WHALE WATCHING IN HUSAVIK, ICELAND - DAY 6 - PART 2

- We arrived at Husavik around 3 pm and we booked a 3 hour whale watching tour for 5 pm which returns at 8 pm. We didn't expect much but we were nicely surprised how exciting the tour was and how many whales we saw. It was truly an amazing experience and we definitely recommend it!! We booked our tickets ($80 pp) with North Star Tour which is family owned since 1990's. After the tour, we continued our drive to lake Myvatn and Detifoss Waterfall which is coming up in our day 6 part 3 video upload coming up soon.

Do you take direct flight to Husavik? Or drive from Reykjavik?
we drove from Reykjavik but we stayed overnight at Isafjordur and the next day continued driving to Hofsos where we stayed for the night; the next day we drove to to Akureyri and then Husavik.
there is a shorter way to drive from Reykjavik to Akureyri and Husavik as well but we wanted to explore the country so took the longer way around the coastline which took about 2 days
@@DylanBrianVlogs I see! Do you know if there’s any camping site in Husavik during winter?
