Heating for green bearing is no needed ! Don't use a steel hammer !! For these 2 remarks is a Teflon hammer the tool (no damaging to axe or bearings) !!! Put some new grease into the gearbox for lubrication & noise reduction! Belt tension : turn it so tight with the screw (motorplate) that you can push (with 2 fingers) the upper part & the under part of the rubber belt nearly in contact with each other . The screws for fixing the motorbloc will give a little extra tension on the belt ...

Great video Dean. Quick question if u dont mind. My DW718 has all of a sudden gone stiff. When I push down to make a cut the saw stays in that position and I have to use force to rise it up out of the throat plate. Would this be a bearing issue or something else? Thanks again.
