Dude, that sleep mode tip helped tremendously, it should say power, LOL
Man, I agree 100%. Glad I could help.
Thanks Moni for this setup, Jérôme from France
Glad to help!
Thank God, I finally found this combination!!! Thank you very much.
Awesome. I'm glad the video helped.
I’m waiting for my rs2 to arrive, this is the exact detail I needed. Thank you. Great content. Subbed!
Thank you. I'm glad I could help.
didn't know about the base expansion kit, thanks for taking the time to make the video, nciely demonstrated and easy to follow
Thank you for the comment! Glad I could help.

amazing video boss, love the content
Thank you. That is very much appreciated.
That sleep button... Thanks a lot man ^^
Absolutely! I thought I had a dud at first.
Excellent video.
Thank you!
Tanks for this video cool tanks very
Thanks for watching!
Nice.
Thank you!
Hey man! The content is great but you should rethink the black background in my opinion, it's not comfortable to look at, making it dark grey-grey would be a hell lot better!
Thank you! That's very good advice. I do have a gray and a white background hanging from the roller system behind me. I also have shelving and other things that I'm trying. I can agree with what you're saying, especially because a lighter background would create more contrast with my hair and skin tone.
Or adding a rim light that helps to seperate head from the black. I think black background is fine but I wish to see the subject more clearly.
Great advice! If you check my more recent videos you may notice I've added a rim light for exactly that reason.
Nice video, and I just know someone would complain about the background 🤣 other than that, it’s a good one thx for sharing
@@SkyZHA0 Thank you for the feedback!
Great video Moni! Very helpful. I'm looking for this type of setup to work with an Easyrig. Please let me know if this will work well with an Easyrig. Thanks!
I don't believe this particular setup will work with an EasyRig considering there is no good place to connect the EasyRig cord. You could connect at the top of the left handle with the twist grip in underslung mode but that leaves you sort of an "unbalanced" situation for where your hands can grip the gimbal. I could be wrong though.
Great review, Moni! That totally convinced me to grab an RS2. In the past when I have tried dual grips on my Ronin-S I noticed a slight lag in pan time versus using the center grip. Do you find any lag in your pans with the 2 handed set up versus the single, or is it pretty much the same?
Thank you! I honestly haven't compared pan lag using one-handed or two-handed grips. I would assume that perceived lag is caused by the fact it requires more effort/rotation by the operator with a two-handed grip to get the same result. But, I have found that regardless of the grip I use I've had to adjust the Dead pan and overall response in the settings to get the look that I wanted. Have you adjusted yours?
@@MoniJohnson I didn't because on my two handed grip, the lack of controls always kept me from really investing in operating this way. That handle with the controls in it looks awesome, so I will probably really dive deep into that once I get it
Ah! Makes total sense! Btw, you can get that extra handle without purchasing the whole Base Kit. I should update the description to reflect that.
On the tethered controller, when you hold down the trigger, does lock the gimbal ? Like the actual trigger does ? Mine does not
Super sick helpful video .. addressed a lot I was thinking about except I wish you’d also attached the control to the rear operation (or briefcase mode) .. like what’s the move for having focus control while in briefcase mode?
Ultimately, is the dream setup to have this and also the tilta rear operating control handle all rigged up simultaneously? and then.. how to get the center mounted monitor that accommodates all modes -oof. Sorry that’s where my brains at ! 😬
Thanks a lot! I have been using AF for a few years now, so I haven't looked at a manual focus control.
This rig was pretty much everything I needed. I've been able to position my phone (which I use with the RavenEye to monitor) on the right/stationary arm. This allows a minor rotation of the phone anytime I switch from "regular" mode to briefcase. I love what Tilta has to offer though. I've been tempted to get a few of their car rig modules.
Thanks for this video. Do you know if it is possible to mount the phone holder with the dual handles attached? Thx
You cannot mount the phone holder onto the NATO (sp?) mount (because that's used for the handle arms) but you can mount the phone holder directly onto one of the handles, as they have standard mounting holes on them.
Very nice video .Well done you voice is nice to ear, the sound is perfect. but black background on black objets not the best choice. but thanks. You have a new follower
Thanks for the comment and the sub! I completely agree about the black background not being a great selection for this video.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you
Hi can it be used to control forcusing. Thanks
Yes, but that depends on your camera.
Sweet! Are you considering the Tilta ring system for the RS2 or are you going to stick with DJI?
Definitely looking into everything Tilta if the price is right. The promos of what they are offering make me salivate. Trying to build my own cloud mount this weekend (if the last 2 parts come in), btw.
I went in the opposite direction and went with SmallRig’s Mini Top Handle. I’ve been watching a lot of Mark Bone and I’m focusing on more handheld stuff for now. :)
Makes sense. I need to get more practice/comfortable handheld.
@@MoniJohnson I like Mark Bone’s content. He has some good points.

Cool. I'll check him out!
pity you didn't setup and test the focus motor function
Yes sir. That would have been beneficial, I'm sure. However, I don't trust my eyes more than my camera's autofocus, So I'm just sitting on a focus module I don't even use.
@@MoniJohnson What about fully 'manual' cine like lens?
I don't use any manual lenses. Gave up on them years ago after learning I couldn't trust my vision. Things might look like they're in focus to me but there's always a good chance that they are not. My latest cameras do have focus peaking and other tools like that built in but the autofocus works so well that I just stick with what the camera can do. Of course, all I shoot is music videos and short films. Your needs might be more professional.
Good video in information, the black backdrop did not do you justice and it seems like you were looking more at a monitor instead of straight into the camera.
Thanks. I probably was looking into one of my monitors. Always checking my framing (yet still getting it wrong!). The black backdrop has been put on reserve, btw. The feedback is very appreciated!
Nice setup. However, DJI needs to do a better job at being creative. There are other products that are better than DJI and sometimes even cheaper.
Thank you.
