a cool unique idea i had for a tier list was a death battle tier list mainly using how powerful death battle beleives them to be mainly useing the fight animation and the anyalsis as back up evidence i will use thor as an example thor is a tier above raiden as he stomped him thor is on the same tier as blue evolved vegeta as the fought quit equaley warriors madness thor goes a tier above and fought equally with ultra ego vegeta who would go on this tier wonder woman in base was able to go equal with warriors maddness thor and was able to beat him she-ra was able to overpower wonder woman with high diffcultie and wonder woman had to go into her super form to defeat her wonder womans super form would go a tier above as she one shot she-ra and you keep going and going antil you reach everyone you bascally link almost al fighters in death battle back to marvel and dc of course with one-off characters who don't scale to anyone but eachother it mostly be guess work you could use statments from wiz and bombstick like how wiz believed spongeob WOULD beat goku and how sun wukong COULD beat goku and obviously the characters on the top tier would be the ones scaled to being able to destroy infinite multiverse like xeno trunks,archie silver,archie sonic,wally west,scarlet witch,zatanna and true fate all using what death battle states and what i'm saying is in the anaylsis they scaled steven universe to dwarf star level and star butterfly to universal but in the fight animation the fought eachother pretty equaly.
Recall that in chapter 4, John was not 100% after the damage received in Chapter 3, which made him not move so fast or were not more accurate in his attacks. The same as Daredevil in Season 3, where as John, Matt was quite damaged by the accident he had in The Defenders and therefore lost speed and physical resistance. In my opinion John Wick (100%) of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 defeat to Caine, Killa and Chidi with High-Mid Diff.
(Please take into account that what I'm saying does not include Prime John Wick) I have to somewhat disagree with this list. Long story short, some people are too high, some people are too low and some are misplaced in my opinion. Here's how my ranking would go: Elite Assassins: Zero, John Wick, Caine, Chidi, Killa, Cassian High Assassins: Kirill, Koji, Akira, Sofia, Marcus Mid Assassins: Mr. Nobody, Charon, Ernest, Miss Perkins, Ares, Viggo I did not include Chumps or Low Assassins because I consider them irrelevant, but this is how my personal ranking would be. As for your question, Zero lost to an arguably healthier version of John than the one Caine fought in chapter 4, and he only lost due to cockiness and fanboyism. He was dominating John the entire fight, gaining the upper hand on him several times, more often than John did against him. Here is the way I see it: Caine was fighting evenly with a John who had just survived a fall from 30 stories (albeit he had time to recover) and had gone through leagues of assassins just moments beforehand, whereas Zero was beating a John who had only fought through a few assassins (including Zero's students) on the same day as his encounter, while taking breaks inbetween each fight sequence. And John had not fallen 30 stories yet. Had Zero taken John's life the first time he got the upper hand, he would've won. But he didn't, which led to his downfall. Zero is better than both movies John Wick and Caine, in my opinion. Is this the only problem you have with either of my lists?
The bodyguard from Chapter 4 is probably stronger than John Wick and i would even say better in hand to hand combat. I cant see him being in High Assassin where yo put him. Do you seriously think he wouldnt kill Caine?

@@oliver-04 He was matched by Koji at the beginning of the movie, and if he wasn't wearing his bullet proof suit he would have been killed by him. He is arguably Elite Assassin tier, but he is not above John or Caine.
