    Boston Legal was one of the most underrated shows ever. It deserved far more viewers and my gosh the duet of Spader and Shatner was amazing!

      They blended seriousness with humor. David E. Kelley did an amazing job. I just came to the party on Amazon Prime 2 months ago. Slowly "binge watching", but this show is soooo entertaining.

      This series was so to the point of what's wrong with our society that ABC decided to end it because of the inconvenient truth which mostly hit corrupt capitalism (sometimes direct, sometimes subtle). I love Boston Legal and I have all episodes on DVD.

    Seriously: This show should've never been cancelled, to me the enormous talent from the cast along with the uncanny leading from David E. Kelley made an absolutely perfect combination. Damned be the networks for ever putting an end to such masterpiece. With all due respect Mr. Kelley, I don't think you are ever going to be THAT lucky on putting together all the necessary pieces for another perfect show, but I still hope you do.
    "It's THAT simple" :)

      That wasn't Kelley's fault but ABC didn't want to have corrupt capitalism being attacked any longer.

If you haven't already heard them look up James Spader's radio interviews he did a long one in both 2013 and then in 2014 as well. His voice is like butter! AND he also voiced some Acura car commercials they can be found on you tube also. Just having audio of James makes my day. You are completely right about the audiobooks :)

    Spader kind of speaks like Jeff Goldblum when he pauses and uses all the filler words like Uh, and Uhm. It's awesome. He's so articulate like Shore is/was on the show.

    • @Osmone_Everony
      @Osmone_Everony Před 4 lety +1

      James Spader did it to give the viewer time to swallow his words. Jeff Goldblum otoh is just one of the worst actors ever and he made these pauses because he lost yet another line of text.

    'Boston Legal's' failing was all the "issues" they "tackled." They rarely served the story. It is still fun to watch because the cast was so strong...
    Inversely 'the Blacklist' has a middling journeyman cast, the writing is often dull, and is simply watchable because of Spader. He owns that character. Talented man...

    Alan Shore played by James Spader is at the top of the tree along with Walter White/Bryan Cranston and Tony Soprano/James Gandolfini when it comes to a specific actor being perfectly cast to play a superbly written protagonist in a series, in my opinion.

    Boston Legal started off incredibly well , amazing characters and the laughs were just brilliant . Unfortunately it became too silly , first with HANDS , that irritated me , then the black guy dressed as a woman , that killed the show , the series died out from there . very sad , if they stuck to the first season format , it could of been one of the very best .
