- First reaction to Talk Talk - It's My Life (Live at Montreux 1986)
Live at Montreux 1986 is a concert video release by the British synth pop band Talk Talk of a concert at 1986 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. The show was part of a tour that started in April 1986 to promote the band's recent album The Colour of Spring, and was to be their only appearance at Montreux, from their last tour. For this tour, the usual trio of Mark Hollis (vocals), Paul Webb (bass), and Lee Harris (drums) was augmented by John Turnbull on guitar, two percussion players, and two keyboard players. As often, de facto fourth band member Tim Friese-Greene did not play on stage with the band.

One of the most under-appreciated bands ever. Mark Hollis was a true musical stud. Talk Talk and The Fixx are my two favorite British bands to come out of this era. RIP Mr. Hollis.
Always LOVED this song. One of the best songs of the 80's imho.
My favourite 80s band. Proper music, written and played by musicians. Any video from this concert is great❤️
Talk Talk and Tears for Fears were my 2 favs from this Era
Me too!
Depeche Mode has entered the chat.
You have to see the whole concert. It' so great!
This was an absolute banger live version. The energy here was raw and real - the artists in full control of the performance not the producers or sound engineers, and not a mobile phone or autotuner in sight.
Montreaux, that was their best concert for me.
Funny bu the way how you didn't know the song was from talk talk, Mark Hollis had a unique and very recognizable voice.
This performance is truly epic!
I love this song. I think that this one is better then Gwen Stefani version.
So I found too
Amazing performance
I remember this too. Definitely 80's. Thanks for the memories!
This brings back some childhood memories 😀
One of my favourites back in the day, had the 12" of their single Today and still own the cd natural history, favourite band of the time was Ultravox.
Awesome. One of my favorite songs in my teenage years. Bryan Ferry!! Gwen Stefanni’s group did a cover that was pretty good too.
Aaah! This' one of my fav's from the 80'ies.
Seems to me they were always ahead of their time. :)

After hearing different shows in Europe I have to say that my favorite one was the one in Salamanca Spain. What we got here in the states was the American version which felt like the soul was removed . Now that I’ve heard more of the European versions all I can say is they were the baddest ones on the planet. You could feel the pulse you could here everything clear yet very powerful. Gwen Stephani didn’t do this song absolutely any justice
Sabes el concierto ke dieron en zalamanka España fue toral mark lo entrego todo mi amor platonico
Sorry but how tf can you not know this song, I know my entire life this song called talk talk - it's my life.. And I'm 28 years old.. On top of that I'm from Holland while he's from your country.... Like everybody knows this song
It's my Life. This song wasn't that big in the U.S.. But I loved it. I remember this came out the year I graduated high school. 1984. I know I'm old. Here's a suggestion for a reaction. Brooke C. and Moriah Formica doing an amazing cover of Heart's Barracuda. It's so good.
