My oldest brother suffers from Parkinson’s and is often seen as disabled or unintelligent because he has a difficult time expressing his thoughts and articulating them. Nothing could be further from the truth as he is sweet, kind, loving and the best older brother I could ever have been blessed with!! Thank you Dhar Mann for this very special and sensitive video!❤️

Omg this brings me back so many awful memories in highschool, I wasn't very good at drawing and didn't learn the stuff fast enough but I really loved art and wanted to be an artist, my art teacher would yell at me so much that I would be so scared to tackle larger projects because of making mistakes, this affected me greatly when I was going to art lessons after school, the teacher was really nice though. Now I'm learning architecture and I love it, but later on in life I would love to restart my art as a career though, made it a goal to reawaken my creative side.

This one hit really close to my heart. My grandmother, aunt and uncle all had Parkinson's and now I believe my grandfather has developed a late onset of it too. My aunt was an incredible artist. Her drawings were amazing. My uncle was into aviation and my grandmother was just the most cheerful woman I knew. My brother has Autism as well and he's so smart. It really makes my blood boil when I see people treating those living with a disability badly. They're often the most creative, smartest people you'll ever meet. This is why I love your videos Dhar Mann. The messages you're spreading are lessons the world desperately needs to learn.

Now this is one of the things that I LOVE about art and why I’m so drawn to it.
Art is subjective, there isn’t a correct way to do things when it comes to art. Whether it be sculpting, dance, drawing, paint, etc. You can literally just draw a bunch of squiggles and it is art. You can express how you are feel through your art and no one else will know the true meaning behind it other then you, they can guess sure but you are the only one that will truly know. I’m not that good at drawing myself mostly because I’m unable to practice much, but what inspires me is that all these famous artists we know and love today, were once regular people like us. Infact most of them lived on the streets even and didn’t even make a dime and their art was considered not good, ugly, untalented etc, but now look at their pieces.. they sell for billions of dollars.
There is absolutely no right or wrong way and there are no rules to it.
What matters in art if you draw or do anything is it’s only art if you say it’s art and no one else. All that matters is YOUR opinion because it’s your creation… not anyone else’s.
That’s what I love about art.

@@ursosa8937 That means alot to me but it is true. Look at Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picaso, etc. Many of them didn’t even make a single dime and lived on the streets trying to sell their work. People thought they were untalented and just wasting their time back then. But today their art sells for billions even trillions of dollars, yes they may be poor when they were alive and it is known that art becomes more valuable once the artist is dead and gone.. but there are many artists today who I guantee faced the same struggles and now look at them. Made a living doing what they love. Many people may tell you that it’s ugly, you can’t do it, or your not doing it right. But that’s when you look at them and ask “Really, I didn’t know there were certain rules I had to follow in art. Please go ahead teach me these rules.” They may try to tell you look at Van Gogh or Pablo their paintings sell. But that’s also when you say “Okay, did you know people told them the exact same thing your telling me? But they didn’t listen and now they’re paintings are famous everywhere years later proving them wrong. So please, go do some research before you tell me I’m doing my art “wrong”.”
Because in art.. rules simply just don’t exist. And that’s what makes it beautiful.
I’m glad I was able to inspire you again.

When she had yelled at him because he got sauce on her painting. I actually cried. It hurt to watch someone be so rude to someone that couldn’t help it.

Me totally not having a bit of tears in my eyes while he was walking out of the gallery saying,''Sorry everybody ." And hopefully its not just me that I wanted to slap Mrs Renee SOOOOOOOOOOOO hard. As an artist, art doesn't have to be perfect and no one has to be good at it no matter you have a disability.

The way his friend roasted the teacher lady at the end is just brilliant! That's a really inspirational story. Even if you're not selling your paintings, doesn't mean your work was for nothing, especially if you're doing what you love, you should never stop.

I love art, and at one time I worked at an art museum here in Dallas, Texas, which made me happy because then I could see all of the amazing art work by really great artists. Seeing this episode was fantastic, because my mother had Parkinson's and dementia, and we lost her in 2020 a week before her birthday, and seeing this made me sad and happy at the same time, thank you Dhar Mann for this particular episode.
