I hope UP will do a more creative theme, to be honest yung mga performances nila in the recent years lacked creativity na. But I'm really excited for the new UP pep squad however handa na uli ako masaktan lol.

Iba ang energy ng UP ngayon. Pero siyempre marami pa din silang kakainin. Miss ko na yung glory days nila. Sobrang di pinag-isipan yung theme last season.

I looked into the scoring of the cheerdance performances. One thing na sa tingin ko na dapat mapaltan ay yung sa dance, choreography (which is under the dance score) should be given higher points. Kaya nga sya ginawang 50:50 cheer:dance.
Kaya pala mejo underscored yung mga teams na magaling sa dance, kasi equal lang ang choreo sa ibang factors na for me ay less important. The scoring should highlight creativity kasi dance is also an art.
dance is already 400 pts. while the other elements are only 100 pts each (Pyramids, Stunts, Tosses and Tumblings). Dance is already given a higher points. They also need to separate who's excelling in cheer elements since it is still a cheer competition.
@@kanestrauss3779 Di yata clear ang paliwanag ko. Choreo is part of dance. it is just 25% katulad ng ibang 3 subcriteria. Kaya kahit sobrang galing ng choreo, it wouldn't matter largely.
@@janjamesramos247 sana 30% man lang kasi pag 25% choreo tas the rest is sub parang 50:50 din sa dance sa cheerleading traditional dance and genre dance .Tho which is good naman dahil na showcase yung traditional basic cheerleading hand movements ,body placements,formations,transition,cheerleading dance and motion to skill from level 1-6,at yung genre dance na diverse from any different genre ;both combined ito yung key ng NU winning from 2013-present sinfe tge change ng scoresheet.

Pero thanks sa response. ang pinaglalaban ko kasi ay may mga teams na di naman maganda or unique dance nila, sabay sabay lang pero they get high points. For example, AdU previously, parang nakulangan talaga ako tapos mataas score nila sa dance? Sorry AdU. Dahil ba sabay sabay lang mataas na ang scores? Okay ako sa traditional dance, ang sakin lang kung alin yung impactful na dance dapat yun ang mas mataas ang points hindi dahil dinaan sa transitions at synchronicity.
Kaya kasi ginawang 50% is para ibalance yung universities na hindi capable sa gymnastics or technical cheerleading. It was supposed to be more entertaining din unlike cheerleading lang. Ang nangyayari ngaun kung sinong magaling sa cheer pinapaboran na rin sa dance. You can see these sa score sheets sa mga nakaraang taon.
PS Hindi pala ako cheerleader, audience lang ako. lol
Actually lugi pa nga ang NU dahil only 50% ang cheer part tas hahatiin pa sa 4 na cheer elements na tig 100 points ang maximum na kailangang i-hit ng mga squads especially NU.
Dance on the other hand is 400 pts already. Choreography, execution, overall impression and technique are equally distributed in 4 seperate judges. Luging lugi ang squads na excel sa cheerleading (NU, UE, etc) na pinapaboran ang squads na excel sa dance category (traditional 3 squads, FEU, UP, UST).
Dance is quite unfair to the least because what happened to NU 2017, UST 2019 has a graceful dance like Jazz, rhytmic gymnastic style routine tapos ang nagtotop sa dance category ay yung pang variety show, hip hop and pang ASAP na routine. Sana ung mga judges na naka assign next time sa DANCE CATEGORY ay hindi OLD STYLE na limit lang sa "HATAW STYLE" dance routine. Maraming styles ng dance and hindi nalilimit sa klaseng routine na puro high energy, high performance style. Yun lang napapansin ko kaya lugi ung mga dance elements like you said "CREATIVITY".

I think na since kaya naman mag dubs yung mga teams eh wag nang ibahin since nagagawa naman atsaka wala na tayong magagawa sa injury since inevitable ding mangyari yon atsaka atleast special yung uaap na deadmat pero kayang magexecute ng dubs sa floor hehehe.
@@theCSLPyroOfficial d nakaka special ang mag tumble ng dub sa mats if you only knew how athletes need to endure broken ankles and achilles ,at tignan mo yung technique ng landing dahil deadmat mukhang mag snap yung knuckles ng feet nila ,less na nga kaya mag full mag dub pa sa international comp pag nag limp isang athlete auto floor cleared(tigil routine)need mag decide coach to redo or have alternate sa nag limp or injured mid routine.
@@theCSLPyroOfficial i will give you an insight kung paano nakakatulong mag cope sa international criteria ang changes ng UAAP esp sa Toss,way before 2019 tignan mo yung basket toss ng mga teams na nag trying hard to pull out an x out dub or step out dub or any combo ended illegal number of body positions ,ang sloppy ng pagka execute mid air at nakakatakot pag salo or pag hook ng thrower,look at 2019 ang linis ng majority ng team ksi nag adapt sa international criteria(ICU),d na panahon ng kupong2 University Kentucky era early 2000 yung mga pa dub na illegal number sa body position at mga doubles sa mat kung saan na inspired ang UAAP mostly,Uaap need to invest sa apparatus ng comp to ensure safety.Just drop my cents here,kung d afford mag spring mat or invest sa mats na quality to execute a double ala all star edi wag pa gawa sa mga athletes na prone sa injury.Ganun lang nothing special dun.
@@markkenranes5761 true naman din pero saatin kasi kahit injured talaga tuloy padin eh, di ko din alam dahil kasi yung concept ng cdc kasi ay something new pero (di ko muna sasabihing innovative) I think na ano more of sa conditioning at resilience ng athletes sa environment nila yon eh kaya nagagawa nila yon pero we may never know baka next year eh 100% ICU rules na sa cheer elements

Old rules specifically 2019 rules? Or yung 2018 backwards. Curious lang kasi sayang yung skills nung mga bata specially NU and UE pag tosses and skillls❤
Allowed po mag doubles if double full twist, pero ang bawal po yung mag exceed ng 2 body positions. Like step-out doubles, pike-split doubles etc.
@@danmancosa6634 yes which is good ,since nag changed rules sa basket ang linis at ang taas nanang majority ng teams sa baskes nila technique wise,sana sa tumbling rin if can't invest in spring mat please don't risk sa injury ang mga athletes,kung pagandahan ng pass man lang ,pwwde naman pa habaan at pa taasan ng difficult Sa especialty pass like imves straight dubs

Yung mga drummers na walang tigil habang naka break, NU At AdU mag sasapawan during the break during deliberation. Buti gagawin na ng paraan.
