    Hey Richard! I just got accepted into Rotman Commerce! Do you know how far is walking distance between the New college residence and most of the classes?

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +8

      First of all congratulations and very good question, so since there isn’t a set classroom for each courses in university, it’s hard to tell you how far it would be for you to walk to your classes from New College. Every year/semester/section they offer the exact same course in different location so I may have taken the same course in location A but you may have to take that course in location B. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

    Hey I was wondering how can students study and work at the same time I mean it seems tough a bit..can you recommend any tips ?

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +6

      Great question, I personally haven't worked while studying in university but some of my friends managed to do it. I think it all depends on how much of your personal time you are willing to sacrifice and how good you are in terms of time management. So I would definitely recommend you to have a good schedule if you want to work and study at the same time👍👍

    Hey, Richard! Your videos are very informative and i am binge watching them as of now. Just wanted to ask, why you think your econ classes are boring and hard? Do you think its worth it? I am a social science student for this fall and can’t wait to experience all of it in person!

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +8

      First of all thank you for your kind words, it really motivates me to make more videos in the future. Also congratulations on your acceptance👍👍. So when I said Econ is boring and hard it was partially a joke for the video. I do agree that econ can get boring and hard sometimes but its also the most interesting subject as well. I definitely think it is worth it but I want to emphasize that it can get pretty challenging. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish you the best of luck in the future!

    Hey there!! Thank you for the helpful video😊😊. I was wondering if a full time student at the University of Toronto would find time for a part-time job??

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +5

      Great question and thank you for your kind words, so yes I know some of my friends who are managing to study full time and also work a part-time job at the same time. Its definitely possible but I also don't know how they can manage everything. They will definitely have less time to join clubs, socialize and study but my friends seem to enjoy working. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

      Great question, so the dorms have wifi and AC/heater 👍👍. 2.Also do the classes at Rotman ever leave the students with extra time for part time jobs ?
    3. In which year is the Co-op?

    Middle school kid me going to school at 8:30
    Also how long is University

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +4

      Yes haha, it’s because I usually stay up late to finish my work. University lectures don’t start as early as middle school or high school and university students are actually in school less than middle/high school students. However there is definitely a lot more work/exams in university. Everyone has different schedules which means everyone is in school for different amount of hours. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish you the best of luck in your future!

    Hi Richard! First off, your videos have been helping me a lot lately! I want to be a Sales Manager, and I was thinking about getting a Industrial Engineering degree, but now I don't know if I should get a Business Degree... What do you think ? If Business is the right one, which area should I study ? Management, Finace and Economics or Accouting ? As you study at Rotman, these are the options that are available.
    Thank you !

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +4

      Thank you for your kind words, I am very glad my videos were able to help you out. So I would like to first say that both business and industrial engineering degree are very good degrees to have. Since I am not an expert in this area so I am very hesitant to recommend you which degree to pursue. However that being said if you want to be a sales manager, to the best of my knowledge pursing management specialist and taking a bunch of marketing course would be good. Also you are very correct about the three main branches of Rotman. I want to emphasize that my answer may not be the best recommendation but I answered your question from the best of my knowledge. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

    Hey Richard! I only want to ask, is it easy to enter U of T? And is it stressful as people say?

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +6

      Great question, I definitely think its easier to get into the program than to graduate from it. It can get quite stressful sometimes but you also learn a lot from that process. For more information about this I suggest that you watch my other video "Is University of Toronto really that hard?". I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

    Did you apply to any Ones programs? Which Ones Programs do you recommend for students interested in studying business?

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello thank you for your question! So I didn't apply for any Ones programs, but some of the popular courses that business students take is psychology (PSY 100, but this is not part of Ones program). I hope I was able to answer your questions and please let me know if you have any further questions. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

    Hi Richard! Got accepted to Political science at UTSG, do u have any thoughts on the major and the people who take the major? Whats the vibe and stereotypes?

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +1

      Great question, so political science at UTSG is a popular major at uoft. A lot of friends are currently majoring in political science and my thoughts on the major is very positive. I was actually thinking of majoring in political science and if I didn't get into Rotman I probably would've majored in political science. I don't think there are any stereotypes for political science students and I haven't heard anything bad about the major as well. So overall I think you made a great decision. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

    hey richard! i wanted to ask: are you a domestic student or international? how does it affect your tuition fees and move in if you're coming to uoft from overseas?

    • @RichardHan
      @RichardHan  Před 4 lety +3

      Great question, so I am a domestic student and the tuition fee differs a lot between domestic and international students. I don’t remember how much more international students pay but it’s definitely more than what domestic students pay. For more information about this I suggest you watch my other video “Is it worth going to University of Toronto?”. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!
