  • Installing a stereo on a Harley has never been so EASY! In this video, I installed the Rockford Fosgate stage 3, 6 speaker kit on a Harley Davidson Road Glide. This Kit allows the installation of 6.5" Rear and Fairing Speakers, and 6x9 Baglid Speakers on Street Glide and Road Glide models. In another video, I installed the Harley Davidson rear speaker enclosure kit, so make sure to check that video out for the full install.

    Outstanding Tutorial! Installed this system on my 2020 RoadGlide Limited and followed video step by step and only changed a couple of things. I found it easier to remove the Power Harness plug, feed the wires then reattach the power harness plug. Your attention to detail right down to what size tools to use made it so easy! You Are the man! Thanks for the time you put into this video and sharing it.

    Great video and channel. I installed the same system, minus the tour pack, on my '21 RGS. I used a couple of other good videos available for reference and tips and they certainly helped but, I wish I had your video available bcs it seems you incorporated the best of each and it was definitely more entertaining and helpful. @@RAIDERWORLD I am waiting to decide on mine as well...I had hoped to see a number of different options at Biketoberfest, but ended up getting caught up in festivities and never really got around to it....I have helped a few guys do the Rockford system and its AWESOME for someone that wants to tackle it at home and not go crazy on the investment side...you get a LOT of improvement and not tie up significant funds in labor since its pretty easy to install if you are patient. Hardest part is tucking all the extra cable under that fairing and digging around under the ECM getting to the battery for me.... :D I really took my time each time I have done it, so I KNOW you have a lotta hours creating this from all the different angles.. :D Next time I make it down to Tampa area I'd love to meet up and grab a beer brudda!!

    Awesome install video. I installed a similar RF system in my 2017 RGS in 2018. I changed to a Sony head unit in 2020 and love the audio now. Was weird cutting into the lids for the speakers, but their template made it easier to manage.
    But I must admit, my stomach tightened when I saw you drilling into the rear of your bags, face down on that wooden table without something under them to protect the paint. 😶

    • @RAIDERWORLD
      @RAIDERWORLD  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank You! They definitely made it easy to install, just a lot of disassembling and reassembling. Haha! Yeah, I’ve had a few comments about that. I usually have a pad down, but that table has a gloss finish to it, so painted parts are pretty safe on it. I’ve never had any problems with scratches. Any other table in my shop, I would definitely put a pad down.

      So I have an 18 Roadglide Special but don't have the tour pack speakers, just the chopped tour pack. I'm sure getting the wrap around pad and speaker pods is no big deal, but does it change anything when you disconnect the tour pack as far as the complete system sounds? I know some setups have issues if everything isn't connected in unison? Kevin 👊 👊 👊

    • @RAIDERWORLD

      So they do recommend to flash the Radio before you do the install. Does the Radio work at all? If anything, disconnect the splitter to the main factory radio wiring harness inside the fairing and just plug in your factory. Have them flash it, then reconnect the Rockford radio harness.
