I'm not sure why, but Floaroma Town hits me so hard with nostalgia. More so than any other track. It has this feel that I can't pinpoint. It throws me way back into the simplistic mindset of my past, my eight year old self. It's something about this town and the Valley Windworks east of it. Going north into the trees and battling Team Galactic. Flowers for miles. As pointless as this town is (in comparison to the entirety of the game), Floaroma has a place deep in my heart.
+L. Swaggett Same here. I really like the music of this town too. Everytime I hear this music I imagine I'm in a quiet graveyard remembering one of my beloved ones that died.
You wrote this so long ago but, bro I'm so happy that someone shares this feeling! Like it makes me so mad that I can't explain how this town and track whips me into the sweetest place in my childhood lol
This one also hits hard for me. I remember all my Pokemon were low and I thought I had so much more of the route to go, yet Floarama showed up just after the worst battles of it all and the sense of safety was overwhelming. Back then it was overwhelming, and it is still now.
its 100 percent the jazz roots, they hit all the sweet spots with the melody, and even use a (false?) cadence at the end to further bring you into the feeling that it will just keep going on… I love music that has the “cliche” melancholic vibes, and this that
I remember falling asleep to this on headphones connected to my nintendo ds. I would wake up to find out my ds ran out of battery so I'd connect it to a charger before going to school. can't describe the nostalgia well.. but I'm so grateful that I have memories like this, I really am.
A confession guys: this music helps me from my panic attacks, and most especially, depression. Thanks Junichi for creating such a masterpiece! I do appreciate this so much.
Pokemon Diamond was the first game I ever played, ever, and I remember when I first came into Floaroma Town and found the huge flower field by going into the entrance in the top left, I just went into the middle of the whole field and just sat there, putting down my DS and sitting back, listening to the calming tune for what felt like hours. It was the first time I had truly noticed the music, instead of pushing the B Button as hard as I could and racing through the town like the others. What goddamn nostalgia.
Pokemon Platinum was my first true Pokemon experience and I savor every moment I got to spend in these lush, carefully crafted worlds. This is peak Pokemon. Everything from the beautiful melodies that plays in the towns to the lively, animated sprites that play in battles. There's nothing else in the Pokemon franchise that brings you closer to feeling as if you're in Floaroma Town, clenching a Pokeball and breathing in a deep whiff of the flowery aroma of Floaroma. Perfection. This song in particular brings me back to Summer 2009 when I would ride along in the car with my Mom with my DS lite cracked open to let this song's melody dance out of the speakers. She loved this song, it reminded her of growing up in the south and as she was telling me that her skull implant fell out
I restarted my Platinum game a few days ago, and I completely forgot how much I loved it. The music is just extraordinarily amazing. After listening to Floaroma Town's music well, it reminded me of Lilly Satou, from Katawa Shoujo.I don't know, it's just fitting to her. If you guys know what I'm talking about, I love you.
remember as a kid getting stuck hours because i didn’t saw the entry on the top left corner and when i finally found it i was just angry at myself for being so dumb and so happy to finally be able to continue the game haha
I wish I had back all that excitement of when I first played Pokemon I was a confused little trainer (love that feeling), trying to help a little girl get her dad back...it was one of the best moments in that game for me... This song that's playing right now, is helping me express my feelings ^^ (plz no haters!)
This really was my favourite town in Pokemon diamond, which was the first Pokemon I'd ever played. I'd beaten the elite 4, and just when I thought to put the game down out of boredom, I'd come back to floaroma. I remember I used to ride my bike in time to the beat of the music in the flower fields :'). This was about 2 or 3 years ago, and I didn't realize how much It'd affect me hearing this music again. I admit it brought a tear to my eye. One of my favourite memories, truly.
When I first played this game when I was about 9 or 10, I didn't like this town or this song. I wanted to have the adventure keep going and not have a place to relax such as Floroma town. But now, just 5 years later, I find comfort in this one. Such a comforting piece, something that Sinnoh has a lot of and I'm able to appreciate that now
I don't know much about Pokemon, but I hate it when people hate on things that other people love, and even make people emotional. Whoever thinks that anyone who likes gen 4 is stupid, should keep their thoughts to themselves. It can hurt others, and I personally love Pokemon Diamond.
I miss playing pokemon Diamond and Pearl, I haven't played in what seems like forever, and the new generation of pokemon isn't as good as the old one in my opinion :(
Platinum is my second favorite game. i love it so much! the music, pokemon, team galactic, story, towns and of course all the extra things you can do! i loved how they incorporated that you needed the 3 Regi's to activate Regigigas. it's one of my favorite stories from when i had finished the game. i had to go back to my ruby game and acquire the 3 Regi's and spend a lot of time catching the waillord and reilishant (can't spell it right), so i could open the caves. youtube helped a lot
Th... This just made me cry ;__; It was also my first DS game... My first Pokémon game... And I was like 10 and it was Sunay and I stayed up until 6 in the morning. Then I said I was sick and stayed at home playing the whole day, too...
LOVED this town when I was younger, since my mom was really into flowers and such. (For some reason, the music made me think of Whinnie The Pooh falling down the steps. XDDD )
my first wass ruby in 04, and anyone who says diamond was a complete failure is wrong, its one of the most well rounded poklemon games in the series, also caves manage not to be boring on this game.
me too and i lost it :(:(:(:(:( sad face.(sobs) I cry all the time when (sobs) i listen to this. (sobs) it reminds me of(sobs) it. :( aww i remember the time I was wandering around floaroma town looking at all the wonderful flowers.(sobs)
Do any of you older ones (15+) feel so.. old when there are comments saying that DPP was that person's first Pokemon game? I can't believe I was in fourth grade when Gen 4 came out. Tempis fugit..
Gen 4 is my favorite gen for some reason... It's music... The pokemon... They are so... Awesome. Maybe it's because Pearl was my first pokemon game. But whenever i see a sinnoh pokemon. Or hear the music from the game. I get a strange nostalgia feel. Witch is strange considering i only played this game... What. 3-2 Years ago? I. Of course, love all the generations. But 4 is my fav for some reason. Don't hate. I'm just saying that this gen is my favorite. But i still love all the others. Too.
If anything, that should be their final version if they every quit (I hope they dont) It would start from the very beginning, and keep progressing! They would (maybe) make you create your own character, because a boy/girl trainer looking different each time you play a new region would be a bit awkward, bit hey, this would be a great game!
I want to learn how to play this on the harmonica :0 I'm just starting out and realized playing it is easier than I originally assumed. The instrument had been lying around for a while, was my dad's before he handed it to me quite recently. The last few months that it has been in my possession this song has frequently come to mind, I just know it would sound very nice or at least interesting if played on that instrument. So I have now taken up the courage to practice. I think something that would help would to have the Uh Sheet? The sheet, or notes for this song. To have that available. So that I can practice on it from time to time to see if I get it right. If anyone knows where I could find it I would love to know. -Sincerely, J. P. :)
@UCfUwbeeWMjBj7D1MLXUr81A Thanks man, cause of procrastination and other things that have come up I haven't just yet gotten around to finding this. Thank you so much for reminding me! I'll get to work right away >:)
Just to let you know, people never said that 4th gen was a failure. Its just considered the worst in the series. Doesn't mean that its a bad game, just not the best either. I've started playing Pokemon way back in the Pokemon Red/Blue days. And trust me, it does feel as if Pokemon D/P is where it was going down hill for lots of reasons.
Actually, some places and musics in the Jotho remakes weren't there in the orginal opus on gameboy - like Ho-oH, Lugia, or 46/47 road. Yet those same haters do recognize that they like those addons, though, by definition, those are completely original 4th G made. Haters gonna hate... (PS: and i'm a pokemon fan since red/blue/yellow. So eat my dust, suckers >:D)
@@bruh60297 My sincerest aplogies but i do not seem to recall you in the slightest. Is it possible to explain me how we've come to supposedly now one another ?
as mentioned in A Garbage Guide To Pokemon Platinum - We move through here and reach Flower Power Tower Town, a city famous for it's....*zooms in on flowers*...porn industry
Now there's where I agree with you. Silver was a great game. Best of the bunch. All I was saying is it seemed like you were telling people not to like d/p/p.

Windmills too

@@asdqwe_9381 u say that but i stay in that town just to let the song end 😂
Actually, It couldn't be called a town If It just had two houses there. Remember, in anime, Floaroma also have contest hall.

It's so adorable and innocently romantic sounding, like with a Disney rabbit couple or Minnie and Mickey

Welcome to Flaroma Town! The town of flowers, flowers and more flowers! You should plant some flowers of your own, too! Yay for flowers!
I'm still in love with Gen. 1. Even though the first game I played was Leaf Green when it came out, it hooked me on Pokemon.

Pokémon Diamond.
1ST DS GAME EVER THAT I OWNED

Also it would be great if you can chose what your character looks like and you can talk with your own voice to people
My favourite generation was 3rd, my first was 2nd and i think the best is 4th.
good job man, but could you please make an extension for the night version of this music? I find it's actually more smoothing and calming, isn't it ?

In the remakes, there are two NPCs here who will give you either Jirachi or Mew.
😍
gen 3 4 and 5 where all good generations that get hate for stupid reasons
This Song Remember Me Peach's Gardens For Mario Kart DS & Wii!
And Remember Me Kaori Nose The Florist Of Akebono City From Ryukendo!

Although I misspelled the word "Sunday" ^^
