And so we enter the dying days of Australia’s longest running quiz show. Steve Oemcke seemed like a nice enough person, but he really wasn't suited to this type of presenting and definitely lacked that "viewer connection" that Rob Elliot had. It was a shame too after such a great 2003 season with the 22nd anniversary state challenge, celebrity specials, home viewer competitions, introuduction of the mystery wedge etc. The show MIGHT have made it to 2010 if Rob was kept on for the touch screen era and they'd started offering more monetary prizes to contestants instead of just cheap home living items

I agree too James, if he would have stayed in the 2010's era. They would have decided to add monetary prizes instead of the cheap home living items, and the New Cars from different Car Companies like (Nissan, Volkswagen, Mazda, Jeep, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Holden, Citroen, Peugeot, Suzuki, Ford, Skoda) or anything else.

@@braydensweatherquizzingcom4705 I think they should've kept Rob Elliot on when they replaced the trilons with touch screens (or at least have him formerly hand the show over to Larry Emdur if they couldn't keep Rob on beyond the 2005 season), played for cash prizes of $500, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000 for puzzle-solving in the respective rounds (similar to the home viewer prizes in the 22nd anniversary state challenge, but keep the scoring system the same of course), and offer a fixed daily jackpot of $100,000. Also, instead of flip-ups and prize puzzles, i'd bring back the Bonus wedge and have it be a cash prize of $1,000, and have it in play from round 1-onwards, rather than round 2-onwards

As a Wheel of Fortune fan, I was bitterly disappointed to see Rob Elliot being axed as host. When Steve Oemcke took over he was asbsolutely dreadful and it was very hard to put up with his presenting style. He makes more mistakes.
But in 2006, Larry emdur took over as host. Larry does seem to have a much better passion with hosting game shows. However this show too late and this show got the axe in middle of 2006
