Rubaya Syed was kidnapped during VP Singh Govt. at centre led by Janta Party (Currently called BJP). Mufti Syed was Home Minister during that time. So it was BJP govt. who did that mistake. Now if you guys accept it and share it.
And hence people of Bharat need a nationalist full majority government.
When Rubaiya Sayeed kidnapped the PM was V.P. Singh with the support of BJP.
It is very unfortunate that such a senior and respectable officer like him is giving misinformation in a podcast which is widely viewed and the podcaster and his team is also not rectifying it.
Also without entering the politics behind it 3 mistakes which are being told by Vaid sir were done under different PMs 1st Rajiv Gandhi 2nd V.P. Singh with the support of BJP and 3rd is Chandrasekhar (as he said).
But using only Rajiv Gandhi's photo in the template with the caption 3 worst political mistakes of kashmir is very much unfortunate.
Please at least pretend to be unbiased in podcasts.
Rightly said, but just want to make an addition.
1. V.P.Singh became pm 5 days before this incident.
2. V.P.Singh was against Rath yatra and was responsible for arrest of L.K.Advani. he was also against demolition of Babari. He was very left leaning.
The collation= Today's India alliance - BJP + Congress.
Congress was alone and very powerful back then, and all the leaders of India alliance including Lalu, Mulayam and other regional parties including the communists made the third front.
The political scenario was such that both BJP and left and all other regional parties who are members of India alliance supported V.P.Singh to be pm just for the sake of opposing Rajeev Gandhi. He stood for everything BJP is against. BJP was irrelevant back then, but bjp later left the third front collation because of ideological differences, and my god look where BJP is now.
Good old days.
I think there is a lesson for Congress in this history. Congress instead of changing its ideology and aligning it's ideology with those of left and other regional parties should leave the alliance and borrow it's own old ideology from 1970s. I am sure Congress will do much better. It seems like Modi learned a lot from congress of 70s and 80s and adopted and implemented it more than the congress party itself.

@@RaveesIslam Janta dal and Janta party and bhartiya janta party are different parties. Janta party was predecessor of bhartiya janta party. Janta dal was left leaning party and the government of jantadal was supported by Mulayam, Lalu and other socialist and left leaning parties. (Currently all those parties or their successor parties are aligned with congress AS OF 2024). Hence BJP withdrew its support to Janta dal.
Secondly when this incident happened V.P.Singh was in his 5th day as PM. I never said he was pm for 5 days. He continued as PM even after this incident. Understand the facts right bro.
Credit for mess initiated with immature Nehrus shallow vision, Abdullah families, Gula Shah & at the end by "inefficient Rajiv Gandhi". I know, how I saved my family, when forced to evict. The result: exodus of 3.5 lac KPs, & thousands of K. muslims killed (including many of my muslim friends), loss of academic years etc.
