Season Food with Cheetos Dust? Let's Try the Cheetos Duster!
Vložit

- Today I'm testing out the Cheetos Duster, which is a small blender that can turn any Cheetos into a food seasoning. I also compare it to my 200-watt Ninja Chopper.

#cheetos #blender #foodhacks - Jak na to + styl
it's literally easier to smash a bag of cheetos in just a couple of seconds
Week old cheeto dust 😂
Right, and if you want it in a shaker just throw it in a parmesan cheese shaker.
What fun is that?
Plastic world.
😮 savage!
James seriously needs an affiliate link for this Ninja chopper. It's making so many cameos, and you can tell he's having a lot of fun with it, lol.
Is this just a low power temu blender?
Do you mean no power blender?😂
a coumputer fan would be more efficient than this thing
The ones on temu are probably better.
It is a BRANDED one
It's essentially a Blendjet that only blends one thing.
Take a shot every time James says "dust", 10 minutes later, drunk as hell! Great video as always! Happy Saturday, Happy St.Patrick's Day ☘🍀
I finished my beer before reading this comment.
But, since it's St. Patrick's Day, I can go get a six pack and play the Cheeto dust drinking game, since it's legal today (?)
"a symphony of texture" describing cheetos powder on a potato. such a way with words!
This is definitely for people who are absolute Cheetos Fans and like the idea of putting Cheetos Dust on everything . As for the blender itself, No surprise that the Ninja was better.
Using the dust as part of the breading for fried chicken is actually pretty good
The health equivalent of freebasing crack but good
@HobbiesGamesChillin LoL You have no idea what freebasing really is, do you???
@@TheAmishElectrican 1 that is part of the joke
2 you sound like you have had a lot of fun at parties
@@GarieTuman How?
I figured this was a blendjet rebrand, but evidently it’s a knock off of a knock off of a knock off of a blendjet. 😆😆
Think I’ll try shaking a couple chicken tenders in Cheetos dust instead of Kentucky Kernal before air frying.
Do a mix of the two. Cheetos dust alone will disappoint you.
@@whoopsydaisy6389 Good idea.
Jolly good idea, but I won't be using a specific tool to make Cheetos dust. A plastic bag and rolling pin should do the job 😅
@@mimiclout4792 That is how my mother would make graham cracker crumbs for pie crust. I could use the dry container on my Vitamix, but I’ll go with the bag and rolling pin.
Kentucky Kernal is fantastic!!! Try Cool Ranch Doritos too..
Im just like Bailey when i hear snacks being opened
A daring juxtaposition of flavors!!!! That's a sentence I NEVER thought I'd hear on this channel.
*puts hot cheetos on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich*
Me outloud home alone: Noooo James, no...
Pregnancy-level snacking right there 😅 But he liked it, so...let's let the man "cook", lol.
Great ad for that Ninja chopper. Now I really want one of those, lol
It's great mine has already paid for itself.
Imagine all the high quality culinary dishes you can create with that! Amazing!!
That Ninja is only 20 dollars at the moment. That's a great deal.
That’s the same exact thing I was thinking when I saw this. Definitely better quality than this thing.
I have one, and it works great.
Wait, really?! That's a steal for a Ninja appliance!
Where?
@@maryroberts2099 The link in the description sent me to Target which is where I found it. I checked Walmart and they have it for 22.
Yes guys this is DEFINITELY NOT just a reason to nom nom on some Cheeto dust on screen.
Love your descriptive vocabulary when speaking about Cheetos. Kind of elevates them to the category of real food LOL! As far as the "duster" goes, before the video even started the thought that came to mind was just put them in a Ziploc bag and crush them up with a rolling pin, the way you make graham cracker crumbs for pie crust. But I admit it was impressive to see how the Ninja handled them.
I would say the duster is more of an advertisement piece than a functioning blender.
The way you align the cheetos puffs perfectly in the cup is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
I know and won't move them to let it dust it up
As someone who always eats Cheetos along side my peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, I'm not at all surprised that the PB&J&Flamin'Hot sandwich worked. That sounds pretty delicious.
10:32
Just a PSA on what can happen to you when you abuse Cheetos dust.
I enjoy your reviews so much!
Thanks for all the awesome content! Keep up the great work! 😊
The large opening on the lid is handy for leveling off a measuring spoon, you stick a measuring spoon in and fill it and then level it off by striking it along the straight edge of the opening. It's something you can do with any large herb and spices container with such an opening.
Prolly easier to "shake" it side to side in a horizontal motion, and not upright but very small jerky shake movements.
What is this instruction for? There are children in this comment section!
@@trublgrlYes, it would appear that you're one of them....
yeah i agree
@@trublgrl I'm confused.. Am I a child for sharing genuine advice? I don't think so, but you're welcome to your opinion I guess.
@@Easyflux Not everyone gets every joke, it's fine.
I wish you would have compared it to simply putting some cheetos in a plastic baggie and rolling over it with a rolling pin
But then you gotta buy a rolling pin.
Anything flat would work. Pan..... anything
This video was excellent! Love the foodie lines like "this is a symphony of textures!" 😂
Cheetos dust on popcorn is amazing it can make a lot of things Bland taste good
Bailey is ALWAYS such a funny and welcome addition to your videos even if for only a few seconds 😂
I think its better to use the ninja but run it for a little longer and really turn it into dust
I feel like the possibilities are endless here. I think I would try my little mini Cuisinart food processor, and pulse just like you did with your Ninja. Also, how about trying some Doritos as well? Either could be delicious as a breading, or even as a cheesy, crunchy topping on casseroles. Can't wait to get started! Btw, James, I love when the little blade just made a tiny slice in that one Puff! 😄
I smash Doritos up,in a zip bag when all the big ones are gone! Doesn’t make a mess and I can throw away the bag! Cost? Maybe a couple cents!!!
Thad lid looks straight up from a parmesan dispenser.
Thank you for your entertaining review!
I put Dill Pickle Chips on my home made burgers and it softens up so it has no crunch but you get the flavor of that chip same with BBQ it give just enough of a hint of flavor, The first time I tried it was when I ran out of pickles and though why not.
I haven't fully watched it yet but I would assume that the oils in the Cheetos would cause them to build up and not be able to be dispensed properly out of the shaker thing they give you.. I also would have probably smacked it upside down during the dusting process only to get the dust away from the blades.
"It's a daring juxtaposition of flavors!" I need this said with you wearing a monocle and your pinky raised, possibly affecting a British accent 😂. Which then would be more hilarious as such a gentleman is eating...Cheeto dust 😅
This was a fantastic video lol more like this
Thanks, and I'll do my best!
More videos like what? Are you expecting more Cheetos related products? I'm not sure how much material there is out the for future videos TBH.
@JaredConnell what a ray of sunshine you are. There's always more material. If you'd like to be negative, this isn't the right comment section.
The banana with Cheeto dust made me uncomfortable. Please never hold a banana like that again on video.
But it's a daring juxtaposition of flavors!
Best review ever, I def need that ninja
Have you done a"favorites" video? Like favorite veggie chopper etc
He has but it’s usually just his favorite products in general, like his yearly top ten products of the last year. But sectioning them out into general categories and listing off a bunch of his favorites is probably a solid idea
Should have tried the Cheeto dust to make air fry fried chicken.
Dip chicken first in flour, milk (butter milk, oat milk, and/or whole milk), then dip in Cheetos dust of your choice.
Air fry strip for about 15-18 minutes at 400 C
You will enjoy
"A daring juxtaposition of flavors" This is the highbrow content I come here for. I only wish you'd given us some wine pairings for our Cheeto dust covered repast.
With all these reviews, you must have some great new ideas for products
The ninja chopper got my attention as much as the cheetos dust.
Pierce bag. Stamp on bag for 5 seconds. Spend savings on beer. Great show.
Thanks James!
Honestly, the Cheetos puffs are you Gotta do is crunch them in your hand, and they do the same thing lol love your videos keep them going
Lol, would be fun just trying different stuff
It seemed to work well on about everything!
Remember when Cheetos Duster came out two years ago? I never thought I'd see a review of it, but it turns out this is a great video! The idea of seasoning food with Cheetos dust is a bit out there, but it looks like it works pretty well.
So how is this different from a Nutri Bullet? Or any other smaller food processor/blender? Or even just taking a ninja or vitamix and blitzing the shit out of it? Other than the "proprietary lid" (which isn't proprietary nor is it anything new).
The difference is that unlike this Cheeto branded dud, those other items actually work!😂
Using Cheetos and Takis in cooking is the most current year trend there ever was... I know it started like 4 or 5 years ago. But still.
I'm addicted to Takis. Now that's some good stuff.🌶😋
The PBJ with the hot cheetos is my childhood go to snack! I didn't crush them though but it's basically the same thing!
'A symphony of textures.'
'A feast of the senses.'
'A daring juxtaposition of flavors.'
-James White, talking about Cheeto dust on random foods, moments before suffering a cheese overdose. Circa 2024.
🤣 Thank you! 👍
James, after this review, you’ll NEVER want to look cheese straight in the eye ever again! 🤣
In UK we call them Wotsits! :)
When looking at the thumbnail I said "who would buy that?" but my fat ahh now wants one...
Right lol.
And that’s what they’re betting on.
Buy a blender, thank me later.
Was Jay’s secret squab ingredient that Heddy just adored. One of the best Ghost episodes.
This review was so good.
Got this for Xmas. Use it for dried mushrooms works great.
The lid wasn't great but overall better than mortar and pestle.
Dusted!!! Love it so much!!! What a great marketing concept for a coffee/spice grinder that usually cost about $12. I love the concept! I have done that in my food processor many times with better results!
I done the same thing with pork rinds, but I put them in a ziplok bag and nailed it with a rolling pin. I use that to coat fried chicken.
You should do a video on Amazon’s book lamps. Like the clip on kind, the neck kind and the page kind.
This was a great ad for the Ninja chopper🤣 It lost me at 20 watts....but then it for SURE lost me with the puffs as those are my favorite.
I have no interest in 99% of the products you review, but I still watch cause you're so entertaining. Modern day Billy Mays
Long time viewer, first time commenter. Greetings from Henderson, NV. I love your reviews as you always do thorough, real world tests and give honest reviews. I feel like this Cheetos Duster is a gimmick. When the directions on the box looks like a meme and you shaking the duster reminded me of the shake weight. How much was the duster by chance? I also think that the reason the cheetos stuck so much in the duster and didn't pour out from the shaker was that they had too much moisture. Maybe in your "One year later" video try throwing the cheetos in the oven at like 250 degrees for and hour will dry them out and you'll get actual dry powder. Anyways, great video as always, see you in the next one.
Bro is turning into LA Beast. Gonna be sitting on the pot later 🤣🤣🤣
my man absolutely respects the cheeze, props
"A daring juxtaposition of flavors." I'm working that into a conversation sometime. Also try dusting up some cool ranch Doritos and sprinkling that on mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. DELICIOUS!
I'll second support of that Ninja chopper, I've had one for 2+ years now and it is absolutely phenomenal.
This was a good advertisement for Cheetos. 😂 I went out and bought a bag of them today.
I never thought about turning cheetos into a spice, great idea
Wonder if drenching the popcorn in butter and dust and then mixing in a sealed bowl would evenly coat it and let it stick to the pop corn.
Be honest, you did this review just so you could put Cheeto dust on anything and everything. 😂😂
I actually break down Utz cheese curls in a tupperware container with a potato masher and I like to put those on top of macaroni and cheese. But I don't use it for anything else.
It's starting to get hot, can you review air conditioners like the windmill or noria?
Hey Freakin’ Reviews! I have an idea for you, I see this one other designer guy who reviews products and he often does an oily non dominant hand test where he uses the products in two separate tests one with his normal dominant hand and another with his non dominant hand but also with some oil to simulate either someone with weaker hands or arthritis etc, it’s of course up to you at the end of the day but whenever I see their reviews with the left hand oily test it definitely shows potential flaws of products or them being made primarily with right handed people in mind, but it definitely helps with reviews for people with left hands or weaker hands.
A Magic Bullet Blender would be the same.
Any household blender would work.
For the Puffs you need to do one or two at a time so they are away from the blade and free to move
We been doing that, for decades, in jails and prisons. That's one of the main food groups. You just put some in a smaller chip bag, or even a baggie, then just mash it, inside the bag. It's one of the main ingredients to make a prison pizza, makes a great crust, just takes a lot.
A banana? You're a brave man, James. Please review the FOHERE Electric Cheese Grater 😁
Fully aware that it was a gimmick, I got this item on pre order when it was first announced... Last... A few years ago? I love it. I carefully peeled the cheesy fingerprint stickers off of the packaging (the shipping boxes, not the unit itself) and put them around my house on the fridge, the roomba, etc. It's my go-to small item blender as well.
I primarily use it with Flamin Hot Fritos and dust up cheeseburgers and sandwichs that I make at home. I strongly recommend using it on those items! Mmmm.
literally better and faster to just smash a bag of cheetos in a resealable bag
It barely works though.
Don’t think this product is necessary. That being said, I used to grind flaming hot fries and sprinkle it into rice and eggs and it was crazy good❤
I'm curious, how did your digestive tract respond to all of this?
When I was a kid I ALWAYS crushed my Cheetos in my hand and ate the crumbs. My hands were orange and sticky and I always thought I was a weirdo for eating them like that until I turned adult and I see on the internet that others like them crushed too! Yeahhhh for me not being a weirdo!!! Love your vids!
A banana 🍌 of all things 😂? Straight up cheese at the end 🧀 ❤!
I eat cheese and Cheetos/Doritos together sometimes when I get a cheat day on Keto
@@bruticus1496 Well you, Sir, are a daredevil and a gentleman
I used to work with a lady who would throw away the crumbs of doritos and cheetos, one day at lunch I asked if I could have them. She laughed and I said "hey the crumbs are the best part!" For years after that she'd buy me cheetos and smash them up in the bag so I'd get a whole bag of crumbs for my birthday LOL... very sweet of her.
I have done the same thing with Cool Ranch Doritos, and egg wash and some flour to coat chicken tenders. It made amazing fried chicken. You should try it.. A1 mixed with Mustard makes a great dip sauce too..
I had a Golden Retriever when I was a kid, he loved Cheetos!😂😂😂
The pb jelly sandwich sounds really good actually
It’s soooo good using it in lieu of bread crumbs. Flaming hot fried cheese sticks? Yes please!
I'd just use my little food processor I got from Walmart.
I've used it before to make cracker crumbs for meatloaf & it works better too.
You can also crush with a rolling pin, beat the bag, let your kids go to town or whatever method you prefer.
The only thing I see this good for is if you collect branded Cheetoh merchandise.
I been watching for years now just like watching and chilling
Huh, not sure if I need it. It's just a mini blender. But I do admit, that dispenser is a nice addition.
I love taking a bag of flaming hot or the jalapeño cheddar cheetos, smashing it up and putting in into my cup of ramen!! Its 🔥
definitely want to see it on pizza, tacos, and pasta :)
🎵DUSTIN' MAKES ME FEEEEL GOOOOD🎶
maybe i’m cheap but taking a rolling pin whacking the heck out of it does the same plus saves money another great review
I've used ground Flaming-Hot Cheetos to coat corndogs after they have been dipped in the batter. It makes for a pretty spicy corndog.
I have a virtual cheetos stomach ache. Lol
Something I have been wanting to try is taking flaming hot Cheetos dust, Getting mozzarella sticks, dunk it in a beaten egg, then coat it with the Cheetos dust, freeze it, and finally air fry it. Then you have Flaming Hot Cheetos mozzarella sticks.
The Cheetos dust would be good on Mac & Cheese casserole or thrown into the fried chicken coating mix. So many other options too.
