretty dangerous these days. How was it when you were there?

I was there between 1995-1996....it was pretty decent. Was okay anyway all the way up to Makaha. I think you can blame the economy for the tents along the beaches. I was there because of an opportunity was presented---kinda hard to say 'no' to. I had some fun...but mostly just suriving. It was definitely and experience. And I do appreciate the local culture--just wish I had more time to learn more while I was there. Well...one of these days I might go back.

@WAYDESWORLDHAWAII Ah yes. Coffee Gallery is awesome! I love their haupia and purple sweet potato pie with the macadamia nut crust. One thing about keeping videos short is that you can't include everything. I'll give that sushi place a try. Sounds yummy!
@GimmeKitty Thanks so much! Wow, exact costs change so often. That's difficult to nail down. My brother in law lives on Oahu, and it's quite expensive. I'd check Craiglist for Oahu, and perhaps some online Hawaii newspapers. Good luck!

Just FYI...Aoki's Shave Ice is pronounced Ah-oh-kee, not Eye-oh-kee & Laniakea is pronounced Lah-nee-ah-kay-ah, not Lah-nee-ah-kee-ah. Still a good presentation/submission but Please do Better background research!
