  • Three remedies to fix the idle issue and or hesitation off idle on the 555 562 saws.
    Update: Currently my recommendation if you have a hesitation issue with the EL44, follow this video. Adjust the pop off and mod the butterfly as needed. If you are having any issues and the saw has the EL46,replace it with the El44 using the current up to date computer that was on the EL46. Then adjust per the video as needed.

    Thanks guys we got her all fixed found a different dealer much further away but they figured it out. I had a broken wire in the harness of the carb. Ordered a new carb put it on tuned it and then we found out my ignition module wasn't gaped properly now she's running like a champ!

    I just wanted to say, thank you for sharing this information.
    I have an early model 562 with the EL 46 carb.
    It has always had a mild stumble off idle, just enough to be annoying.
    I took it in once and the shop said it was running fine.
    I drilled out the muffler and the saw started hesitating REALLY bad, unusable.
    I cut 3 coils off the needle arm spring and now it is running Really nice, better than it ever has.
    Saw started second pull and took two blips of the throttle to sort its self out, has run perfect since.
    Cheers :-)

    I have the 555 and she had the same problem as what you talk about here i took my saw back to the dealer 4 times and on the 5th time they finally ordered a new carburator and not sure the proper name but the computer module and my saw now is a different saw all together.The saw is better on gas and sounds alot better way more power and the main thing is she dont shut off on me now and she dont have the hesitation either anyone with this problem keep going back to your dealer until they put the parts on because just getting her reseat back to factory settings does not work and they downlonded 4 to 5 things on my saw to try and fix her but did not work the only way of fixing these saws is with the new parts good luck to anyone who is going trough this it took me 6 months to get my saw fixed i will never buy husqvarna again.

    I'm really kind of stumped on the upgrade filter & housing there's a hole with a little rubber gasket goes up top and it meets up with the metering cover on the carburetor the one you're talking about, why is the old one really wide and open but the new housing has just a round little hole for the air to come through?

      Shops loose money having to good or a mechanic they dont sell new saws..
      the dealership here throws away old saws so ur forced to buy new parts

    I just saw this video as I am looking to solve a problem with a 555 with EL44 and original coil. Just completely rebuilt the saw with new gaskets, crank bearings and seals, new ring, fuel lines, carb rebuilt, firmware update at husky dealer, muffler mod, not ported, new air and fuel filter…vacuum and pressure test passed…I have the bog but only above 8k rpm… thoughts? Sounds like fuel starvation…Thank you

    He is the only one close enough within reason to drive to who has the software. But thanks he said he tried tuning it and it wouldn't let him without a serial number. He said it tuned fine on his demo saw when he entered a serial number on that saw when he had it hooked up... Idk what to do

    I forgot to take a pic of my carb disassembly. Where does the clear plastic seal go? Is it between the gasket and diaphram or between the diaphram and the case. The parts diagram does not show it.

    I have a Jonsered 2258 and when hot when i pull the trigger just a little it dies!
    What should I do on that? I have the EL47 carb on it.
    By cutting the spring can it help removing the problem?
    Thanks!

    I put a new jug and piston on my 562xp. Ran good for about 2 weeks then started cutting out at full throttle in big wood. Any ideas? It doesn’t shutoff but just cuts out quickly and comes back. Runs fine full throttle out of the wood.

  • @Ceemysix

    My 562 has an EL 46 on it. I’ve recent;y had the firmware updated, and I cut 3 coils off the spring in the carb. The saw still has a bog. I took the carb out and noticed the throttle plate has 4 small half moon holes on the edges instead of 2. The half moons are smaller. Then there is one hole near the middle of the throttle plate. Should I remove material from each of the half moons, just two, or just make the hole bigger?

    Hi, can you advise on the new Tanaka saws? I`m in a conundrum as to fixing my 14 year old Stihl 029 Farmboss. It needs a new crank, due to the needle cage self destructing and ruining the bearing surface of the crank. Is the Tanaka a good saw? Thanks

      I've heard good things about their reliability but have NO personal experience with them past handling in the store. In that price range, Echo is a saw I have a lot of experience with and recommend them to many home owner applications. Sorry I couldn't help more.

    Hi
    could you check if a 570 EL50 carb would fit the 562 EL44 ? Some of us would like to run the 562 with a mechanical carb.
    Many thx =)

  • @TimberTramp

    Mine acts like the choke is stuck on….that’s the amount of fuel that’s being dumped. Pops with the choke on but wouldn’t idle, did the ol full throttle pull trick for flooded saws and got the thing running but it just Boggs and full throttle and you can see the fuel pouring in.

    Hey, do you know if the crankcase of a Husky 560 fits with no problems on a 562?

    • @mweba1
      @mweba1  Před 10 lety

      Yes a true 560 case fits without issue. They are the same saw besides the bar mount. Making a 555 into a 560 on the other hand is a bit more involved.

  • @lsdxgaming1
    @lsdxgaming1 Před 10 lety +1

    • @mweba1

      Yes. The 562xp is my go to saw and has been for over a year. Best all around saw I've ever owned.

    I have a 562xp. That will idle fine however at full throttle it revs up then down then up then down quickly.i took the saw to the shop to have it tuned but they can't because the serial number isn't on it anymore I got the saw from eBay. Any ideas on how to tune it without a serial number. I don't want a 700 dollar paper weight :/

    • @mweba1
      @mweba1  Před 9 lety +3

      The dealer does not need a serial number to tune or flash the saw. Find a new dealer.

    • @varansr
      @varansr Před 9 lety

      countryboy4215 Dealer only needs to know: Ignition module article! All serials are in carburetor chip...Only one reason of deniying to work on it.... if the chain saw isn't registred in Husqvarna warranty data base, we have a thead of "stolen" chain saw...

    So my 562 used to idle, now it doesn't. I've sealed every possible leak spots, done you're butterfly mod, pop off mod, it seems to be rich and foul the plug. No one around me has the scan tool, not sure where to go next. If I can get it started it cuts like a fiend, thank you. EL48 on it. Jamie
