HOW TO WASH YOUR HAIR AFTER A HAIR TRANSPLANT? | HEVA CLINIC

1- It’s important to allow the scalp to heal and the transplanted hair follicles to settle in place for at least 24 hours before washing your hair after the hair transplant surgery.
2- You can use a spray bottle filled with lukewarm water to wet your head pre-shampooing. Avoid hot water by all means, as it can cause swelling or discomfort on the scalp.
3- Using the shampoo recommended by your hair transplant surgeon is crucial. A harsh shampoo or soap may cause damage to the freshly transplanted grafts. Apply the shampoo/foam very gently with your fingertips, and massage it carefully onto the scalp without rubbing or scratching.
4- Rinse off the shampoo thoroughly with lukewarm water. If using a shower head, make sure the water pressure is very gentle. Don't use other hair products that haven’t been recommended by your surgeon at this stage.
5- Pat your scalp dry with a soft towel, or better, leave it to dry naturally.
