SAAAAAME. My two great aunts, one of whom passed when I was a child and the other who is still kicking at 97 were sisters in both senses of the word (not nuns-- there's a difference). The representation is honestly disgusting. First of all, its been decades since corporal punishment was widely considered an acceptable form of punishment in Catholic school. Second of all, Benedictine nuns typically keep their hair completely covered instead of looking like Sister Addison Rae....
I totally get you. As somebody coming into the Church, nuns carry that motherly spirit. I am currently being taken care of by the nuns after my Protestant mother kicked me out for not giving up Catholicism.

Me too
I agree
This is a bad representation of what it's like to go to a Catholic all-girls school. I actually went to one for high school, and I've known some very nice nuns. I've never felt like I couldn't be myself at school because of the nuns. My school was sponsored by nuns, and it was a positive atmosphere where girls were encouraged to study hard, explore our interests, and achieve great things. The school was focused on women's empowerment and helping us become confident successful women. They let us wear makeup and nail polish, and weren't as strict as this video shows. Sure, we had to wear the uniform and not do anything immoral (like drugs, alcohol, etc.), but it's a good thing they had some moral standards for us. I don't think this video represents Catholic schools well. I don't think a video like this would have been made about Muslim or Jewish schools, yet they have similar values as Catholics. It seems like in the media misrepresenting Catholics is something nobody cares about, but ohhh we can't offend Jews and Muslims, so we won't portray them badly. This video unfairly portrays Catholics in a bad way. Not all nuns who work in schools are mean and nit-picky. Also, nobody should be talking and passing out flyers for an event in the middle of Mass. It wasn't unreasonable for the nun to get upset about that. Some strict behavior by nuns makes sense, but a lot of the strictness shown here isn't stuff Catholic school teachers actually get upset about. There's nothing wrong with being Catholic and believing in women's empowerment, as long as it's not sin disguised as "women's empowerment."
YES 100% AGREE
Yes I agree, the video was full of movie stereotypes (fyi Iâm not Catholic).
Agreed! Honestly I didn't like this episode at all
I went to a catholic elementary and middle school for both boys and girls. . 1/3 of school staff were nuns. They were strict and tehre were a few I didn't like but they were fairly reasonable and would never act like this. Our school might have been stricter on uniforms than yours since we couldn't have dyed hair, nail polish or make up but this was preschool through 8th grade. I think a long time ago there were catholic schools in europe and maybe north america with really cruel nuns which is where this stereotype comes from but this is not the norm today. there surely would be lawsuits

@@diegode415 the video said she was 17 right? A google search shows 7 states allow 17 year olds to drop out of high school without parental consent. This was a challenging story to watch. It is difficult finding a balance between conformity and freedom of expression. In my country, school uniforms create a sense of equality among students. We know that, not all families are well-to-do, so it at-least makes the kids feel less insecure about their clothes. While uniforms may limit self-expression in terms of clothing, there are other ways that students can express themselves, such as through their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and personal interests.

I go to a Christian school and it is nothing like this.
My school is great and the teachers are amazing
Itâs called being woke. In a Christian school, what the main character did would be unacceptable.
But because of todays woke society, they are trying to push wokeness into schools and religion
having dhar man + just gives me those best feelings

how do you have a dhar mann??? like dhar mann's mom when she was in labor or something like that???
This is so offensive the nun is doing her job, it Is a school dress code it isnât like you canât wear what you want out in public
âI am so sad that I canât wear revealing clothes at a Christian schoolâ đ
Funny how the nun tells Vivian that sheâs rebellious and immoderate when sheâs wearing lipstick.
6:00 its for the greater good meme
It was lokey poggers
6:29 thatâs called dry drowning

Weâre not just changing lives, weâre offending nuns.
9:20 So first parents kicked her out but now they are supporting her???
In certain environments and situations the nun is actually right. Look at what this girl wore to church at a private Catholic school where the teachers are nuns

See I actually agree with the nun. Mass is not for socializing, itâs for the worship of God
I donât get what the moral of this video is, teaching teens that they shouldnât abide the dress code or that nuns are evil?
We're not just telling stories! We're encouraging kids to be defiant!
It's okay to be you, just don't be yourself when it's inconvenient
@Your_Local_Idiot Yeah! I agree! If being yourself has a negative impact on society and yourself, please don't be yourself. For example: If being racist, throwing tantrums in public, calling the police for no reason and going off when something doesn't go your way is who you are as a person.........please don't be yourself.
My mother use to say when you live up to other people's expectations you will not have the happiness in your life instead do the things you love because it's the way you want to be so it's okay to different even if you're disliked as long as your happy you will succeed in life so make your life the best cause you only have one âșïž hope I have made you feel more confident in your dreams đđ
encouraging humans to be themselves, absolutely. Defiance is a construct of a culture no one is happy in =)
@@rianlynn3854 then perhaps change your surroundings. You can't expect a whole system to conform to your beliefs
