  • Here's a little time lapse I did of jacking up and removing the tracks on my Bobcat T190. It took about 20 minutes in real time.

    That's actually pretty cool, if you think about it, its kinda reminds me the way we used to change tires on our bicycles when we were kids, cheaper than having someone come out and do it for you, nice job!

    Hi, did this lift both tracks off the ground or just one? are the three bars enough to cause the track to come off? do they cause more grease to come out? hows about putting the track back on? does it go on pretty easy?

    My experience is that when you get quick at taking tracks off and on you have bigger problems. Right Jim.

    Do you do this swap every spring and fall for snow tracks?

      No, just have the one set of tracks. They work fine for the little bit I use it in the winter.

    What diameter and thickness of the steel were those pipes?

    • @JimHowDigsDirt
      @JimHowDigsDirt  Před 4 lety

      I think they are about 2 inch pipe and are just a medium thickness. Maybe twice the thickness of an exhaust pipe?

      @@JimHowDigsDirt Sounds about like 1/8" thick steel? Perhaps schedule 40 steel pipe.

      Good luck! Use three pieces of pipe like I done in this video and they will slide right off.

      Your method works great! had to get the feel on the first track but the seconds took no time at all. Got my drive motor fluids changed and hear no noise. Probably saved me thousands in the long run.

      That's great! I changed the fluids in mine and it looked fine, no metal filings. I also checked my case drain filters while it was apart and it also looked clean.

    Not a fan of the music or fast video speed. Not a good way to convey information. Many of
    your other videos are very helpful. Thank you
