This was great, thank you. I live in Wisconsin and we prune in March.
I love it. I have 3 Apple trees and a peach tree
Great info! Thanks for the video. I'm going to put this to use on my trees today!
This is exactly what I needed to research 😁 Glad I found this post 🎉🎉🎉 I subscribed to your channel and gave a like 👍 Thanks for sharing..
Really great information. Wish I had the property to go fruit trees. Tammy has the wicking garden beds too. ❤️🌺
You don't need much, dwarf fruit trees stay very small. I've got less than half an acre, but I've got 3 apple trees and loads of fruiting shrubs. Could fit more fruit trees if I wanted to
The Millennial Gardner has 60+ fruit trees in his standard housing development style house in his backyard. It can definitely be done in small space. I encourage everybody to grow fruit trees. Even if it's just a few.
Great info!!! Thank you. 🙏🏻
What year should you start pruning? Mine are 1 year old.
I started pruning when mine were a year old.
Some each year, of course more as it gets bigger. General 1/3.
What is Tammy's site called please
Green Thumb Nursery
If my Meyer lemon is blooming, is it the wrong time to prune? The tree is a tangled mess!
I'm sorry; I don't grow that (would love to). Maybe someone else can chime in!
Is it the same pruning method for all trees?
From what I've read, there are some nuances with different trees; you'd have to look up the specific tree.
Basically all fruiting trees is same general rules.
Is it ok to prune while in bloom?
I don't see why not, but as you can tell in the video, I'm an amateur fruit tree grower so definitely check me on that.
It’s better when dormant but it’s ok when it’s bloom but maybe prune less since it’s out of dormancy.
