This probably won't happen. ByteDance has already said they'd rather if TikTok gets banned in the US than having to sell it off.
Also ByteDance has indicated that if they were to sell the company, they would not be including the algorithm into the deal. The algorithm is what makes TikTok valuable. Anybody that purchases TikTok would be buying a pig in a poke.
And if Apple buys TikTok then itâs not Tiktok anymore. So I would side the Bytedance decision. Rather be banned than be sold to american tech company that can see, manage, and administer the algorithm.

Apple is primarily a hardware company. They should continue with that, but innovate and create hardware that makes everyday life easier for humanity. They should create something that can impress us, that brings out the enthusiasm. The world doesn't need more entertainment. Apple has already moved into the health market with its watches. Apple has also acquired a lot of AI knowledge in the defunct car project. There are more and more elderly people in the world. What does an aging population need? They already have monitoring of health in the watch. What they then need is a robot that helps them in everyday life; get out of bed, pick up the mail, monitor that they don't fall in the shower, etc., etc. Apple should focus on this. Not because it is easy, but precisely because it is not easy. The market is huge.
