Excellent interview! Insightful, pre-meditated, and concise questions by Dr. Hook, which I very much appreciate. He didn't interrupt the speaker and stayed mostly transparent in this interview, reminding me of the way Brian Lamb conducted his interviews; really deep, but short questions, followed by 10 minutes answers. I also like that Dr. Hook broke up the interview into 10 minute chunks, allowing the viewer to ruminate on the responses. As for Dr. Webster, I must say this is her best interview (I've watched about ten of her interviews in the last 30 days) on her new book. I really appreciate her work on Freud and especially the way she ties that up with her knowledge of Lacan. She has provided an eye-popping and earful of breadth and depth to my understanding in a very short time. I am now a fan and follower of Dr. Webster! Thank you both!
Thanks for this. I just bought the book after listening to this interview and appreciate the clinical exchange throughout the interview, which I think is quite unique to this channel and greatly helpful as a psychotherapist.
Thanks for these. I'm going through these carefully. I just reread the first three volumes of the S..E, and am struck by how much of interest there still is in the founding ideas of psychoanalysis.
