The plant you thought was a bird of paradise is actually a banana tree. The other plant that you said looked like a Christmas Tree is a Norfolk Island Pine, it grows well indoors 😀🇹🇩

The "Christmas tree" (araucaria heterophylia) has been around for quite a while. It's native to the Norfolk Island (Australia). It is an alternative to pine trees that do not survive indoors.

The pine tree one is a norfolk pine! I have one, they are one of my favorite plants....they are not a true pine, they are tropical houseplants and they can grow pretty big.....the local hospitals have big ones as inside plants....they are easy care! You will have to look them up!

The Sanseveria you picked up was a moonshine. They are one of the rarer ones. I just got one for ÂŁ7.99 6cm pot. They can be on the pricier side. I love when you reach over the table, over just walking around to the other side of it. I think their plants are a little pricey considering the size. The succulents I have seen much cheaper, unless you are also paying the cost for the planter you may not actually want...my budgets is ÂŁ10 less for a plant. The single leaf hoya was a rip off! Unless they have a stem they stay as just the leaf I've seen them for lowest ÂŁ5

Such nice variety of houseplants, some of the vases were too small for the plants.
That can cause plant distress. Always a good idea to transplant them to a slightly bigger vase!

I think the tiny little terra cotta watering vessel (16:21) located in the arrangement looks like it is intended for decoration in my opinion, quite cute really. I don't believe it's intended for watering, again, my opinion.

Love all euphorbias....the begonias at the beginning were beautiful...I have the iron cross one...which is pretty easy care....that dark leaf one was super neat too! I would have gotten it!! Fab bargain on the black velvet! Nice plant and on my hit list for sure! Love the reductions at Dobbies, got several bargains that way as they do reduced their plants by quite a bit for the slightest thing. I swear there was nothing wrong with my Malay Gold I got reduced, think they thought it was yellowing but thats just what the plant looks like! I wasn't going to argue though lol!!
Can't believe you are having so much trouble with your Chlorophytum Green Orange. I picked one up from Dobbies after seeing yours and loving the look of it. It is such an easy plant for me! It's not in the brightest spot yet is still putting out new growth and no black anywhere!!

Aparently that begonia could easily be propagated by snapping the veins along the middle coming from the base of the leaf, if kept in a container or something else to lock in humidity and under a grow light of course.

@@SheffieldMadePlants I’m experimenting with peperomia, but unfortunately I hadn’t had the opportunity to give it a go. The lady I seen successfully do it had it in sphagnum moss and a clear plastic locking disposable container and did that with the exact same kind of begonia you seen there. About two or three new babies came from the one leaf. I’ve heard also more mature leaves have a higher success rate. Maybe she used tank water or rain water and a solution mix in the sphagnum moss. That’s something I wish to try one day.

Alocasia’s lose leaves when the push a new leaf out. I’ve noticed you’ve commented a couple of times that they have browning leaves and you say it’s a shame. It’s natural. And you commented that the plant has issues, that’s not necessarily true. Probably best to know more about the plant before you comment as it might put someone off.
