    I've seen these when I'm driving along the A13 and often wondered what they were. Thanks !

    Very random but I liked the quiet easy going video and the stable camera :) very relaxing video.

    These are pretty cool! I've visited Rainham L/C and Manor Way L/C a few times now and haven't noticed these! I'll keep a look out next time I visit those crossings!

    As a lighting tech, am intrigued to know what surface, facing what way, was the basis for the Lux meter's measurement.
    Once again you are spoiling us, Ambassador :-)

      Thanks! It's the same with how the tide is reference to show its height and the power of the wind turbine... what is indicated is equivalent to 4 turbines running at maximum capacity! They're nice looking but from a functional purpose, are they really relevant

    The huge wind turbine at Green Park, Reading is classified as 2 megawatt (peak).
    9 megawatts seems very unlikely from a single turbine but could be the total output of a wind-farm comprising several turbines.

    • @morthren
      @morthren  Před 5 lety +1

      My thought exactly! Most wind turbines are 2 - 3 megawatts but if these numbers are correct, it must be the output of a wind farm.

    If they were to look like litmus paper then they should've been multicoloured. Interesting, though I'm sure they could have been engineered a bit better.

    • @peterdean8009
      @peterdean8009 Před 4 lety

      Not *that* multicoloured. Unused Litmus paper is a dull purple colour, but turns bright red in acid or deep blue in alkali. The really multicoloured stuff is called universal indicator paper or pH paper. Anyway, not very scientific if they just display numbers but no units - inches, degrees C, etc. Totally pointless 'installation' and a serious distraction for drivers.

    I think the tide rise and fall is the average in the table but the tower may be showing the actual rise allowing for weather and spring tides and where the measurements are taken maybe?

    Obligatory government art installation. Nice video presentation, and I like this art just fine. Should be finished with the side panels though. I really appreciate the ambient sound throughout, and the subtitles are well done too. Here in the US a small percentage of the cost of a new government building must go toward public art. Most of which is gaudy, overthought, clashing. This is ok though. Thanks.
