  • What's up Dronrs! Got another episode of Dronr Dialogue for you today.
I was working with Glide Aerials for a few drone shots for a TV show (a little more about that in the video), and I wanted to tell you a bit about what it's like on set since Covid protocols have been put into effect.
But the REAL story is that our whole production came to a halt when we saw a different sort of bird in the sky- and I'll tell you exactly how we dealt with it.
Hope you find this story of my time on set entertaining and informative, please give it a like if you do, and be sure to SUBSCRIBE if you want to hear more stories like this or see more drone and tech content- but as always make sure to Stay Fly!

I had an experience with a person who call me by name and told me I needed to move. I was in a neighborhood waiting for the sun to set for a house I was hired to photograph. I told the lady what I was doing and she stated she had the police on the way. I am law enforcement off duty and since she called me by name must of had an encounter with her or family. So I move way from her house to the roadway in front of the house I was shooting and I can see her on her phone in the roadway behind me. By this time I have my drone unpacked and about three police vehicles show up, home owners association, several neighbors and a dog. Long story short after explaining what I was doing everyone was like so what’s the problem. I pointed to the lady still on the phone and one of officers said I will handle this and proceeded to her and made her get out of the road and spoke with her. It took me about an hour to do a couple minutes of photos. I had a lot of impressed people watching the drone and handed out numerous business cards. Police handled the situation very professional.🇺🇸💯

Great story. I photographed one of the LAPD helicopters doing a flyover at the Korean Bell from the groud. Video is posted on my channel. I used to fly in the Suffolk County, NY PD helicopter. Kudos to you and your crew for not flying when the LAPD helicopter was nearby. Safety safety safety first.

As a former video journalist the first thing I would think is that the FSO should be there to help you. He in the long for some helicopter are both our government agencies and I assume he sees you guys doing the right thing, therefore i’m not surprise he knows someone with law-enforcement. In reality it shouldn’t take “someone in law-enforcement knowing somebody" for this action to occur. It seems like if you’re doing the right thing, you’ve done all the right steps, then you should have someone advocating for you. Just my thoughts.
