Hi BATJACK JW!! I have added a few 9MM 1911 Pistols that I plan to cover over the next 12 months. I don’t have a 22LR 1911, but shooting a few 1911s in 9MM will save me hundreds of dollars. 💵 over 45ACP 1911 pistols. I have a Jet Black Beretta 92 M9 basic model coming for Summer 2024. I wanted to see how good a $680 Beretta 92 M9 is compared to our Military M9. More fun in 9mm coming soon. Stay safe my friend. 😊😎👍🇺🇸. Beretta SR.
I'm back. I have been a primary care giver for my Mom. Her pancreas failed on her and i had to help her with all her medicine and diabetes shoots. She is doing great now. It's been a year and a half, sense i got to watch your show again BATJAC J.W. Another great radio show Sir.
You can never remake the quality classics, ain't no one could do Dirty Harry like old Clint!!! Yes sir trial and error and taking time on fitting is key in all firearms projects. Smith complied with Clinton Era bs, Lipseys actually has a couple new exclusive ones that no longer have the key lock
I think this was one of your best Collectors Radio Talk J.W. You covered a lot and it was enjoyable. Your right about how fast time is passing and getting up tired some times and thinking ,were did this day go. So live each day the best you can and if you have a opportunity to move to another State ,do it you won't regret it. Its also good to have the right tools to work on your firearms to . I've scratched a couple guns using the wrong screwdriver . So they say right tool for the job! Thanks Slim.
Great show as usual! Did i hear a hint of a bluid Python in our future...can't wait. Tango and Cash is another good movie from that era. You got Stallone with the model 36 in this one. I cringe every time i see the hollywood flip being done to revolvers, lol.
Good Morning JW !! I have 6 S&W revolvers, and all have the safety hole. I don't like what the hole represents, but I love the guns nontheless. I would not get rid of any of them, even if I could get vintage ones without the holes (which is not possible living in Cal). That being said, my carry revolver is a Ruger LCR, and one of the many reasons I chose it, was that there was no lock to worry about.
Hey bud! You are getting grips from Thailand too huh? Been buying them from the same guy for several years now. I have short D frame grips for my Agent from him. Only thing I didn't like was how red they look, but now he makes darker brown grips, or at least he was. I just bought an ebony varnish pen and kept going over and over them until they got darker. I just got a Colt Pocket Positive from 1926 and even it didn't have the SN stamped inside the grips. I figured old Colts would too, but I guess that was a Smith & Wesson thing. His fake pearl looks outstanding these days. They get better and better and look more like real pearl as time goes on. Nice show bud! Have a great weekend!
Hey Batjac, My favourite actor is Toshiro Mifune and I know someone who met him. I have met Richard Norton who is a pretty cool guy. I agree with time flying by being 41 myself and just recently lost my dad. Beretta 9mm USA is one of the best reviewing videos. 10-8 performance is another great 1911 channel.
I haven't worked on a 1911 in long time. I got a minty Springfield slide and frame waiting for some work. I have always liked Wilson Combat parts but feel Ed Brown parts are the best for the money. Takes a lot of time and once you get a family it's hard to complete. The ability to change and modify 1911's is one of its most endearing aspects to me. It has helped to keep the 1911 relevant as long as it has I think.
I heard that in the late late 90's the company that bought out Smith & Wesson from Bangor Punta was a company called Saf-T-Lock or some such spelling. I have a feeling that was also a reason the out the locks on the new Smiths.

When S&W capitulated to Clinton I stopped purchasing new. If I want a S&W I look for the ole school models, pre Clinton BS
