    I’m loving all of your videos! You are such a blessing to your family, always remember that on the hard days. You’re teaching this 60 year old farm girl a few things.😊

    Your comments on the differences between men and women and the importance of a homemaker were absolutely beautiful and spot on. God knew what he was doing. Wonderful video. 😊❤️

    I agree with your chat about traditional roles of the husband and wife. I was a stay at home Mom and I loved it. Now a Great Grandma. I do remember when more women seemed to either want to or need to have a career, they would ask another woman what do you do, The stay at home wife and Mom would say, Oh I am just a stay at home Mom, like they felt less or embarrassed by it. I am hopiing that trend has somewhat gone away, as I am seeing more traditional young families, which make me happy. All of your meals always look so delicious.

    Gosh, your home must smell great with all that bread baking, mmmmmm ☺. Your daughter when she made that face cracked me up! LOL, I think you laughed, too, while doing your voice over.

      Haha yep 😂 my daughter sometimes will say “it smells like sourdough” when we’re in a public place even though there’s no bread around so I’m not sure what she thinks it smells like but I definitely like it 😅

    I am new to your channel. I love this topic and I agree with you. I feel that being a mother and homemaker, it is the greatest calling we could have as women. That is how God meant for it to be. We are Homemakers, Keepers at home. I think it is sad that there are so many women who are not content with being a stay at home mom. That they let the pressures of other people make them almost ashamed to admit that they are homemakers. It is such a lie. I thank God that I am a stay at home mom. I agree with brandykaminski, God knew what He was doing. ...Bless you and thank you for this video...Sherri-Idaho

    I started feeding our chickens fermented Scratch and Peck mash. What brand do you use. How much do you feed them a day? We have 6 and I have been placing out dry and fermented but haven’t figured out a good way to do it yet. Not sure they need dry too.

    • @TheDuvallHomestead
      @TheDuvallHomestead  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes we do the organic layer mash and just add water let it sit and ferment it. You do have to continually add water to it so it stays moist and wet (but not soupy). The grain dries quick so it’ll absorb the water if you don’t add water. We do only fermented feed no dry feed. I’d say it’s anywhere from 1/2 cup to 1 cup of fermented feed per hen depending on if they’re laying and how much access they have to natural resources. I do have a full blog post on it if you want more info just search chicken feed on theduvallhomestead.com 😊

      @@TheDuvallHomestead thank you so much! I read the blog and I watched the video that went along. I think I will do this from now on. Do you still mix you food or buy prepackaged mix? I would love to mix our own to try to save. I think the 25 pound bag we were getting was $50 and I’d love to cut that down and make it go further. Where do you get your mash from?

    I love your talk of traditional man and women rolls. Hate that you said Mother nature made it that way. 100% God. Mother nature had nothing to do with it. never understood the whole mother nature talk. Or the universe.

    • @TheDuvallHomestead
      @TheDuvallHomestead  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I actually said God made it that way the entire time. I believe I just said Mother Nature when I was referring to the fact that men and women exist all over nature - animals, plants, humans, all of Gods creations.
