Germany literally drops the beer from up high and you then you have to wait for the bartender to then fill the glass.. I used to order two pints at a time as it’s not like the UK, wham bam thank you mam.. In the UK we are allowed to put shit in it like sulphides, anti foaming agents and the like.. Slower is better..clean beer gives you less chance of a hangover in the morning.. Drinking less also, but that misses the point! Lol 😂
IF you're getting the bottle with the glass, then it doesn't really matter, since you're getting the full 12 ounces either way... if they're just serving you the glass, then yeah, the second option is a rip-off

Yeah I like a quick pour on certain beers. My issue with this one is there was still alot left in the bottle. And I tend to drink slow so I don't really like a flat beer.
The way I learned to pour a beer was tilt the glass fill it about halfway to 3/4 slowly then you can speed up and straighten out the glass so it forms a head and dissipates some of the fizz

I like a bit of a head, my pour is usually somewhere in between the two demonstrations. Some of the macrobrews are super carbonated though so I get why you would want to take some of that fizziness out. Also depends on the size of the beer and size of the glass
I used to help my brother, a 20 year bartender, in his private parties. He always reminded me to pour the beer slowly like this guy did the first time. I remember one time i poured it quickly because i was overwhelmed with orders , and the guy that i was serving said, "ill take the foam in a box for later." Sarcastically letting me know no one wants that nasty foam, but i dont drink beer so i wouldn't know the difference in taste.
People missing that the one with "more beer" turned into mostly foam and finished the same level as the one that was poured faster anyway. So you get the same amount of beer with less bloat 😐

I personally enjoy the suds. I like that burning sensation as it goes down, and then ripping a huge belch after a healthy chug. Feels great after a long day.

No beer should ever have that much head, he couldn't even fit it all. He owns and renovates bars. He's not a bartender. Two completely different jobs. He's great at what he does, that just so happens to not being pouting drinks. The first way he did it was incorrect too tho so he's half right I guess?

I like a bit of a head, my pour is usually somewhere in between the two demonstrations. Some of the macrobrews are super carbonated though so I get why you would want to take some of that fizziness out. Also depends on the size of the beer and size of the glass
