the CHINESE ELECTRIC SPORTBIKE is FINISHED! (Installing ALL UPGRADES)

- The electric sportbike from China is upgraded! All mods are installed and soon to be running. I can't believe the chinese electric sportbike is almost ready to rip. I'm SO. EXCITED. If you're new here, this is my Electric motorcycle I bought from China (off Alibaba.com), which was a scam, but I made the most of it and decided to upgrade it instead of complain like a lil b****.
TODAY, we install a new Kelly controller, an 8,000W hub motor (8kw), and 2 additional lithium ion battery packs (total of 3 lithium ion batteries). Also painted it and installed a sound system!
Enjoy!

BUT, if you're considering buying one like this, watch the whole video. It is very hard to get one of these and you may not get what you pay for.
THE SELLER CHANGED HIS COMPANY NAME TO "Wuxi Jose Vehicles Co., Ltd" ...Avoid them like the plague...and they keep changing their name. information may be outdated at any point. haha

You guys should definitely make a pdf or something like this with everything you did so that people (like me) can take a hand at this too!! Great job!!
For sure! Will definitely do that when it's all done! 🙌🏽
@@TheInja indeed! Salute
ID pay for it.
This by no means to offend these guys that have worked hard to build this bike or produce entertaining content. But,.... No one, I mean NO ONE should be looking for how to advice from this channel. This is for entertainment ONLY. So many wrongs here, and tons of missing information. High voltage electronics require some expertise and knowledge of physics and electronic circuits, to do it safely anyway. This is fly by the seat of your pants, hoe nothing catches fire or breaks at 80mph kind of information. How to stuff should be found elsewhere. Just watch for fun and leave it at that.
Please do. I love this
Man your buddy is the real mvp. That man deserves a medal👏.
And a fat paycheck!
Love what you do,my girl and I are trying to find EBikes, for us wandering if you have herd of or used or purchased any bikes from Alibaba ,ifso would you recommend them ?keep up the good work two thumbs from both of us👍👍
Now use the old motor in the front tire motor for a 2x2 eletric bike ;)
😏
The problem there is you get wheelspin under hard acceleration and the bike falls over. This is why you don't see it. It's been tried and it's not good. It's only feasible on low powered bikes that go off road like the Rokon.
Soo That's a problem if the bike wheelie under acceleration, but the bike has only one gear in a 8kw motor, my bike has around 22kw gas powered engine, and it's only get power wheelies on 1st.
I see this happening to the bike, and if it's possible, you can have a good TCS, electric motors are more easy to get goin, cuz normally those bikes already has ABS(I don't see if the Chinese has one -_-) you jus have to Integrate on the sistema to keep those two wheels around the same speed.
I put the ";)" because I know that was a big challenge! But thanks for a side that a don't see before.
Synchronising two motors is problematic, and power delivery on the front wont be pleasant... problems with steering, and unsprung mass. Great idea, but not worth it if you are modifying bike. Build from scratch.... maybe...
I came to the comments to say the same thing... Fairly certain that because its not as high speed as the front it should be safe
You've done a great job! Mostly at not losing your cool over the whole thing. I think your patience are legendary levels. Can't wait to see it running.
Excellent job. Well done for the dedication all the way through from your ordeal actually getting the bike to now finishing it with all the mods. I've really enjoyed watching your progress and would love to attempt something similar. I hope it exceeds expectations when it comes to the ride!
Amazing transformation; I'm stoked to witness the 8KW hub motor performance. Two thumbs up!
Thanks, Steven! Glad to have you watching!
Well it's almost there and you have it mostly dialed in. Be interesting to see the all around improvement in range and speed.
YESSIRRRRRRRRR i’ve honestly been waiting on this vid and i’m totally stoked for the next ! that paint job looks sick btw madd props man💯👏🏽
Appreciate it, Tj!!
The dynamic and shock loads on the frame will be orders of magnitude higher than the static loads, so make sure to take it easy at first, especially at highway speeds.
Bike looks awesome... you look so happy... glad it's working out. Just minor things here and there but it will get done. Love hearing your channel music on the bike... sounds great
I've been binge watched your videos, man. So much fun and energy and you brought us along for the ride.
I can understand why some people don't like some of your purchasing decisions, but nobody diss on how you handle the items given what you have. Only suggestions and experience comments about how those people had handled the same problems, or their attempts to. Implying the large majority of us understands why you did what you did, and here we are!

Congratulations on another step closer to the finished product.... its coming along great!
That ride looks amazing. Can't wait to see it run. Great production guys.
I love how honest you are when you don't know... That's the best part about watching your vids. im making e kart and i go through the samething!
Appreciate it and good luck on the build! Make sure to let me know how it goes!

Been watching this journey since the beginning. Really excited for first ride. Glad your getting her the way she was suppose to be and better.
Absolutely. 😭🙌🏽
The Inja That literally looks like a bomb 7:00. I know we discussed blowing up the controller but not the entire house with it jeese. I do also hope you can get that controller fine tuned as well so it runs perfectly.
That looks better than any electric bike on the market right now. Imagine if Kawasaki turned a Ninja into one of these. The sound system was a brilliant idea!
Tweet them for me! Haha
I am so happy for you, the Bike looks so awesome, gorgeous. Can't wait to see it on the road.
Thanks for share with us this knowledge, I can learn a lot watching your videos, I improve my listening and my knowledge about electric bikes.
I'm happy with all that you make.
It looks much better than it looked before!!! I cannot believe it!! hard work always pays off!! cannot wait for the first ride!
(I'm just now going through this series of videos on this bike!)
OK... NOW you have a serious battery pack. Glad to see your original pack was good! That should now be able to handle more motor than you'll find in a hub-motor.... unless maybe it's a dual - like the DU-602.
Hi guys great job.👍👍👍I'm have kelly controller on my DIY ebike , first contact only throttle plug, and pink wire to + , check diagram.
And start the motor.
Wow! That’s a lot of work. The time lapse of the battery build is amazing! Lots of skill went into that machine. Lots of Love too. One Cyclist to another...ride it safe!
Thanks, Michael!
I just subscribed from Nigeria 🇳🇬
I literally had to watch all videos on this bike, you did a really good job bro 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for this series it has got me hooked on your channel keep it up man!
Awesome video! Keep the content coming! The transformation of the bike is really amazing. Can’t wait to see how she drives!
Awesome job! I think you show what it means to take a project from "ow" to "WOW"!!!. If it only was easy to import.
A guy at work bought the 200cc Chinese Lifan enduro bike. He wishes he added all new brake fluid right away. Months later, the brake fluid gummed up and he had to clean out the master cylinders and calipers. From my reading, Lifan bought the old factory equipment for a 250cc Suzuki, then dropped the piston size for better reliability for their lower quality metal for the connecting rod and crankshaft. Also, if it ever needs to be bored out for a new piston, you might be able to find an original Suzuki piston. However, Lifan sells a whole new engine for a reasonable price.
LOVE IT! Keep building those awesome bikes.
Will do my man!! 👊🏽
That smile in your face when looking at near finished job was priceless. One to change should be the info display of the bike.
Going to be adding a GPS to it 🔥
this is the future of bike modding... I think I can live with that
Are you going to roll down the street playing engine sounds 😂
You freakin KNOW IT
EPIC build guys 👏👏 hats off to you. Bet you never thought you'd have this when you first ordered it.
Looking forward to seeing how it runs.
Absolutely. 👏🏽👏🏽
This is absolutely incredible!! I am loving this series
Looks really awesome dude! Don't worry I know you will really love that after you hooked up the correct wiring for the setup, you're just 3 feet away from gold man! :)
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
wow ! Nice job dude !! What a beauty ! Hope to see it run soon !!! Keep up the good work dude and stay safe !! 👌👌
Appreciate it, my man!!
The clip at the start. That got me good. My hands were like trying to catch the bike xDDD
Excellent job, congrats! The hard work paid off, nice looking bike!
i can see this channel blowing up soon🔥
love the content...
you are like the goonzquad to moto world🔥
Best compliment I've ever been given :']
I agree with you, ISLY...
Looks so damn good. The speakers are an amazing touch. (the only thing I would try to change would be the "gas-cap" by making it black, but I couldn't do it better)
🙏🏽
Just came across this video. Thanks very much very informative. I wonder if you would let me know where to get a GPS for this bike and where to get the power from the controller please?
Watching these two with that battery is about as suspenseful as you can get.
Damn dude I’m happy for you! Finally got it just about done!! Awesome job bro. Happy for ya 😎
That's so cool😍 Love your videos, I'm right now trying to get motorcycle license in Finland and I just can't wait to start riding. In Finland our laws sucks, first when you get license you can drive only bike that has max 35kw engine (18yo) and after 2 years (20yo) you can get license for bigger bike, but still I'm gonna use all of my money just to get my own bike and license.
Good luck mate. It will be worth it in the end..👍
Damn. And my project bike is still missing indicators... Great job guys! Hope you will enjoy this bike for a loong time!
Appreciate it!
Wow I have a all electric motorcycle R3 and I’m thinking of making my own lithium battery like you did I have a 2000 watt hub motor 32 ah 72 volt and as of right now my bikes top speed is 85 kms im interested to see how much faster your bike will go now with the new upgrades
Good job! Looks awesome. Can't wait to see it running!!
Oh, you gotta play the ice cream truck music on it. So quiet people will be looking around like where is it @?
😂
Congrats that bike will be amazing, it looks great! Did you put a BMS for the 3 bat packs? I'm on a proyect and I need 24v 6s16p, on 2 packs 3s16p, each pack will be un series with his own bms to get the 24v. Do you think that 2 12v battery packs with their own bms connected in series to get the 24v will not suffer from the charge of a 24v source?
You changed the color I like it the white looks so much better haha that lawn looked like mine before I mowed the rain did some good for grass growing
I've watched this video at least six times on different occasions you deserve an award for re-engineering that bike .
Damn! you are nuts guys, respect. you really spend very well your time.
LOL the explosion meme surprised me there! The part where you're at the computer studying diagrams made me think "Your wiring skill has increased," Skyrim style. Every time I see an automotive youtuber messing with wiring a harness, I'm amazed anyone can make sense out of them.
Confusing stuff for sure! A whole new world wiring an electric bike.
Been watching since your unboxing, your videos kept popping up since lol. The big dude knows his batteries for sure ha.
LOL! you said Frick! You want to go swim at the rez? Fish in the crick?😂😂😂😂 oh my heck...this build is SICK!!
4:21 got me pretty good ngl lmao
When you put it all back together without everything figured out and working I was like - Oh No. There's a lot more work to be done to get it running right. But I guess you just wanted to show off the bike, which is cool.
Looks way better! Can't wait to see it going!
Hi from NZ!
Looks like a good candidate for a mild swing arm extension. :)
it's looking damn good
SO much better 💯
@@TheInja Yes It Is
Im sooo happy man 😅
Keep us posted with frequent videos
And dont forget the bubble machine
Looking sweet I can't wait to see it running and what it can do
4:26 Hahahaha! Excellent! Absolutely hilarious...
Great video, bike looks awesome. Would like to see one as a cafecracer.
Well done man ! Can't wait to see that running !!
Mannnnn you guys did a phenomenal job!! What a cool up grade! 😎🤙🏾
I liked the explosion... Hahahaha 😂😂.....Great work brother.....this is true talent ...You buddy is great he is the real mastermind your hardwork is appreciated too..
FINALLLLYYY IVE BEEN WAITING
Awesome. Hope you figure out the controller settings it's pretty simple. Or ask your supplier who sent you the kit if it CNQS motors ask for Vincent he knows pretty well.
“Finished” is a term that is used very loosely in this videos title. 😂🤦🏼♂️
For how long it took us to do everything, though, it feels very good to finally be able to say that 💯
Totally. I get it man, it’s been allot of work I’m sure, excited to see what it can do when it’s finished.
I kinda had the same feeling in the end, that why is that called finished if it doesn't run yet? I get it, it has arrived to a finishing stage but yet to be completely finished. It's a bit misleading i guess.
@@lorybeee1869 video of it running tomorrow 😏😏😏
@@TheInja I gladly hear that, can't wait for it to see it running finally, after so much effort put in it.
That frame and body has been floating around China forever. I built a 5000w version 7 years ago out of one I bought on taobao. White also. It came with a really crappy controller, componenets and lead acids. So it was a big project converting it. That frame though... scary. During the first year of riding I had welds fail. It is something you should be very careful with. I eventually scrapped the bike and used the controller and battery pack to build a moped. Still have the 5000w hub in my garage rotting.
Hey man great job. Looks sick! Ps: have you thought about the batterie's ventilation, I mean it will get pretty hot with all that wrapping and that could be dangerous. Also add some decals on the fairings, it'll look even better.
looks good man. nice project!
the speakers sound great Iinja well done
This is a cool video man.i wish I had the knowledge to do something like this.
You must first identify the engine (identification angle) in the program where 85 is written 170 and save the ignition switch off and on again, but first make sure that the rear wheel can move freely, then switch on the ignition and wait until the program is finished, reset error appears Then switch the ignition off and on again. Please watch whether the wheel turns correctly when identifying, if not there is a function Change Direction tick there 😉 good luck looking forward to the first ride 😎☺
Awesome!! Trying it today!
@@TheInja And did everything work? 🤔😊
@@thomaswersonst28 it tried to work, but the wheel looked stuck. It would kinda wiggle it back and forth but it wouldn't spin!
@@TheInja yes that is normal it learns the hall sensors when this is done and the error message appears in the program. Then it is finished. Simply switch the ignition off and turn it on 😉
@@TheInja Please let me know if it works as I said, if the wheel turns the wrong way, just tick the Change Direction in the program and it will turn around properly. 😉If you have any questions about the other settings, I might be able to help you set where I think it works better with my engine and has a compromise between performance and consumption. I just built the new battery and upgraded the controller KLS7218S 😎Motor I have a Mexus 3K Turbo but I have a bike 😅 🤪💪 This time I built the battery in 21s and 8P, but with 72V charge fully charged 84V to protect the cells because full charging is not so good for the cells I installed a BMS with me that I can set completely with Bluetooth on the cell phone kann it can be 300A and goes from 14-24S because I had previously had problems with a normal one, so I can di ese only recommend and you can monitor everything that the individual series have for voltages and if errors occur that is also there 😎
I recently bought one of these as well. I want to replace the 3000 watt motor with a 5000 watt. Can I just do a smooth switch out or do I have to also replace things like capacitor, etc..? Will it be able to handle a 5000 watt motor?
Nice Project!!! looking good.... how about water going inside the battery place? is it sealed? dos it get hot charging , or when speeding ??? This bike looks good even naked!!!
This looks amazing man!
Congratulations! it came out great, it's super cool bro🔥🔥🍉
very nice... I wouldn't mind doing a project like this
Just subscribed to you just because we have the same hobby. Currently, still working on my electric kart, keep up the good work!
with painting, it's usually:
primer, sand down.
primer, sand down
2-3 colour coats
2x clear coats
One clear coat isn't enough to offer significant protection
Can you post a part list somewhere? Or does anyone know what specific parts were used? I'm getting a base model electric motorcycle. I want to upgrade to a 10kw hub motor, 72v 80 AH lithium battery, basically I'll copy the ones from this build. I also need to know what controller was used.
Damn that’s an impressive build!
I don't know anything about bikes but am enjoying your videos... these videos are making me want one.
*I would use revheads app to Bluetooth the sounds of a motorcycle every time I rev the bike lol*
Looks great! Hoping someday you can make this a dual hub motorcycle. 16k w dual motor is crazy!
Looks fire can't wait for first ride
So your Pin 7 needs at least 18v to initialize the controller and your pin 11's the 12v are outs for running small accessories that don't require a lot of amps. If ya decide to run the regenerative braking you can run the 12v positive off the brake light to the pin25 on the harness, the max input voltage that can take is 15v ( I had to email kelly to find that out in my build). You'll want to play around with the breaking percentage 10-15% (think line 8 in the software) is a good range for a light braking power for something that weighs close to a 250r, a 100% is almost like locking the back brake. I think someone else mentioned it in the comments that you will need to run an angle Identification should be on page 17 in that kelly manual ( ya can also email the guys at QS motor for the exact valves to put in the software and they are pretty good about responding back) and you'll need to find out if the throttle you're using 0-5v or a 3-wire potentiometer, can set that under the TPS Type in the software.
Awesome work,I know they advice that u run the hub motor at 72Volts,but run it at 96volt if u want serious performance
hope you get it going soon, ive been looking like crazy to find a bike big enough for my heavy arse
Looks sick now great work
Worth the wait!! The paint job looks bad ass🔥🔥
So good 💯
superb, you did it & howmuch you shell out for upgradation ?
I'll be doing a full video soon! I don't even know the exact number 😅
4:26 OMG!! My guts hurt from laughing.. I kept thinking the whole time you guys were assembling those battery packs, "I sure hope they don't get anything crossed u.... *VAROOOMMM!!!* :-D Seriously though, I would have been building those packs in a concrete bunker!! :-O
Very cool guys! Great job! Love the video!
Been waiting a long time for this
Same bro! Finally almost done with it 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
The Inja just wanted to say holy sh*t that’s a lot of work from the beginning of the series until now that’s amazing keep up the good work and I hope to see this beast running on the streets pretty soon.
@@sleekovic7223 same bro, so happy to have you guys to share it with!
Awesome work!
I did my 96v motor, battery, and controller upgrade on my grom clone in a few hours. Yours is taking forever 😂
bossmustang6able that’s what happens when there’s no documentation and you build the battery from scratch
