On the underside inspection I noticed your fuel tank straps are very rusty, replace now with stainless steel ones off eBay, about £50 and you won't lose your fuel tank when the rusty ones break
Thanks. Checked them today and its just surface rust on one and the other still has black paint on so are solid and not rotten at all so ill put them on the list for the future but arent needed right now....
Do these engines have a rear mounted belt ? Will you be doing that or is it a timing chain either way great video was thinking of having my td5 swapped from auto to manual is this straightforward with the xyz switch etc ? Best regards jono

Goodness knows how heavy the XJ would have been if it had been made from steel rather than aluminium, because light it is not 😅👍🏻🏴

Yeah its very straight forward. They do have different ECUs but i believe going auto to manual you shouldnt have too many issues
What about the defender project?
Still awaiting the engine mounts to be made. Cant really progress till its not held in the chassis with a ratchet strap
