  • We took an AC First Class train from Agra to Jaipur. Since we have very little train experience, we checked out each part of our cabin in complete fascination. It was about a 6 hour train ride and we thoroughly enjoyed today’s travel day as it gave us time to enjoy the journey while also getting in some work.
    Thanks for watching!

    ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel. Together we decided to vlog and blog our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Thank you for following us along our journey!

Last 1 or 2 years and these coaches will retire forever from Indian Railways. This design served well from the last 4 decades would now be history. Will miss traveling in them, even though they were old were part of childhood. Just 13000 coaches remaining to change and India is making 6800 new ones each year so pretty much end of them.

Now there have been a lot new changes that are continuously streamlining the Indian railways journey experience. For what Elliot mentioned as cashew toast were not actually cashew toasts/bread. they are called rusks. and one don't eat them raw out of packet (because that can be so dry). we usually eat them dipped in milk tea or just milk but I'll recommend the former one as it usually tastes good.

It has complimentary meal services (large portion sizes and cooked on board for 1st class passengers), good on board service, high standards of cleanliness, faster and very punctual operation, better coaches, etc. To many Indian Railway fans, Rajdhani Express trains are not just trains, they are an emotion.
(Though, I have to say, when the Rajdhanis first began operating in the 60s and 70s, their service was much grander than what it has become today. They were a status symbol and only used by the upper middle class. The quality of the service dropped quite significantly around 1989. Currently, efforts are being made to make the Rajdhanis grand again but in way that they remain affordable for the masses)

I always booked on the official irtc website but then used ixigo for monitoring trains, car location, ticket, etc.! There were some initial problems with my foreign credit card but eventually got it to work.

20 minutes late. U say that in japan and they will have a heart attack. India is still building the infra. Currently fright and passenger trains share the same lines. Btw nice video. Also the map part everyone is talking about, its ok and understandable as u guys don’t know. Actually it is a very touchy subject as India has disputes and constant threat on 2 borders from pakistan and china. With Other countries borders are fine.
