- *Disclaimer: This video is not intended to give medical advice. If your post-op instructions from your surgeon are different. Always follow your surgeon's instructions.
For the first three days, DO NOT TOUCH THE RECIPIENT. Leave it as is. The grafts are the most vulnerable in the first three days.
After the third day, you will begin washing your hair as directed in the video. Make sure you use either shampoo provided to you by the clinic or baby shampoo. Do not use any harsh shampoo like Nizoral.
You can resume using Nizoral and regular shampoo after the grafts have shed. Do not use any tight beanies, caps, wave caps for the first two weeks. If you need to go outside, make sure you wear a loose cap. If you have any questions or want to suggest another topic for a video, please let me know in the comments section.

The best way to determine the number of grafts you need and your hair quality is to submit as many consultations as possible. Feel free to submit your photos to one of our recommended surgeons that have been approved based on positive patient reviews and not marketing below:

Excellent advice as always Melvin. Thanks for sharing mate!
Very informative, thank you!
The most helpful video found online, thank you so much
Appreciate that 🙏
I've never had a transplant nor do I know anyone who has had one, and I'm not even sure why or how I came across this video, but this was informative for me so I'm sure people who are going through this really appreciates this video.
🙏🏼
I have one question. I feel like the recipient area is really "tight". Should I hydrate it or will that clog the follicles?
Hey, when did you start using your regular shampoo again?

Hi after 2 months how can I wash my hair and how mony day per weak washing my hair Please ?
How's it goin with oral minox
These are very good and informative videos man. What is your opinion on prp treatment after hair transplant? Is it beneficial or not?
It depends. It can be beneficial but depends on the surgeon.
@@HairTransplantNetwork Thanks for the reply. You are doing an awesome job here.
Thank you this video was very helpful. On June 4,2024 I received a F.U.E hair transplant 1606 hair grafts were used. Your video was very helpful to me because this morning is my first hair wash to clean donor area & not recipient area.
Glad I could help 🙏
I had the situation you show at min. 4.20 after 4 days... is it normal? Looking at it seems there are no grafts between the scabs in those "streets".. I don't know how to explain

What about recommended hair products to use after three months of your FUE operation?
I’m creating that video now as we speak
.
Hey man, its been 3 weeks since my transplant. Can i rub my scalp in the shower?
Hey there HTN,
I'm 26 years old have longer hair but have been thinning quite rapidly in the front and the crown, area. I'm looking to possibly get a transplant but researching this stuff is totally new to me and I'm kind of lost of where to start exactly. I also tried signing up for the first time on the forum but got instantly banned right on sign up for some odd reason. I'm also from California, specifically the LA & OC area, and really unsure of what places are reliable or where to start. Also if I can still get a transplant without shaving my head completely bald.
How did you get instantly banned? Im the only one who bans people, and it’s only spammers. Please sign up again, if you have an issue, please email me service@hairtransplantnetwork.com
Hey dude, I’m also from the OC/LA area. I’m 31 and recently got a transplant. If I were you, idk how bad your recession is but I know that I’ve been using 5-a reductase inhibitors for the longest and that maintained my hair loss for the longest. You can def get a HT with your hair long so that you can cover it the HT. Personally, I didn’t care who knew I got a HT so I had it shaved. First, I’d make an appointment with a dermatologist to see if you can prevent and possibly get any thickening of hair with finasteride, derma rolling, and a topical anti androgen. I’d try that first to see if you could get any growth out of that. Worst case scenario you maintained loss and can now rule out possible alt treatments and go for a HT
Thanks mate that’s very kind of you, what about after the 7 days how to go about it
After seven days as long as you don't have scabs you can resume washing your hair regularly. If you have scabs, wait until 10 days to wash your hair regularly.
@@HairTransplantNetwork So 10th Day is the Maximum one needs to wait before resume to shampoo Hair Normally as he used to before the Hair Transplant Procedure ? is it ?
@@augustya7543 I just got a hair transplant. Dr said after about 16 days
Whats wrong with just using baby shampoo for an extended period of time?
When would we want to remove scabs?
After day 7
*May peace be upon you for giving us some valuable advice* 🇺🇸💞
🙏🏼
Hi there, After the 10th wash I continue to wash my hair once a day because it’s very itchy. Is that a good thing? I’m 1 month and a half in…
Itching is a natural part of healing, but at one month and a half, it’s probably because of ingrown hairs. Do you have pimples on your scalp?
@@HairTransplantNetwork No, I don’t have any pimples on my scalp. I wash my hair everyday, should I continue to do so? Thank you very much for answering.
What happens if the hairs are washed after longtime like 30 days
Nothing you should wash them by that time
When can i start to drink large amount of alcohol? Like 6-7 pints of beer. 4-5 drinks of spirits like Voka, Whiskey etc? And what about smoking like 10 cigarettes a day?
Probably a month after, I would stop smoking as much, smoking affects blood flow.
@@HairTransplantNetwork and alcohol doesnt?
How did you wash your hair first ten days before scab removal day.?
Exactly how I show in this video
How long did you keep the shampoo or lotion on first 10 days . I spoke to someone they said they put shampoo on.for 40 minutes to soak . My clinic said wash like you said but put shampoo for 5 minutes only. What's you make of that ?
Hey there
When can I use the full pressure of my shower head for my hair ?
Around two weeks
Okay thanks 🙏
i waited 72 hours for my first shampoo wash is that okay
As long as it wasn’t with running water
You are handsome as hell. 🦁
What about the gym? When can you work out?
If you have FUT you should wait 6 months before doing any heavy lifting. If you have FUE you can resume after two weeks.
Bro, if I have retrograde alopecia will I go bald similarly to male pattern baldness or it's only restricted to the sides and napes?
It depends, it can be just the nape. Do you have diffuse hair loss?
@@HairTransplantNetwork I dunno bro, I just lose my sideburns and sides more than my napes, I also lose my frontal hair

Hard to say without pictures.
Use saline spray not hair conditioner and dont rub off the scabs they will fall off naturally otherwise you risk damaging/losing the implanted grafts. 😊
So i also read that by day 10 u shouldn’t be having those scabs cuz they also affect the newly implanted grafts. So u gotta remove them already by the 10th day
Cold water
