- Alex Miller (possibly December 5, 1912 -- May 25, 1965), known professionally as Sonny Boy Williamson, was an American blues harmonica player, singer and songwriter, from Mississippi. He is acknowledged as one of the most charismatic and influential blues musicians, with considerable prowess on the harmonica and highly creative songwriting skills. He recorded successfully in the 1950s and 1960s, and had a direct influence on later blues and rock performers.

SO COOL
Fenomen.Wyjatkowy muzyk!
so this is how beatboxing started...
God i hope not !!!There's these people beatboxing with a harmonica. It's a disgrace to harmonica players i play harmonica i play blues i don't play this hip hop or rap crap dubstep. It's like using a toilet brush for a toothbrush. Beatbox with your mouth leave the harmonica out of it
Wade Hardwick bro everyone how he likes, just dont listen to it
Wade Hardwick lol you can tell that you’re old, you can’t stand the idea of combining two different things. Lol even lots of the old people I know can still be open to new things but you must be super stubborn too
@@wadesternator4787 That's... That's not hot art works, mate.
I believe the proper term for what he was doing is know as “skat”
Шиииикарнооо!!!!
Relíquia#Sensacional!!!!!!

Guess no one asked to play SB's harps after they saw his nose playing?

The guy at 00:07 begins to smoke as soon as SBW II started.
This is the origin of mouth boxing
don'tcha just want to run into that audience waving a cattle prod?
Sonny was the master of Blues, I figure #harmonica
Beatbox
Does anybody knows what key this song is?? Is it Em?
Calebe Priester Gmaj
Santana Pendleton oh man!! thx a lot!!
Calebe Priester no worries. you were close with Em, same notes. Em being the relative minor of G.
+Calebe Priester It's in G. He's playing in "second position" on a low C harmonica
+Santana Pendleton My man Sonnyboy So smooth and laid back. Gettn kind of tired of all this superfast blazing harp and love Sonnyboys soul playing. Ive been playing for over 35yrs and love the traditional styles more now than ever. Love what Howard Levy, Joe Filisco and Kim Wilson are doing with the harp
Well at the time what could you espect of the audience - nothing -
Носом! 😅
what key did he played back then
this song is on a low C
Playing with his nose nostrils!!!!!?????? I ain't askin to borrow his harp!!!!!!!!! Know what I mean, jelly bean king??????????
Dead easy. Get Hohner 12 hole harp in C, £40, and just feel it, man! You only need to draw and blow on the first 4 or 5 bottom notes.

The best sounding blues harmonica is always pretty simple. Gotta play it with your soul though.
O negão manjava do assunto, tocava até com o nariz
kkk Esse ai conseguiria peidar na gaita e fazer mais música que todos os funkeiros do Brasil juntos
@@CalebePriester kkkkkkkk. O cara brincava com a gaita.

Still yet to see a black face in the audience
This must have been somewhere in Europe when there was a small black population.
You wouldn't, this was recorded during the American Folk Blues Festival and The British Tours (1963-1966) in the UK and Germany. They were very successful and on TV over here, which hadn't yet happened in the US. Sonny Boy Williamson loved Europe and stayed on for a year. Some concerts, like the one my father traveled from the Netherlands to see with a friend, were in Frankfurt. I was trying to see if I could find him in the audience, he has just passed on at 98. He bought their records back then and passed them and his great love of the blues and these legendary musicians to me.
Sorry this is not b-boxing ..Doug E Fresh was the first..😛😜😜
You tethers love trying to disconnect older black American culture from Hip Hop. This is beat boxing and no Dougie wasn't the first.
