Fr tho my hair is down my back I have Pacific Islander type haor even though I'm Blasian my hair actually looks longer but yeah sometimes it takes 1hr 40 othertimes 3hrs

Lol you can use straws to achieve the same look without cutting your ends first. That was my go to style while transitioning.

I love the finger coils in my hair, but my arms are in so much pain afterwards, but the results are worth it... I'm able to do my finger coils in under 1.5hr now... Its my go-to style

I have been doing this exact style, the very same way you did it for as long as I've been natural (almost 3 years). Its my go to, very time consuming, pains the hell out of you arm but all worth it. I love this is and it last me atleat 3 weeks using eco styler. After about a week I start to do high puffs and a few other styles. The style is so versatile especially when it gets old.
Definitely going to try this next wash day.

the front of my hair like straightens out for some reason, the longer my hair is the less tight the curls get so the front is acting like a bitch because it's the longest and the back is doing fine but kinda shrinking a bit, bout to swing on these front hairs in a minute

I used to love doing finger coils when my hair was 5-6” long. When my arms & hands would get tired I used an ink pen and wrapped my hair around it and slid it off. 🤪

@@viazel2796 I slept with a bonnet and did minimal maintenance after a day or 2. Water is your best friend!!! On the coils that get a little frizzy, wet your fingers and add a little product to freshen them up and you should be good to go. Try mixing a little gel with your styler. Good luck!!!

I use leave in then alot of vaseline really saturate the hair and then a curling custard my hair is moisturized and last up to 4 -5 days before I moisturize it again. The Vaseline has helped me alot

I have the same issue with the top of my head. The curl pattern looks like heat damage 🤦🏽♀️ and i dont have heat damage
Donnae Barrett same I have a combination of 4a and 4b in the front of my head then 4c in the middle then in the back it’s 2b and I have 2b every other place in the front of my head.
The front of your hair probably lost elasticity. Pulling, brushing and constant updos can do that to your hair. Or it could just be a looser curl pattern.
nandaN yeah my hair in the back is very loose pattern I even though it was heat damage but when I pull a strand of hair it’s comes wavy from scalp I even cut my hair in the back thinking it’s damage but it’s genetics my mom got the same thing in the left front side of her hair.

Honestly I think that would just depend on your hair type and how much hair you have
Soft after drying depends on the products especially if you’re using gels, and how long the style lasts depends on how you take care of it. Mine lasts a week and a half before I have to wash my hair or redo it

@@naomi3447 a week if you sleep with a satin bonnet. That’s what I do too and it works
That’s the only cream of nature product that works for me. Anything Cantu will flake up bad freshly washed or not. I think the leave in spray is alright when your hair is wet but their moisturizing crepes just don’t work for me on my thick ass hair. Do the loc method with the products that already work well on your hair and if you use gel then the green bottle of eco styler works amazingly well and doesn’t flake nor dry and get hard. I make sure to use it last while twirling the coil and follow up with a little bit of oil that organix Moroccan Aragon oil serum or the panteen gold bottle of argon oil serum. Extremely moisturized which is amazing for me because my hair will soak up product like it’s a desert lmao. Great video!

I’ve tried finger coils and I hate them. Because my hair is longer and my roots puff up. They don’t last long. But comb twists. I lovveee. Hate the detangling process when I want to take them down tho.
