I remembered the HUGE visual quality of the first spiderman 1 and 2. Very impressive at this time where it was very hard to get the Sony colors quality even in 2D with photoshop lol.
Effects of first one was poor done, second one blew my mind in theatre
@@diastleu274There are some dated shots in 1, but I actually think some of the swinging shots in 1 look better than 2, especially that final swing.
Spider-Man was one of the greatest things to happen ever tbh, ya know.

I so much prefer Spiderman 2 vfx over todays Spiderman vfx
The Raimi Spider Man trilogy sparked my love of superhero cinema! I can’t choose between the three overall though. Even 3 is the teeniest bit enjoyable! I was even intimidated by Doc Ock’s metal tentacles! That’s how believable big budget visuals were in the 2000’s.
The reason why the original trilogy worked was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, there was no one left to stop AVI ARAD from destroying the franchise
Spider-Man was nothing without her
But Tom Holland being given the mantle after Garfield was enough to make up for that loss. That and the Spiderverse movies

I have a vested interest in protecting legacies of many types and will be on board with smthg they approve of. I know they put a ton of work and money into this and I agree with some to many of their political goals
Still the best live action Spider Man film! And the visual effects hold up really well even 20 years later
First Oscar for a Spider-Man movie until Into The Spiderverse won
I’m still surprised how good Into The Spiderverse was. And I’m glad I watched it before Oscar night. I thought the self reference humor was going to ruin it.
Talk about a deserved Oscar win. Even 20 years later, you can still be impressed by their work.
