  • This machine has about 250 hours on it since new and it is definitely overdue for a tension on the tracks. They were very loose I wanted to get on this maintenance before loosing a track and causing a big headache.

    Cool! I had no idea that's how it's done! Definitely a good idea to make sure there is no slop!

      There's nothing worse than having your track fall off!

      @@ThriftyGarage especially on a bobcat, the drive sprocket cant be taken apart to slide the tracks back in

    I bought a worx coordless pressure washer, dual battery to clean areas I need to get into. I like the Milwaukee Corrdless Grease gun with the LockAndLube fitting on the end. My 2014 T650 has the roller suspension and the grease release and zerk panel is right there under the sprocket roller where all the mud cakes up, so it's a bit of doing to get it cleaned off. I like those Gojo hand towel packets for keeping hands clean from the grease that gets everywhere.

    Approx how many pumps of grease did you use?

    Do you have to loosen up the zurk too?

    • @ThriftyGarage
      @ThriftyGarage  Před 3 lety +1

      Only if you want to release the pressure on the track. Main reason being if you were to install new tracks. The zerk has a one way valve only allowing grease to go inside and fill the cylinder pushing on the front idler.

    How do you retract it to fit it in ?

    • @ThriftyGarage
      @ThriftyGarage  Před 8 měsíci

      When we change tracks usually we will use our Bobcat E35 to push on the front roller to retract it (after loosening the grease bolt). But you can also use a pry tool such as a 6' bar.
