Congrats to both of you eventually, able to own a dream home. The condo looks pretty new and well maintained. In fact, can save up on the renovation and just touch up with paint work or wall paper or indoor plant. Just purchase some needed furnishings or rug to boost up the place. Better be a minimalist to declutter for space and easy cleaning. Just click on/off switch twice or triple to change light colour (warm/bright/white) LED lighting. Next, suggest u shop for a home ladder to reach the full height wardrobe. Really like the unblocked view of your balcony but will rain water wet your floor area since no glass window enclosure? For your windows, can just get UV sun block screen or put up blinds or curtains (only need to clean when dusty). Better to change door lock since you are this house owner for security reasons. Wishes you happiness and full blessings for your new home and family. 🙏❤

So cool to have your own house💜 for reno is gonna be tough but all da besttt!! Hope you guys can design a house that is aesthethic + practical + budget friendly !! I would suggest for interior maybe go for some earthly tone colours, you could either go for textured paint or wallpaper to create that cosy atmosphere when you first enter the house and living room, for furniture maybe could use wood , rattan , or cushion could use beige scheme to compliment, you could do the mix and match chairs where all the chairs in your house are different but it compliments each other in terms of colour scheme or pattern. Do consider for hidden storages / foldable & compact furniture for future purposes. Lastly would be do choose the right lighting cuz it could change the mood of the space depending to how u want, so make sure to select the right one. I think thats all for me hahaha 🤣 I am actually a year 2 interior architecture student, so this is just a little suggestion from me 💜 hope you find your ideal design 😉

Very interesting to watch. That looks ideal Randy for you and your lifestyle. Maybe for the renovation, raise the height if the bedroom floor a bit perhaps just at the window end so you can see out of the window better, it might be a nice feature.

For the lights, I think can just change the bulbs to white lights. Instead of changing the entire ceiling fan, might save u some $$$
The rolling pineapple part should be done when u really moved in to stay. There are many 'patterns' beside the classic pineapple! For example, bringing a kettle of boiled water, scattering salt n rice, placing oranges n red packet at the 4 corners, switching on ALL the lights, windows n flush the toilet bowl, the master of the household moved in to stay overnight alone the night before everyone moves in (for your case doesn't matter cos u are the sole occupier).

Ceiling fans for that bedroom size is actually a good idea. Can ventilate the whole room and save floor space. If the cupboards are not built-in, can actually change all to industrial look cupboards + fans and led spot lights. And hor, sg weather too hot already.. if full length windows.. you will have to on your aircon most of the times if you are at home cos even if you put 3M + block out curtains it won't help much.

Best renovation is just fixed the lights, get adequate power points and paint the walls. everything else just buy off the shelf and let your house grow organically.

Some of the lights may have multiple tones. You might have to press a few more times then you will get diff tones
u could build a loft in the bedroom to save some space and can maybe put a desk under the loft bed

for a 1 bedder, suggest to skip dinning table, get a transformer coffee table that can lift up to become a eating table from comfort furniture. i topped up $ to change the laminate of that big coffee table. tbh i never use my dinning table much, i am so used to eat on that coffee table while i watch youtube on tv.

Congratulations! Looks really nice, big balcony. So in Singapore, anyone can buy a private condo but for HDB, then must fulfil a lot of conditions, is that right? Typically, how much would a one bedroom condo like that cost?
Around $1 million, even more depending on location and floor (eg higher costs more)
Not everyone can afford man, that's why 81% of the people are living in hdb. Looks like a east area condo at least 700-800k.
For resale, 1 bedder approx 600-800k+. 2 bedder approx 700-900k+. But there could be additional premium for better locations. In his vid can see hdb opposite so I think the prices I listed should be more or less in the range.

Buy a storage bed if your wardrobe is not enough for you. You can store the clothes you rarely use like winter clothes/travel stuff etc..

Strongly recommend not to hack your baclony floor otherwise the ogrinial waterproofing warranty (normally around 10 years) will be voided. You may instead choose to overlay or do timber decking.
