Only Hickok45 could shoot a .30-30 revolver one handed and have it recoil so gracefully...
Honestly compared to the 500 mag or the 45-70, this revolver looks highly functional. Might be a good hunting option with a scope.
Poetry in motion!
I don't get how he does that.. even a .357 magnum is so snappy in my hands. Maybe I gotta roll with the shot more?
I have one. It's surprisingly similar to a 357 because the thing weighs more than an AR
yeah i was thinking the same ! lol
This has to be the best sounding handgun i've ever heard.
dont tempt me!
Its a true cannon and i love it
8:26 absolutely lovely
This is the equivalent of a muscle car with good exhaust
Video game sh*t.
I love the way the microphone just gives up when that handcannon goes off ❤
evrerything seems to slow down as well! or is it just me?
I had a piece of brass blow clean through my leg. I was in firing party with Honor Guard Company in the Old Guard. The guy to my right had a struck primer, when it ejected the round exploded after the fact and sent a piece of brass right through me. It was a blank, but never underestimate the power of the brass itself.

If Arizona ranger would have an iron this big, the people of Agua Fria would run in fear.
Years ago I worked in a gun shop that had several BFR's in stock, including one in .450 Marlin. People would ask what it was for. I'd look them on the eye and say as seriously as I could, "Leopard Seals"
runaway mandingos
@@foutoconnard4510😂 yep 👍🏻
@@foutoconnard4510Uhh.....either you don't know what Mandingo means or you're just blatantly racist as shit....
@foutoconnard4510 do you mean what I think you mean? And by that, I think you mean...slaves?
Inspector Callaghan is back
And that was a .44 Magnum as well, kiddo. That round can't hold a candle to a .30-30.
Got to love the Bullet Firing Revolver.
God I would LOVE to have a revolver like that. Not because it's particularly practical, but purely because of how badass it is.
1500 buck price range.
It's neat but pretty impractical. A 30-30 from a handgun barrel is weaker than a 44 magnum with the same length barrel.
@@iowa_lot_to_travel9471I like 200 range
@@catdaddy2643 💪🔥👍😁 long live Taurus and Rossi
You really need to buy a .357 Magnum before you buy this 30-30 BFR 🤠
BFR? Big F'ing Revovler?
I think that’s what it really means…😁
God dang, beat me to it 😂😂
Biggest finest revolver. But my buddy calls his bfr 410 big f$;king revolver!😮
@@buckeyebunnyhunter that’s the PC name they use in advertising. I think they call it a big f’ing revolver among themselves…😁
Big FRIENDLY revolver!
Yo!!! These are the revolvers the NCR Desert Rangers use!!! Nice! Love revolvers! .44 Big Iron is still my favourite! Besides.357!
Mine in 460. Purchased for fun and the variety of ammo that can be fired through it. Used for deer hunting and plinking. Love my six guns. The 460 chambering does recoil!!
I honestly think that’s the most logical chambering. 45 colt, 454 casull, and of course 460. The only other thing I’d consider is the 500 JRH in a short cylinder.
460 makes way more sense than a 45 70 or 30 30 with such a short barrel, you get so many lower energy rounds available in the .460 version too
If you're a handgun hunter, it has a purpose.
Why handgun hunt? Only reasons I can think of is if you're bored with long gun hunting? Not hating or anything just curious I've never hunted.
@gaychinee its a huge difference between rifle and handgun hunting hunting with a handgun is a big challenge the slightest grip movement can move the impact of your bullet way off most of us handgun hunters like the game up close and personal
Incredible peace and Hickok make it easy and smooth! Always admire the way he handles big bore revolvers . Lot of admiration for that guy.
I've been watching your videos for probably the last ten years and they almost always bring a big smile to my face, LOL Really enjoy watching how much fun you have making the 2-liters and other things explode, much like I do! The anti-gunners, and others, always concentrate on the "uses" of firearms, whether that be "assault weapons", self defense, or hunting. I've always felt the main purpose for most people is just having a relaxing, enjoyable time on the range, whether it's by yourself, with your kids, Dad (mine is still with us and shooting together is some of the best fun we have since we both gave up working on cars in the late 80's!) or close friends. Just relaxing therapy when you get done with all of your "have-to's". I haven't been able to get out to shoot much the last year or so but watching these helps a little.
I used to believe that when a round cooked off in a fire, the bullet didn’t go anywhere. On Dec 30 2023 my house caught fire. I lost 70 firearms, and three thousand rounds of 9mm, and 500 rounds of 308 I had purchased for my Christmas present. The next day my neighbor got in touch with me, and showed me a 308 boat tail bullet that had penetrated his bathroom window. It went through screen and 3 panes of glass plus my bedroom window on the way out. It had zero rifling and was the same type that was in the new case. So the bullet traveled 32 feet, and penetrated 4 panes of glass and one window screen. It didn’t tumble through any of it. He found it laying in his bathroom sink.
500 rounds going off all at once should be a lot more than just one cooking off alone. Ammo inside an ammo can should should explode more forcefully too since the can would contain the burn to let it build up before releasing.
I’m sorry that happened dude. Glad you’re alright though
@@svbarryduckworth628 it sounded like the 4th of July. Only one round was found to have caused any damage outside the home. If anything hit the inside walls of the home, that was the least of my problems. The room where they were stored was gutted by the fire. Who said anything about ammo cans? They were all in boxes.
Holy cow. Thats scary. Thank goodness no one was hurt. Well except you that had to replace it. Unless the insurance covered it. That's sucks.
Sure... You "lost" 70 firearms. I get ya 😉
Grandfather gave me an old Winchester model 94 in 30WCF aka 30-30. Great deer round.
Actually not you can get 30-30 in 180-200 grn !! You can now hunt anything with one rifle
Funny mine did too. Got my first deer with it!!
My very first hunting rifle was a Model 94.
My father bought it used, secretly reblued it & refinished the wood. It was his Christmas gift to me that year.
45 years later, I still cherish it.

That's awesome!
Same here, took 3 brown bear's over the years, single shot on all of em. One of my most prized possesion's.
Finally a gun which makes Hickok’s hands look smaller.
There’s a special place in my heart (and my gun collection) for the 30-30.
Finally my EDC is reviewed ! 😂
This man's accuracy is LEGENDARY!!!👍👍
God bless you🙏
A friend of mine had a (i think) contender in 30-06. We took it to a range, for him to try out. He was right handed. So I stood to the left of him and had to be at least 3 yards back. When he shot it knocked my baseball cap off. I just laughed at him when he asked me if I wanted to shoot it, lmao
thank u for all the videos in all the years you have posted. all are gold. thank u both!
Nice profile picture
I love magnum research
Thanks Hickock.
Ive so far resisted that handgun.
But it has stayed in the back of my mind since i first discovered it.
Looks like im gonna have to have one now.
Your having way too much fun with it.
Life is good
I owe it all to you ! I bought the one caliber in 45-70 with the 10-inch Barrel. From Buds Gun Shop and I love it!
I looked at one last week in Beaver, Utah.... what a beast! Lol
It really needs beautiful wooden grips
The BFR. Brought to you by the same folks who produce the Desert Eagle
I love Shape of this gun !!! In 454 Casull ( for 45 70 gòv i think its innapropriate like 30/30) ,but this FREEDOM its a real dream weapon since more of 30 year !!! Quality of Stainless is just a pure must .Stainless ROA looks a few like it ,,,,,
That’s funny. As a firefighter, I can’t tell you how many structure fires I went to where people had ammunition. All the hunters and gun guys didn’t worry about it-because without a barrel and/or chamber to direct the pressure the lead ball might pop off, but it isn’t going very far. There isn’t enough pressure. The people who didn’t know anything about guns (like the reporters) would make a big deal about it, especially if a box of shells pop off, they go running for cover while the firefighters just shrug their shoulders.
Propane tanks? That’s a different story, but bullets? Meh. They usually have them in a closet, drawer, or gun cabinet anyway.
I honestly laughed when I saw the size of it. Thought Hickok was hold Yosemite Sam's oversized guns. Lol!
😂😂
then imagine the size of it when its not held by a man as large as hickok
Hickok is a pretty big guy to my understanding and usually guns look small in his hands but this one really does look huge for him even
Now that’s a nice gun. Beautiful.
Awesome round.
Had a Thompson Center back in the 80s in 30-30. Impressive to shoot at night, that fireball was huge.
If ever I was to wake in a cold sweat from a nightmare I could not remember, well....; it could not be worse then being in your sights. You make shooting look so easy it is realy therapeutic to watch. 😊
I've seen know the owner of the shop where these are made and have seen them made. I can tell you with confidence they are made VERY well. They're made out of excellent steel and with the best cutting tools on the market.
Thats one Big Iron on the hip ;)
Shades of Marty Robbins.
This man is by far the best marksman in the CZcams universe.
Tight tolerances make for long life and even longer break in!! Too much for me....... i am pleased with my colts and s&w 357 mags!! 30-30 rifles are cool though!! 😎
Awesome! Love magnum research!
the way he just casually 1 hands it was so satisfying
Another beautiful piece
Awesome video and nice 30 30 gun thanks for sharing hickok45
Hey brother Hickok that is awesome, sweet for sure , I love my Winchester 30/30 , 😁that is real something.
God bless you brother 🙏🏼🕊️
I love to see orange price tags on everything but ammo is even better on some Remington👍 Thanks guys for the great work and the awesome channel
I had one of these in 475, what a cannon! Also, I've been to Pilager, MN :D
Loved your videos for years. God bless, Mr. Hickock45.
Wow! Impressive. Clint Eastwood will salivate watching this demo.
Love your videos. I go through AGI gunsmithing four classes. Stay safe and God Bless from Oklahoma
That's an awesome hand cannon there!
It makes such a beautiful sound
That is ridiculous… I want one.
Enjoy all your videos an the great infoe you put out there You have a great day an enjoy yourEaster coming up
Sounds great. Nice halo too.
I've never shot the 30/30 but do own a few of the others. The 500 S&W with full tilt hand loads can be painful (the bfr can take loads that are a bit rough on a smith). The 45/70 is comfortable with trap door loads and still quite manageable with marlin level loads. The two cylinder 50AE/50JRH is probably my favorite, plenty of power and comfortable to shoot. Think of these as ruger super blackhawks but made much more tight.. All are accurate and well made. They're worth the price difference over the ruger.

Excellent!
My larp as an NCR ranger will be complete with this.
Yep I have a 30-30 pistol, but it’s a TC Contender with a 14” bull barrel and a scope. Great thing about the Contender is I can load spitzer bullets and with a 14” barrel it’s a like short rifle that fits in a shoulder holster.
Great review.
Beautiful Gun!
A friend of mine had a Thompson Center pistol in 45-70. He was a small guy and couldn't shoot it more than a few times. I tried it and the recoil wasn't that bad.
That is a beautiful revolver
Im going to start saving right now this revolver is really neat and i want one now
Had a 30-30 barrel for my TC Contender (single shot). My memory is it DID recoil. Thankfully a friend "had" to have it and I traded him something I wanted more for it.
I had the same gun and i went to shoot it at the gun range. The range officer took an interest in it and I encouraged him to try it out. He shoots it and I asked him did he want to shoot it again? He gave me a pained smile and said Im good.
My smith 629 has more recoil than my 3030 TC Contender.
However the TC is much louder.
I just can't see tapping such a beauty for a scope. I'm iron sight savvy
Magnum Research has a custom BFR site now too.
I had one of these years ago. The way to eliminate case setback and cylinder dragging is to swab the chambers with alcohol and give the ammo a wipe off to. ANY oil in the system results in dragging and case setback whereas a a very oil free chamber will allow the case wall to grip well enough to not force the case head back. oil actually makes the problem worse.
This would make a great companion to my Henry 30/30!!😂
I got ahold of a box or 2 of Core Lokt that had several rounds that snapped in my 94 Winchester. I believe Remington let some bad ammo slip through a few years ago.
Good demo. Thanks
A lot of folks seem to seriously underestimate just how much of the recoil in a firearm comes from the reciprocating mass of a semi-automatic action. Naturally with a revolver there's no such reciprocating mass, and with a big beefy boy like this the mass of the gun works in your favor to help mitigate how hard it kicks.
That green 2 liter exploded 😂
That hickok45 hits hard
Been waiting on this one for years. The .45-70 is cool and all, but I've always been more interested in the .30-30 BFR
I just love single actions! 😍
Remember. When this man says life is good, life is good.
I like it how hes shooting a .30-30 today and my dad just recently got a Marlin .30-30 lever action. That round looks meaner in a cylinder then a tube feeder 😂
Finally found a revolver that fits your hand!!!
That is seriously impressive a rifle caliber revolver I've seen a couple of those but never seen anyone shoot them great video overall make my 45 look like a toy lol
I've got one with the 10in barrel, love it for deer and hog. I always get funny looks at the range and people begging to shoot it. Smoothest recoil out of any pistol I own.
Have you ever chronographed it? I would like to know how fast the bullet is going. I am thinking maybe 16-1700 fps with 150 grain bullet.
@@MrTruckerf no I haven't, I'd like to know though cause what I typically use in it is 125gr HP federal stuff, a little light i know but it hasnt failed me yet, and where I hunt with it at, well 35 yards is a real long shot cause of the thick brush cover.
Excellent gun for home defense!
Had one in 45-70 and the cylinder would tighten up and sometimes certain brands of ammo would lock it up. Found out there is only .003 head space and some 45-70 rounds would vary by .005. I carefully file the recoil shield/ firing pin area an additional .003 and it would run fine.
That's a sweet looking piece sir 😺
Bardzo lubię ten kanał, męskie zajęcia praktyczne etc Pozdrawiam 😊
A Beautiful Fantastic Revolver
You can hand load 110 HPXT. I size them for 30-30 but anyway way less recoil and more velocity for plinking. Would do well in that gun. Vaporizes a 2 liter...
I love it! ❤❤❤
Love the 45-70
How about the Gong?!!
Budds guns in Lexington I have been there great guys! As an Irish guy who is a hunter I love the place !
That is a yuuge chunk of steel!
Ought to be officially named 'Authority'.
The big guns that's blows away everything.
Recoil fears this man
Gdamn !! 😅 Thats my favorite so far ! Definitely my favorite rifle 30 30 too model '94 ...
Nice piece
